The room was aged. As a platinium IHG member I expected the basic services to be good. House keeping did not make up my room one day and when I called to ask about it I was pretty much told. Bad luck!!!! House keeping have gone home. I requested additional linen so I can clean the room my self and they didn't give me a bed sheet even though I requested one. I requested a shaving kit and tooth brush to be placed in my room ever day, this was not done and I had too keep calling reception every morning to get one and wait, because of this I had to wake 30 minute early every day so I am not late getting to work. The bed was very hard and did not get a good nights sleep.

Great location near China Town, Paddys Markets and a easy walk to Darling Harbour and its Shops and Restaurants. Monorail station on the doorstep.
Hotel rooms have been refurbished in recent years and are fairly comfortable.

Although age is showing in this fine establishment, it does not lack for old style courteousness and friendly staff. This was paramount in enjoying the stay. Additionally, the locality is an absolute plus, situated adjacent to the Entertainment Centre and half a block to Chinatown. George Street is only 100 metres.

Great location easy walking distance to city,harbour and train station. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Room was spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable.Great selection for breakfast, and great atmosphere in the Jb bar. We felt very welcome and well looked after.

I have stayed there twice now. Both times it was a pleasant experience. The rooms are lovely and so were the staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. Great location and very easy to get to. Will stay there again.

We did not intend to stay over in Darling Harbour whey we visited Sydney for our 42st wedding annerversary but we were really pleased we did, the hotel was great and the staff were outstanding.
If we ever return it will be our first choice for accominadtion.

This was our 3rd stay at Darling Harbour Holiday Inn and we will choose it again in the future. The location is so close to so many places. Walking distance to most attractions and CBD. Also a good walk to Circular Quay with plenty to see on the way.
The hotel staff are excellent - each one we encountered was obliging, pleasant, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Meals in both restaurants are excellent.

I was expecting more from Holiday Inn this time. Every thing was below the average. You have to pay even for the internet and the rate was high as well. The breakfast is also expressive and the buffet is not that rich, such as , no cheese!!!
The room was good but looks too old and A/C was not cool. The toilet is so boring.
The staff are not helpful, I asked for a room service and took long time to be done.
The gym make you upset at the time that you want to relax and to refresh.
As a four star hotel, I was expecting more from Holiday Inn as I visited other Holiday Inn around the World but really this one was not a good experience for me.

Quite small but adequate nicely set out private room comfortable king bed facing large floor to ceiling window extremely friendly & efficent staff great location very convenient hotel when staying in Sydney... we choose this hotel for over night stays often always lives up to expectations

we did have a nice corner room but if you look around it needs a lot of work to make it a high quality.couch had marks ,bad chips on corners of the walls,and some work in the bath room.

We visited with 2 other couples recently and found the service was polite and efficient. The room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was fantastic quality and flavour. Top this off with a fantastic location. Will definitely visit again.

hotel is in a very good location. we arrrived early after a long international flight and was able to check in without any hassle. we appreciated this very much as our 5-year old was tired and hungry. staff was very courteous and accommodating. thank you!

Well, this one was a surreal experience. I normally join my brother, and we stay for a few days. Well, he had a problem several days after I booked, he broke his leg, and could not join me.When I arrived , I advised the desk that I needed to change my booking if possible. Not only did they help with that problem , they pointed out that I had booked for 3 days starting on a Saturday, but i arrived on Friday. Nothing was a problem, expertly and promptly sorted. I am glad I have been a Priority Member for some years.

Very friendly staff could not help me enough
Close to every thing in Darling Harbour.
There is a possibility I may be back .Same time next year.
And if any of my friends are looking for some where to stay in Sydney I would have no hesitation in recommend the Holiday Inn

We have stayed at this hotel many times & will be very happy to do so again. The service is excellent, efficient & friendly and staff are always eager to please, courteous & nothing is too much trouble.
We particularly appreciate those little extra touches, such as choice of pillows, bath robes & slippers & free magazines & papers.
The only negative we have found is the fee for using the in-room computer connection which seems a little excessive.
We are very much looking forward to our next stay at the Holiday Inn.

Really enjoyed our stay. Just had an issue with a "lost " parking ticket from our room but the staff, especially the concierge staff and management more than made up for our mishap. Good to know that they went beyond the call of duty to help us out. Rooms were clean and tidy, bathrooms were tidy (smelled a little of fresh paint). All in all pretty comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children on a budget. The best part is location and service. Special mention again to the concierge staff, management and food (breakfast) staff at Shipleys. A great time was had by all. Thanks Holiday Inn Darling Harbour!

I have stayed here on a number of occasions + have always had an enjoyable stay. I reckon the Hotel is in an ideal Location for everything in Sydney. The Staff are really helpful + know their business.

My daughter and I stayed in a family executive room for one night as we were to attend the Narnia exhibition . Great location, as it is close to the monorail and light rail. We were very pleased with the room and as my daughter is a severe asthmatic the non-smoking floor was wonderful. Breakfast was fantastic, we were both impressed by the choices available and the quality of the ingredients. The bread was a particular favorite. The majority of staff were friendly and helpful, the front desk staff were particularly welcoming. The room had everything we required although there were a few stains on the bed head, and the chewing gum in the drawer was an unwelcome surprise. Despite these minor issues I would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel if you are looking for reasonable price and great location.

As gold club members we were upgraded to a suite and found that roomy and well furnished. Had some trouble with the bar fridge but seemed to be the controls and wasn't a big deal in the end.
Had breakfast as part of the deal and as usual found the buffet well staffed and plenty of options for eating.
Was a problem with account at checkout relating to an expired credit card. I feel this could have been addressed during our stay instead of leaving to checkout as time was against us and I felt the need to hasten the transaction. It all was fine in the end though when I could properly chack it at home.

The Holiday Inn at Darling Harbour is located conveniently, and within walking distance of much of Sydney CDB area. The staff are helpful and friendly, and car parking is reasonably close by.
