Had to book the pool however, when the kids asked if they could go in they were told to book even though it was relatively empty. Overall a nice hotel which suited and met our needs. August 28, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Home away from home Nice cosy place ideal for family stay especially if you care about what your kids are exposed to. Back access to the Wonderland, the town park and the shopping centre make it quite easy to enjoy a full couple of days out without leaving the vicinity of the hotel. Areas to look into would be marking out dedicated lots for families with kids within the car park as well as paying a bit more attention to cleanliness along the walk way through the back of the hotel. We arrived for a weekend holiday in this are expecting a lovely restful time, we booked a double room specified on the booking form as one double bed just what we wanted. We arrived in room 136 and found 2 double beds, and not wanting to make a fuss we tried to put up with it, after settling in and one night it just was not going to work for us and we had paid for 1 double bed I checked on our confirmation and email correspondence. so we spoke to reception who said sorry but we had not contacted the hotel to request a 1 double bed room so we had to accept what we had please check our reservation which confirmed our booking but as the very nice young lady said sorry but you have to accept what you have. I want to see the duty manager who eventually arrived and after a brief chat with her staff she asked us our problem and after some explanation that I had booked 1 double bed with the holiday inn web site she said if she can she would move us but would LET US KNOW if this were possible WHEN WE RETURNED from our day in Iron Bridge. Early afternoon we had an answer phone message to say they had moved us and to collect our new keys at reception. I can only say when we returned found all our belongings moved and placed in our new room including those very private parts of our lives we felt VIOLATED, and our pleasant time in Telford was at an end every time we returned to our room we expected more violation who else would be rooting through our underwear as they had when they moved us so I must say the hotel is very nice, comfortable, and some of the staff are outstanding but the manager lady we spoke to(won't use her name but we do have it if anyone is interested) and her customer service is very poor I wonder who gives her or the staff of Holiday inn the right to violate us the customer August 25, 2014
