The stay was great except for the semi truck parked in the front parking lot with the refrigerated unit running all night long. It kept me up all night every time the refrigerator unit fired up. If you are going to allow this type of vehicle to park at the hotel, then it needs to be somewhere where it can't be heard . I had a terrible nights sleep that night. The second night there was no truck and had a great nights sleep.
When I asked the front desk in the morning if they had any coffee in the lobby I was told that the PC members were offered free coffee at the desk of the restaurant. The waiter ? looked at me like I was stealing it without paying for it. I'm used to staying at the Express locations witch offer free breakfast. We had breakfast down the street.

I came to this property with expectations of a quality 5-day stay. What I got in my first 48 hours was nothing less than bad service and issue after issue. Not to mention that a booked reservation with a set rate was not kept and changed daily upwards. The GM and F&B Managers were sympathetic to my issues but overall did not offer to make it right and when approached about the rate change I was given due to the volume of business in the Boston area the rate fluctuated. Sorry but a rate booked should stay the same and new reservations should see the higher rates. I know that weekend rates change and I expect that but not the week rate to increase daily. I most likely will not return to this location.

Lady at the desk was very helpful at check in. She helped me find a place for a small trailer I was towing. She was helpful with travel tips to Boston as well. Had a nice quiet room and a decent breakfast. They even let me park my trailer for a few hours after I checked out.

I checked in late. The receptionist did not greet me as Priority Club, did not offer upgrade, snacks or water. The breakfast is subpar, I found much better quality and quantity on other Holiday In Express locations. The housekeeping is subpar too. The remodelation they sad they did made no difference than several years ago. I recommend the owner or manager check other properties and benchmark.

Food service personnel need to have more rigorous training on how to properly wait on customers. They tend to hang out, hold conversations, neglect customer needs during the breakfast buffet. Oten, the buffet line is unattended and runs out of many things. Seems the help is not concerned about that. Tables are often not wiped clean, coffee cups and utensils are dirty,. Some days, they are out of certain items on the buffet, and the pancakes and french toast get hard on the bottom when they sit in the steam table in the same position too long.
Some changes need to be made. You could compete with Longhorn restaurant nearby if you just classed things up a lot. They have their problems too, which also seems to be due primarily to lack of proper wait staff training, that you could exploit to bring in more business. This could be the Sunday Brunch go-to place (over the nearby Cracker Barrel), if you advertised down the hill on a sign by the road.

Our room was not ready upon the stated 3:00 PM. ready time. There were several other guests who were in the lobby with us, whose rooms weren't ready. Several days before my arrival, I answered an IHG email offer, and requested to be placed on the estandby room upgrade list. Upon arrival I was not considered for the room upgrade. I was essentially told that I was not going to be given any consideration for an upgraded room. The air conditioner was very loud. There were stains on the bedspread. The beds were sinking in the middle and very uncomfortable.

I had reservations and called saying It would be very late when I arrived due to weather conditions, No problem they said my room would be there waiting. I pulled in around 5:30am after one of the worst travels I have had in a very long time. The gentleman on the desk was so kind and helpful .. they had a full house and were booked again that coming night so they had their hands full but this gentleman got me all settled in and even tho check out was noon and I know they need time to clean the room for the guests coming in later he told me to get some good sleep and not to worry I could stay until 2pm.
Bless him ... I was so wiped out and once my little service dogs were settled in we slept never heard a thing waking up feeling refreshed and left by 2pm.
Thank you so much, I wish I had remembered his name but I am sure I will see him again, I just found a really comfortable, very nice and helpful management that unfortunately you don't find a lot anymore.

I had suite in1st floor close to main entrance.
Some of early mornings buses arrived to close to entrance and kept motors running, so noise to my room at 6 AM wasn't nice.
Also reminding that room 111/113 refridgerator was more or less freezer, even set to lowest power. Froze my beverages

Did not like the added fee ,When I made the reservations at the 800 # I was not told about it until after I reviewed my credit card account. Also It was not mentioned when I checked in at either this Holiday inn Or another one in Newington Conn two days later. I was glad to see it off my card quickly in both places Conn and Mass.within a couple of days. I just do not like surprises when it comes to money and my credit cards.. It's interesting that they do not enfoce it down shore VA NC Tenn where I stay at Holidays . Must be a northern thing.

