We have stayed at this hotel many times and have always been satisfied with the quality of the facilities, the friendliness of the staff, the proximity to a variety of restaurants (we are not fans of Perkins), and the overall value for the cost.
Recs: glasses instead of plastic, and cups instead of paper glasses. Ice on first floor.

The staff at the Holiday Inn were just fantastic. I stay at many hotels in Ontario and Canada and the staff from the front desk to the cleaniing staff were truly amazing. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is is of great value

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sparky23 Good room, terrible shuttle service and staff assistance
The room was exactly what I expected given that I often stay at holiday inns during business travel. This was the first time I used the park and shuttle service and stayed at this hotel and I will not be doing it again. The shuttle was not even close to being on time based on the schedule provided by the staff. When I called the hotel to get clarification regarding the times and location of the shuttle pickup the woman hung up on me. During my wait for the shuttle I saw the competitors shuttles come by twice each, making me regret the choice to go with holiday inn further.
I stay at the priority club brand hotels 25-30 days/year mostly for business (I spend 90-100 nights a year in hotels for business). This trip was for leisure travel and I chose this hotel due to the consistently good experience I have had with this brand in my business travels. It's a shame that the staff don't value my personal travel business as much as my business travel, another brand will be getting my personal business on my next leisure trip.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by wildastro good value and solid as airport hotels go
We were just staying overnight (late check-in) for an early-morning flight from Toronto Pearson to LAX (we live 110 km from the airport) but found this hotel to be slightly-above-average for its price and relatively quiet. Room was tasteful and decently maintained and wake-up-call/check-out/airport shuttle went smoothly. We would book again next time we grab a hotel before an early flight.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Victoria49 Not the same as other Holiday Inns
We have stayed in several Holiday Inns & this one we would not come back to...
The bathrooms were smallest of any Holiday Inns we have stayed at, let alone any other Hotel...
No bar fridge or microwave in this HI...as there is in other Holiday Inns we have stayed at.....
Yes, there is a restaurant....but one of the reasons we stay at a HI is because of the great free breakfast they offer...
It is very nice to have a restaurant available for 3 meals..but I would suggest a breakfast chit for those staying at the Hotel...$10.00/ person ....anything above that, the customer would pay...
One of the night staff..did not make us feel welcome...did not receive a small being a Priority Member & not address by my name...& she did seem, she did not want to be there....

To be charged $28.00 a day for parking is criminal. Half the time you cannot find a spot. Not even a mention of Platinum status.
Stay at the Holiday Inn up the road, room was $5 more parking free for Platinum members. Nicer hotel actually staff at the front desk.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rafiki325 Great service and very helpful
We stayed at the Holiday Inn before and after our trip south. The front desk was very helpful with 'park and stay' suggestions for before and after. Those suggestions saved us money in the long run. The accommodations were great and very comfortable. Accessible to many food outlets.

Stayed here twice during the past six weeks. My wife has a history of back surgery and she found the bed most comfortable on both occasions. Next door to the Park N''Fly is a real asset for long term parking.. Staff were very accommodating in giving us a room close to the main lobby because of my wife's condition.

