Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Value for money for night stay There could be more facilities and personal attention. June 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GAM22 Very friendly staff. I would wish they had queen size beds instead of double beds. June 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good pro's : location, cleanless of room and cummon areas, size of the room (i got an upgraded as a priority rewards card holder i don't know how the regular rooms are though), variety of breakfast. con's: during the night something very noisy ( i couldn't understand what it was) was starting to work and it intermittently goes all night long; breakfast hours during the week (only until 9,30am, i would have prefferred at least until 10am ); pillows too high June 12, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Long time guest I have stayed in this property when in Toronto since it was built. I have come to know a number of the staff members and feel like I am returning to visit friends when I come here. However the inadequacy of the on site parking and the lack of fitness facilities (rather the management's failure to address either of these long standing shortcomings) may drive me to find a new home away from home in Toronto. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No Frills, but good service and location. This hotel is a place to get some good sleep in a good location. I recommend this for business people who are there just to get some rest. The people at the front counter are very friendly and the parking system where you have access to exit and enter without extra payment is a bonus in Toronto. June 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and excellent staff. Overall, our stay was pleasant and the room comfortable. We had a fairly attractive view from our window. There is no fridge in the room and no swimming pool or gym. The hotel employees were wonderful. There was a consistently high standard of service and friendliness among the staff. The small courtyard was handy for pick-up and drop-off. If you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of Philip the raccoon at dusk, as he goes about his evening business. The lobby was quite small for a such a large hotel; seating is limited. The breakfast selection was very good. However, there was one set of tongs for both the omelets and sausages. This is obviously a problem for vegetarians and anyone with dietary restrictions. There are self-service laundry facilities which we made use of and found to be perfect for our needs. The weather was very hot and humid during our stay - we had the air conditioner on for the duration and it kept the room cool and comfortable. There are some excellent restaurants within walking distance, including Bombay Palace and Golden Thai. June 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous. June 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Well located, nice staff As usual, a nice experience. Stayed a night for business and the hotel has everything you need for a confortable night. June 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Memorial Day Visit Location is great for this hotel. Walkable to Hockey Hall of Fame, Rogers Centre, Air Canada Centre, and St Lawrence Market. Really had a great time. There was no refrigerator in my room, so I was disappointed about that, and also didn't realize there wasn't a pool on site, which my kid would have liked. Also, as a priorities award member, having a complimentary bottle of water on top of the toilet is not exactly why idea of a perk. May 31, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Stay and Great Service The staff were very welcoming, and made sure that we knew our way around the city. Everything was clean and ready for us to use when we arrived, and the staff told us to call them anytime we needed anything. They made our stay more personal by asking us how our event was and asked if we liked our stay, and if there was anything they cold do to make it better. The location was in a great part of the city and there was no extra noise while in our room. The food in the morning was excellent and I loved the variety. I recommend this hotel to anyone, especially this location. May 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent customer service We recently travelled to Toronto for a medical appointment and certainly enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. Staff go above and beyond to answer questions, suggest places to visit and arrange taxi rides. All were friendly and knowledgable. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We recommend a stay! May 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Very good experience. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, just like a hotel staff is supposed to be, which seems to be lacking sometimes these days. May 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome location. Close to St. Michaels Health Centre. Walking Distance I had to stay downtown Toronto for an appointment at St. Michael's Health Centre. I am not really familiar with the Toronto area. It was really easy to get there and walking distance to the hospital. Overall, good hotel:) May 26, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value The hotel was a good value as it was only a short walk to the Lake Ontario water front and the subway station. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good, typical of all Holiday Inn Express hotels. The only downsides were that the hotel was right across from a Salvation Army shelter and that the pipes creeked. May 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Services A very friendly staff at check in, house keeping and breakfast area. Suitable underground parking. May 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location I always stay at this hotel because of the service I get and the location not to mention the price. May 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comment It would be a good thing if coffee and tea could be available outside the hous when the (excellent) breakfast service is available While there is a coffee/tea maker in the room, only two cups is a bit on the short side. May 19, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Time for a refurb Hotel is nicely located, staff was very attentive, and hotel was clean. It is time to throw away all the furniture and start over. The desk in the room would have been at home in a garage sale. May 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly environment and clean! We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the clean environment. The breakfast was good and gave a lot of variety for those who do not have food restrictions. it would be great if some gluten free starch options were available other than rice krispies . It would be helpful if the meat and egg offering would indicate if they contain gluten. Overall it is a very good place to stay and is good value. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to come again! May 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Service and excellent location Service is very good and its a nice location right at the center of downtown Toronto. The staff at the front office Mr.Ravish was good and was quite helpful. Overall it was a good stay, but the hotel can improve in the following areas: 1) Complementary internet in the rooms- the connectivity was not good and kept disconnecting when I was making overseas calls through skype (it was not a problem with skype). 2) There are no microwave in the room for me to heat my own food May 17, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean hotel, noisey guests. The adjoining room was full of yahoo's, not the hotels problem really... the main issue was that my wake up call fro 5:15 was never sent... good thing I do a backup on my phone, otherwise my trip would have been a waste. May 17, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible hotel in an otherwise great chain The room smelled musty and like cigarettes, toilet ran all night and breakfast "room" is slightly larger than a walk in closet. Abysmal property. May 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DOWNTOWN TORONTO FOR BASEBALL My niece and I just came back from a 2 night stay at this Holiday Inn. We chose it because we thought that it would be a good location for getting to BLUE JAYS games at the ROGERS CENTER. Was it ever!! A 2 minute walk to King Street, a short trolley ride, and a 3 minute walk down BLUE JAY WAY and, voila, you're there. The staff was very helpful. patiently answering all of our questions, and the breakfast buffet was GREAT!! We'll stay there again the next time that we come to see the RED SOX beat the BLUE JAYS. May 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and great room We stayed here while attending a wedding at St Lawrence Hall. The hotel was in a great location, just a block away and was a great choice. Reasonable priced for downtown Toronto and an excellent value. The room was very clean and comfortable, great decor. The breakfast had great variety and was kept well stocked by the staff. April 30, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beds are very bad. No availability for the underground parking. Beds are very bed. No availability for the underground parking. Very expensive for what it offers. I had reserved 2 rooms - 1 with 2 queen beds and the other with a queen bed. Both rooms had terrible beds and in addition, i was given a room with 2 double beds instead of queen beds. April 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express Downtown Toronto this hotel was a great value! Centrally located to everything, and in walking distance to just about everything. The staff were very courteous and helpful, and the breakfast every morning was great! Rooms were very nice and comfortable. April 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by clean, comfortable and helpful beds very comfortable, the staff are very knowledgeable of the area and were helpful with maps and restaurants etc April 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay It was very peaceful on the 11th floor. Breakfast is beyond what is normally available at a Holiday Inn Express. Staff was exceptional as always. April 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Central & pleasant location we stayed one night & found the staff to be helpful, the room clean, & the location to be great. The restaurant recommendations were excellent. A nice place to stay April 14, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent place-affordable price The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. The room was clean, parking was available and the complimentary breakfast makes it a great deal. I was initially disappointed that the hotel didn't have a restaurant but found many options very close by. During our stay a light bulb was burnt out in the room and upon contacting the front desk, maintenance was sent up and it was resolved within 4 minutes. April 14, 2013
