Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel - a little disappointed this time I have stayed here countless times for many years. Always a warm welcome as the staff knows who I am. I've reviewed this hotel many times and have always been happy staying here, it's like coming home. Tuesday night Happy Hour was FABULOUS. The staff treated me incredibly well, they are wonderful - I'm very grateful for the special attention that I received. Balance of stay - This time there were a couple of little disappointments. I arrived very early for check in, however was not in a rush for my room. I was not a Platinum member I would have expected that. The 2 people before me (club members - not sure if Platinum# also had to wait for their rooms, and were given a breakfast coupon. I was not. I did go to restaurant for coffee #which I paid for# and to work a little, waiter remembers me, very warm welcome. Finally, no express check out ?! An associate who was travelling at same time and stayed on same floor #regular club member - not even gold), had same type of room as I did and he got an express check out. He is Platinum elsewhere and was shocked that I was treated as I was...platinum members invest enough in their group of choice and should not even have to ask for upgrades etc. Above was disappointing, however I will likely stay again unless this continues. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4 Perfect Days I had business at thr nearby Toronto International Centre so the hotel's location was ideal. My wife and I had stayed here many times before for air travel purposes so we knew in advance what was in store for us, meaning a great staff, a quiet , comfortable room and great food at reasonable prices. We were not disappointed. The shuttle service is always on schedule and you'll arrive at the airport in just a few minutes. We'll be back again for sure!. November 6, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable price but very dated rooms We stayed in the hotel for a few nights before our move back to the UK. The staff are very friendly and professional, the food in the restaurant is ok but we had the same selection of food at the morning buffet everyday. I can't speak about all the rooms but we stayed on the 8th floor and it seems the decor and furniture is the same as when they first opened this hotel so the rooms and bathrooms are in need of a serious update. Overall I tend to stay in many Holiday Inn's so I would book this hotel again. October 31, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Property getting tired I have been staying here 1-2 times a year for the past six years and it is getting tired. Furniture is worn-looking and chipped and overall state of the bathroom is similar. What I was particularly taken aback with was the change in the cost of the food in the hotel restaurant, particularly with the entrees and breakfast. Even if I stay here in the future (doubtful), I will look elsewhere to enjoy a meal. Minor point but if I am going to pay those kind of prices, I expect a linen rather than paper napkin. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Looking elsewhere for the next trip The quality of my stays at this property have been steadily declining over the years. This trip has put me over the edge to find a new hotel for the Toronto Airport area. The parking lot gate hasn't worked for my last three stays. I can surely look forward to a long exit line to start my morning. The most recent trip included a long check in experience after a very late flight. What happened to room and keys prepared for IHG members? The final straw was an unusable WIFI signal in my room. I'm sorry, but I find it unacceptable to have to stand in the hallway to use my laptop. And front desk attitude when I ask to change to a room where I can actually use WIFI is the icing on the cake. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a serious business hotel How can a hotel be serious about business travelers but only provide <1Mbps wifi speed? I stayed on the 9th floor with a strong WiFi signal - my connection was not the issue. To double-check I even performed numerous speedchecks from the 9th floor to the lobby... the readings were all the same <1Mbps. They just don't have adequate bandwidth for the hotel. I talked to the lady at the front desk who provided a different password to try but it didn't make any difference. This is an average Holiday Inn for all other metrics - but the lack of WiFi and lack of professionalism to fix the issue makes this a poor hotel. I will not stay here again - plenty of other options nearby. October 27, 2014

The only issue was that I had to hold the flush lever on the toilet down until the bowl nearly emptied otherwise it wouldn't flush properly. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bottom Line affects Customer Satisfaction I have stayed at many Holiday Inn's and this particular hotel many times. It is really sad to see it going down hill, staff greeting upon check in was like an imposition to their day. Placed on third floor with teams so it was noisy and halls littered with clothes, pizza boxes etc... But these petty concerns pale in comparison to the room. No Kleenex, box was empty the bathroom door had a spill down it that had not been addressed and WORST of all; one of the two beds was made but NOT CHANGED, when I pulled down the sheets ( the first night) to get in at bed time the bottom sheet had a (human fluid) stain, so I checked next sheet thinking stain not removed in laundry, NOPE next sheet also and duvet- NO CHANCE that all three had been laundered and all put back on same bed in same order! SO GROSS. Now the MOD was very gracious in talking to me and having the immediate situation resolved for me along with housekeeping, BUT, I am concerned at how many times a bed is just made and a room not overhauled from one guest to another!!! The morale of the staff at this hotel seemed so low in comparison to previous visits, and the splendor of a once awesome hotel has dulled both in appearance and therefore in staff initiative. Just not happy and so grossed out, will not choose this hotel again. October 23, 2014

I stayed in the hotel to both relax and get work done and the atmosphere allotted for both. The quest service agents were extremely helpful and the food in the restaurant was tasty. The hotel is extremely close to the airport and provided complimentary service to and from which was convenient. I would definitely stay at the hotel again and recommend it to others.
