Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by stopover Good property as a stopover for an overseas holiday - we have used it often mainly for its nearness to Sydney airport. However when the new hotel is built actually at the airport and the cost is reasonable we may be tempted to stay there for its better convenience. The Holiday Inn may need to look at its rates and charge for shuttle - even though i know that is another company. October 28, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impressed by personal touch We stayed at Sydney Airport HI for 1 night before returning to Canada at the end of our honeymoon. After such a long trip, we were looking forward to finally going home. Usually the last hotel you stay in on a long trip, is an airport hotel. Typically bland and impersonal, that last hotel tends to be the worst of the whole trip. We were very pleased with the hotel, clean/modern/spacious and were thrilled by the staff at the front desk. Within minutes of checking in, some one from the front desk personally delivered a bottle of spakling wine with a handwritten card that was signed by the entire reception team. Very cool. Nice choice of pillows, well-priced bar menu. My only suggestion would be to improve the water pressure for the shower. October 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smoking The Hotel is smoke free but people is allow to smoke just outside its gate. There are cigarette ash trays even. This is very unhealthy, anconfotable and it contradict the smoke free slogan of the Hotel. October 22, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room booking Booked a room with 2 queen beds, but was downgraded to 1 queen and a double. The final bill reflected the wrong rate and it was not a great experience having to rectify this early in the morning before heading off to the airport. I am a Priority member and felt like this did not matter. I stay in motels often and this was one of qthe worst Holiday inns as far as value of money and booking honesty was concerned October 18, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel with one flaw The Sydney Airport Holiday Inn is an excellent hotel in a great location for access to both the airport and the Sydney train system. The room was clean and comfortable. Additionally, it was very quite given the close proximity to both active runways. There is one area that travelers must consider. The airport shuttle is independent of the HI. Based on my experience, they are unreliable. The bus arrived 10 minutes late (on a 20 minute rotation). He then left the property 15 minutes late only to circle the block returning to the HI. My only guess was that he was trying to get back on schedule at my bus loads expense. Either allow thirty minutes extra or take a taxi. October 13, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed but remember to bring your own first aid kit simple accommodation close to the airport. The gym is rudimentary and the pool looks like a small navy blue child's pool shaped in a small kidney shape. There is a small dry sauna attached to the gym. The rooms were comfy and clean. The bed had two types of pillow - soft and firm, a nice touch. Relatively well priced for the long weekend. Staff were friendly, but could have been a bit more helpful. I had a throbbing headache the night of my stay, and was disappointed to find that staff couldn't get any panadol, and would not even if they could for giving headache pills put them at risk of liability. Well so was my headache. Meals were a bit too expensive. Overall comfortable bed and good for a nights sleep. October 9, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Arriving Exhausted In my 70's, hard day's work done, flight from the Gold Coast, (pilot on learners I'm sure) and into the welcoming arms of the staff at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport, what a relief!!! Up to a beautiful room, then down to Biggles Bar to unwind. I have been a Priority Club Member from the day they began and I certainly get my money's worth, Priority had a few teething problems but it is now well worth joining. Only wanted a light meal and as always the staff were only too happy to oblige. Thank you for another great stay and look forward to being with you again soon. Granny Smith September 26, 2012

I always enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport because of the friendly welcome, comfortable rooms, the room service, good restaurant and great breakfast. I also use the meeting rooms, which are ideal for our use, and we get looked after very well all day. Its always nice on arrival to be remembered and welcomed back, no doubt because of your efficient records. I appreciate that as well as the other levels of detail that make a stay more pleasant. Your regular shuttle bus to the airport is convenient as well. September 17, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The check in was quick and efficient. Ours was an overnight stay to meet a relative off a late arrival from the US. The room was very comfortable but needed an extra easy chair, considering this room was for 2 persons. The Room service was disappointing in that it arrived as a "take away" in a paper bag, with plastic cutlery and no plates. I understand that Management might feel the need to cut costs but, considering the price of the meal, I feel guests should be given proper metal cutlery to eat the meal and not have to eat it off the paper in which it was wrapped!
