The staff are very helful and accomodating. I tried making reservations through the national reservation # and they were going to overcharge me for a room. I called the front desk and they quickly reserved a room for me (they can't actually reserve the room, they told me there were rooms available that I wanted and could book me as a walk-in).
When I got there I wanted a room with a fridge, they upgraded me with no hesiation or charge.
GREAT experience!

The young lady that checked us in was so friendly and helpful. Although this is an older hotel, it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We have stayed here before and this time was much better than the last (2012). Will stay here again on our trip to Florida.

We spent three nights at the Tallahassee Holiday Inn to visit our 5 year old grandson. The staff was more than welcoming, very friendly, and knowledgeable of the area. Our grandson had a blast and we found our accomodations very nice and relaxing! Will definitely return in the future!

Whenever I have to go to Tallahassee, I stay at this property. The pricing and facilties are OK. The staff is great. However, it isThe Breakfast Team that makes me come back. They are extremely friendly, helpful and polite. I look forward to my breakfast before I even get there. Oh, and the food is good too!

We stayed there for just one night, our stay was just ok. The room that was given to us was not upto the mark. When we called up front desk, they changed our room. Staff was definitely good but the hotel is bit dated.

Hotel recently updated. Rooms adequately sized, clean, well serviced; VERY friendly staff. Hotel was very quiet even though it was very full.
The breakfast was outstanding, even though we got down just before they were closing.
Decided to write this because I was really apprehensive after reading some other reviews.
I should have taken our pillows--we are picky about pillows and that was the one complaint we had.

I love the Holiday Inn and have stayed at this one several times. No real complaints. Just that it's time for the rooms to get some remodeling done. The bathrooms are starting to be very stained from rust and just plain over use. Many of the fixtures are rusted and bent (I.e. the towel racks). The bathtubs are very noisy from the base probably wearing down. Shower head was rusty. Towels are obviously older since the are starting to turn somewhat yellowish. Some areas on the carpet are stained. Don't get me wrong, great place to stay but time has paid its toll. As mentioned, I've stayed here several times and have noticed the same in other rooms as well.

Our room was NOT cleaned during the two night stay. Towels were NOT replaced, beds not made, no one came in. We left early in the AM for college orientation and returned after dinner.
The first morning, there was no regular coffee left in either of the two complimentary coffee urns in the breakfast area. I had to go to the counter and let the one person on duty know and request coffee be refilled (approx. 8 AM). This took at least 20 minutes.
As a Gold Priority Club member, I requested a late check out for the morning of our departure which was no problem. However, when I went out at 7:30 AM to get coffee to bring back to my room, my room key had been deactivated. I had to wake my daughter up to get back into the room.
It was not a pleasant stay.

Had the misfortune of forgeting something in the room.It was a few days later and I was in another town when I realized I had done so. When I called to ask if the item was found, I was treated to the royal run around by the Assistant Manager who - it appeared - had conducted this circular run-a-round befor. When I asked for the Manager, the request was refused. When I asked for the name and phone number of the company who owned the hotel, the request was denied. All I was given was the phone number of Priority Club....who was no help at all.
I have been a Priority Club member for over 10 years, but sufice it to say, this is the very last time I will ever use the Priority Club or stay at a property represented by the Priority Club.

I was in town for a shopping trip. I chose this place because of the proximety to the mall. I was so pleased by everything at this hotel from the time I walked through to the door to check-out. The staff, the room, the "full breakfast" was as good as any 5 start hotel I have stayed in recently. I will return

Would rate this as my 2012 worst stay. Applebee's was awful, slow and the food sucked. Hotel staff all wore ball caps with their uniforms. Room was noisy. Bathroom wasn't clean.. Just a bad experience.

The new paint job is not fooling any one.

2 nights on a personal trip. Breakfast staff were very helpful and service oriented. In our room we wanted privacy and when we saw the Housekeeping staff in the hall, they asked if we needed anything and gave use extra towels and coffee. Very helpful.

As a Priority Club member, I stay at Holiday Inns all over the country and abroad as well. This stay was horrible - particularly at the price (it was an FSU home game weekend). The room was cramped and in desparate need of renovation. The bathroom had peeling wall paper and the caluking was missing sevral places in the shower. The noise level was ridiculous. Not only were there many loud guests out in the hallway at 1, 2, and 3 AM talking loudly and carrying on - but after notification - the desk cleark did nothing. Additionally, there was some type of machinery across the hall by the maid service room that was very loud and running all night. I got no sleep and would never use this hotel again.

While the staff was fantastic, this hotel is a little worn out, it shows. The carpet in the elevator was very dirty, every day of my stay. The room needs another outlet by the desk so you can work and hook up your computer. Lights were out in parking lot, some undesirable people walking around.

Service, staff and breakfast are excellent. Rooms are fine but are in need of some minor cosmetic upkeep-paint, baseboards need to be finished off better, wall paper in hallway is peeling off. Bath amenities are a nice touch with Bath and Body Works products. Overall a good night rest.

Well I was worried about this place to start with but the front desk staff was very nice and helpful so I thought maybe I dodged a bullet. No such luck, the room itself looked ok but the bathroom was beyond dirty. Hair in the bathtub around the sink and worst of all on the toilet. There was also a used strand of dental floss in the sink. This place is gross. Do not even think about staying here.

The check in was awkward for many reasons.
The hotel itself was not totally out of date and unclean, but was close.
The bathroom actually had black fuzzy spots above the shower.
I might recommend avoiding this one.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Tallahassee Capital Center a few times. The Staff is always courteous at check in. THe Breakfast is good and the Breakfast Team even better. I was asked several times if all was OK. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable.
This will be my go to hotel whenever I am visiting my daughter at FSU - Go Noles!

Older hotel. Poor elevator set up. Have to go down a set of steps to get to the elevator or go through the parking lot, ramp and then enter through the fire exit. A bit worn. Needs refreshing.
Connected to an Applebee's restaurant so you don't have to leave the hotel.
Bed was uncomfortable.
Not close to interstate, but close to capital and university. There are nicer hotels in town, but this suited my needs for the night.
