Easy on and off access to freeways and this hotel has all the amenities one would need for a very comfortable stay. We travel a lot and I have to say that we have had our favorite locations throughout the years but it's always the hotels/staff that make the trip memorable....Tinley Park Holiday Inn was Exactly one of those hotels that felt so comfortable and inviting from the minute we walked in the front door! The lobby is so beautifully decorated but it's always that "moment" when you approach the check-in desk that lets you know just how the trip will probably go...and from the smiles we received upon check-in to our wonderful waitress, Janet in the Bananas restaurant our stay at Tinley Park was like going to stay with a favorite Aunt! Saturday morning our daughter and her friend were in a hurry to get going to the Warp Tour early in the morning...but we wanted them to try and have a nice breakfast first. Janet made sure that the cook staff had breakfast whipped up in a "flash" and before we knew it we were on our way to the ampitheatre! The girls were thrilled to get there early and because they did...were able to receive "signing" passes to meet their favorite bands. Janet then waited on my husband and I after we returned to take in a more leisurely breakfast. She is such a sweet person and had many great suggestions on what two parents unaccustomed to being childless for a day could do to sightsee. The room was so beautiful as well...with the granite countertops and comfortable beds! The housekeeping staff does such a great job keeping the rooms so wonderfully clean. We always leave a note of thanks to let them know we appreciate all of the hard work they put in day in and day out. I read previous reviews on this hotel before booking and I have to say that some of those that were negative had me worried but like all things I believe people just want or look for different things in a hotel or have expectations that maybe no one could really meet. Like I said, we travel....A LOT and we have stayed in absolute nightmare hotels so we do know when it is a good stay, a mediocre stay or a GREAT STAY....and Tinley Park is a FANTASTIC STAY!! Thank you Tinley Park Holiday Inn Staff for making us feel like family come home for a visit. We would definitely come and stay again...Blessings! July 23, 2014

From check-in to checkout everything went well. All the mployees I encountered were friendly and eager to serve. The food for our Friday night event was very good. I do travel frequently and will definitely use this hotel again!! July 17, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service The actual hotel is decent and in a very good location, I only have minor complaints about the actual hotel. The bathroom door kept getting stuck and we really had to pull hard on it to open it but they put us in another room. Went to the next room and found a towel neatly folded with rest of the clean towels in the bathroom that had someone's makeup foundation on it, very disgusting. My real problem came when I was leaving. I was charged for the room when I previously booked it. Upon check out, I noticed that they charged me again when I checked in. I let the woman at the front desk know and she acknowledged the mistake and asked for my banks fax number so they can take care of it. I called back 30 minutes later to see if she'd taken care of it and she told me that she did and that she'd also call my bank to make sure they got the fax. The next day, I see that the charge was still there so I called the Holiday inn to find out the progress. They tried telling me not to worry because the money hadn't been taken out. I let them know that it was actually taken out and they wanted me to bring in a bank statement to prove it. As I was telling them that on top of the major inconvenience they've already caused, now u want me to prove to you that you messed up, they found the notes about my situation. The girl on the phone tells me that they faxed my bank and it should be cleared up by weeks end. I asked to speak to a manager to see what they were going to about this major inconvenience and all I can get was a voicemail. I left a message and still haven't heard from anyone. On top of all this, I went to my bank and they told me that they never received a fax from the hotel. Now I have to file a dispute through my bank and wait for that process to play out. I really can't explain how upset I am because of this, very poor customer service July 11, 2014