This hotel has been completely renovated. What a difference from my last stay here. Everything in the rooms is new. Large 37" HDTV was great. Nothing can beat the Breakfast at Perkins restaurant. The restaurant is very busy with outside guests. The lobby looks great and really appreciate the free airport shuttle.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by marq7 SERVICE To be improved
I had a bad experience with the personnel and services.
When I called from a remote location the hotel front desk for help in order to get a taxi, I was told they can not help me to call a taxi on my behalf neither they gave me a taxi phone number to call. After many arguments and three calls the personnel at the front desk finally agreed to call one taxi for me. While I was waiting for this taxi, just next door from the Pearson int'l airport terminal 3 where there are several taxis waiting in line, after 20 min. waiting without any taxi at the door, I had to walk outside in the winter to the terminal without any winter coat on me.
Once arrived at the hotel, the two ladies who refused to help me had nothing to say to mitigate the situation. I had to call the manager to explain her the situation where she understood this service was not acceptable. Nevertheless I was not offered any compensation for this bad service.
In regards with room condition, I can say the heater fan was noisy that woke us up all night long.
In regards with the remaining room condition that was OK but no more, eventhough the bathroom was so small that once into it we could not close the door. So that became pretty friendly.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Vic93 Would find somewhere else to stay
I was not impressed by this hotel. The check-in line was long although there were three people behind the desk, only one was checking individuals in. When I had booked my room, there were not king beds available so had a queen but I noticed that others were able to upgrade to a king room who were behind me in line. During the check-in process, my visa card was not returned. I did not realize this until I went to pay for another item a few hours later. I returned to the desk and the individual at the desk stated it was not returned since I left the desk before she had completed the check-in process. This was not the case - I left when she was finished with me, I even asked about where I could park before she called the next client to begin their check in process. They should have taken responsiblity for the error. The room was fine, although it might have been recently updated, there were marks, dents, damage to the walls that looked like had just been wallpapered over. It was not mentioned that I was a priority club member or informed of the services available at the hotel as a result.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lucie Adequate
It took quite a while to get checked in as there was only one person on the desk (9 p.m.) and the staff member was constantly interrupted by the phone ringing and he answered it each time. The room was adequate for a one night stay. I did find that the shuttle to the airport was quite quick and was on time however the shuttle returning was a long wait - almost an hour - which was frustrating as it was very cold and we watched the shuttle from the 970 Dixon Road location circle twice in this time frame and each time that driver would say 'he's right behind me'. Apparently, he was a long way behind him!! The other negative was that the hallway going to our room had a strong tobacco smoke odor however it was not noticeable in the room.
Biggest plus was that the cost was about the same as the Park N Fly and we didn't have to drive in the same day for an early flight.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ShawneeKS Beware of the Smoke Detectors
Power outage, was told not the hotel's fault, around 3am. Smoke detector began to "LOUDLY" chirp. Pulled the battery at 3:30am. Tried to sleep, just fell asleep around 4:30am, power restored and smoke detector began to chirp again, no battery. Tried to reinsert, decided to just get up and shower. Front desk really could have cared less about my experience.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MizAstley Time before late flight
My daughter was travelling to Australia on a 6:00 p.m. Flight. We live in Collingwood and I don't drive so we went down to Toronto the day before to get some last minute Mum-Daughter time. Our room was clean and bright with good amenities and spacious bathroom. We enjoyed the well-priced room service menu for dinner and breakfast the following morning. The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed assistance.
I would definitely stay at this Holiday Inn again. There are two on this particular road and this one is not as prominent as the other, however I liked it better probably because it had less of the 'party' minded guest and more of the 'business'/overnight type guest.

After waiting out side airport terminal for 35 mins and seeing all the other hotel shuttles pass by decided to jump in a cab. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed of the change of services from every 15 min to every 40min.. No sorry for the inconvenience or anything. Terrible customer service.

The description on the website promises a memorable experience:
"our newly renovated guest rooms with warm décor and modern furnishings – you’ll see and experience the difference at the new Holiday Inn Toronto Airport East from the moment you arrive"
Really ? I checked in to find an airconditioning unit that was so noisy it could be heard down the hall, reception said there were no other rooms, eventually they found me a small cupboard, that definitley had not been renovated. dirty, smelly & old.
The attached restaurant is also pretty poor, slow service from disinterested staff & mediocre food.
The food was so poor, I took my chance at the local Tim Hortons for breakfast the next day.
Much sympathy from the check-out staff , but precious little else.
Would I stay here again ?
No Thanks

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Robstg Pleasant experience:
As with all my stays at any Holiday Inn, the staff were courteous and friendly. The room was quite nice (King Standard). But, as others have remarked, the climate control leaves you wanting. I first notice the overly warm hallway as I stepped out of the elevator (4th floor). The room was almost as hot when I opened the door for the first time. I immediately turned on the thermostat and lowered the temperature to 20 C. In my two night stay, the temperature never really lowered. This made my stay a little uncomfortable, but not enough to complain to the front desk. Next time, I will request a "colder" room. Perhaps not on the 4th floor?

Everything about the hotel was acceptable except the climate control in the room. Staff were excellent, especially the reception staff. Restaurant was comfortable and the rooms spacious. However, the climate inside the room was stiflingly hot and dry and we could not adjust the heat which left us terribly tired and dried out the next morning.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hmhm a few disappointments
The location of the hotel was convenient, and the price was right.
However, we did have some disappointments:
• Bathroom door was hanging a bit crooked or something, so you really had to slam it to make it close. Especially not good in the middle of the night.
• Room was hot, thermostat didn’t seem to help this, fan was quite noisy. None of us slept particularly well.
• Didn’t get our wake-up call. Good thing we woke up in time!
What we were pleased and thankful for was the shuttle driver who returned me to the airport to claim a knapsack I had forgotten to pick up when the shuttle arrived. :)