I started off with a very lovely experience when I first walked in several days before me and 3 of my many colleagues from out of town were to spend the night. I made reservations for them in person and arranging a credit card auth so that each of them could check into their rooms in the event I was not there to do so. The front desk person was very kind and professional and even complimented me on being very organized, thank you. Its a shame this experience did not carry over for my actual stay. My colleagues had checked into their rooms and all was fine. I like to share the perk of earning points with those who work for me as they are entitled to them and I like to provide that as an incentive, not always do they take advantage of this and as to not let a room that has no IHG account attached to it and let those points go to waste, I had inquired with the night auditor who was on site if anyone had done so. He put no effort into helping me instead he yelled at me and told me that if anyone smoked in the rooms that he would charge me $250 per room in the even that he smelled smoke as he delivered the invoices to the rooms. I stopped him in his tracks and told him " Your demeanor towards me is totally unprofessional and inappropriate and I am very insulted. Somehow my profile defaults to smoking room preference but upon booking I clearly see what type of rooms are available and am completely aware that about 90% of IHG properties are non smoking so for him to just go off on me in such a way was very unpleasant and discouraging. When I made the initial booking with the lovely lady who helped me with that I had asked for the sales managers card and left mine as well to see about establishing a rate for my company as we do much work in the greater Boston all throughout the year. Well thanks to the rude, unprofessional, and brutally offensive attention I received from the night auditor that night, I am no longer taking this hotel into consideration. 4-6 rooms every quarter lost, nice going!

The staff was excellent made you feel like you were at home. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Nice dining room great breakfast at a reasonable price. Cute Bar small but nice.
This is my second year in a row staying here and have never had a problem..

this hotel by far, is one of our top overnight stops! We find it quiet, clean and comfortable. A weekend rate came up under 80 and we booked even though it was a bit farther from where we were destined for the weekend. We were delivered the extra pillows we wanted and towels too. They are a generous size and cozy to the touch. The type of get away feel you want but without that posh price! Awkward moment: the cleaning or maintenance guy followed us to the elevator and when on the elevator stood facing us when we checked out well before the 12noon posting of check out time. Seemed like a security check out. Still will book a night away at this great spot with easy on and off highway access and plenty to get to all around the Boston and beyond area. Always feels like we truly got away even though its not too far from our backyard.

The concierge was not the most pleasant or informative upon my arrival. Grand Lobby perfect for events wonderful décor and Baby Grand Wurlitzer. Dining area looks restaurant like which is very impressive. Breakfast is not included in rate, quite frankly I had stayed in a cheaper hotel the night before and included breakfast not to mention better room accommodation's where I was in a upgraded suite still for a lower price base in a higher traffic area closer to airport. I would be willing to pay for a breakfast if it is "a la carte" but the breakfast offered was no different or higher quality than a motel bed and breakfast offering. Now to the rooms, the box springs and mattresses are old and need replace. Cloth on box spring is hanging and showing signs of fatigue. Mattress was also old and stressed, very little back support. Décor in room is very dated and needs some work. Bathroom was the highest point of the room. Lastly I did not get any recognition for being a IHG member.

I stayed at this location for the first time last week. Now I have to admit, it was during quite a snowstorm. I'm sure a number of people decided to get off the highway that was almost bumper to bumper at slow speeds due to the storm.
My first impression was attempting to check in. There were two overwhelmed woman attempting to check people in while handling the phones with more reservations. It seemed that answering the phone took priority over the person in front of them (me).
Once I did get checked in my room was very nice.
We decided to stay at the hotel and have dinner in their restaurant VS. going back out in the storm.
We could not get waited on in the lounge. The one bartender was overwhelmed and another customer told me don't even try to get a drink.
We then went to the dining room. The same issues occurred. The staff was well understaffed for the amount of customers.
After a long wait we were seated and finally waited on. The waitress was pleasant and attempted to give us her best service. The Hotel beverage manager was running around in a tailspin. We then learned that there was only one cook. Then we saw the waiter having to run for room service. The steak dinner was tough and I only at a small bit of it.
We paid out bill and left. I can't believe that this big of a hotel would be so understaffed knowing full well that there was a winter storm in the area. Now I know why I never eat in a holiday Inn hotel restaurant.
I might try the hotel again , but only in summer weather.

Was booking for a business trip, short notice. This was a great deal and I found it to be a great hotel with just a really nice staff. From check in to check out the entire stay was just great. I will definitely make this my first choice when in that area of my market for business.

We arrived at 1:30 AM after a long (23 hour) day of driving. The staff was very helpful and got us checked in quickly. We stayed on IHG Points and there was no hassle, plus points earned, too.
I have several hotel chain Reward Programs and have determined that IHG is the best value-I earn points faster, and those points get me into free rooms at lower point levels than the competition. In addition, there is almost no place where you cannot find a HI property.
We skipped the hotel restaurant and ate at the Cracker Barrel across the street.
One suggestion-keep the rooms warmer. At zero-dark-thirty the last thing we wanted to do was raise the heat in the room from a chilly 63 to 70....
