After a few disappointing stays at various Holiday Inns, we decided to give them another try. .... and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very helpful, the room was very comfortable (recently renovated) and the food was quite good.

Thank you for the wonder stay at your hotel. Everything was saticfactory. My wife and I enjoyed the accomadations (pool, meals ect.).

My Family and I enjoyed our stay at Holiday INN Yorkdale, in Toronto, Canada. the staff were professional and responded on spot for everything we requested.
I would recommend to the Hotel Management to add Refrigerator and Microwave to each room. The reason is that I have been to many Toronto Hotels and most of them have Refrigerators and Microwaves in their rooms. Yorkdale,needs to catch up with them.
I recommend this hotel to any one with or without family.

walked up to the counter about my reservations and from that moment i received the worst service i have ever had and i have stayed in this hotel in past more then 10 times i believe there has been some changes in employees not sure if the training was bad or i just got a bad Representative that day . In the past i have never had any issues with this hotel but after that night it left a very bad impression on me and my guest.

I don't often stay in hotels, I'm certain that became quite obvious when I went to check in between 12:00pm and 1:00pm. Check-in isn't until 3, which is something I did not know. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the girl at the front desk, but she checked anyways to see if rooms had been cleaned and one had and we were checked into that room, which was amazing. She made the whole trip incredible.
Now for the part that made it not perfect... I had requested an extra key and left the name of one of the Guests that were with me on this adventure to Fan Expo 2013, I was told it wasn't an issue that it be left at the counter as long as she had photo ID to retrieve it. Not a problem as she was driving up. When she went to retrieve the key she was told there were no notes, now keep in mind she had all information including the room number. My friends and I were forced to leave the convention at this point to go from Union to Yorkdale to see where the mis-communication had occurred. When we got back to the hotel I had gone to the front counter and was told that the notes were infact on the room and she was apologetic for the incident occurring. Not a huge deal, but it did put a damper on the festivities Friday.

I had never stayed at this location but liked the thought of its proximity to Yorkdale since the purpose of our trip was back to school shopping. We were surprised with the comfort and quietness. We enjoyed one night in the cafe where we enjoyed burgers and drinks. Staff is very nice and eager to please. Will definitely be back at this location where you can enjoy the pool, pink pong, tennis, billiards, gym, etc.!

NIce hotel overall. The pool and whirlpool are very nice, the atrium is very pretty. The restaurant was a disappointment. I usually drink soda with my meals and just about every restaurant offers free refills. For the first time in a long time my refills were not included. The food was good but pricy.
Yorkdale Mall is across the street which is very convenient, I don't get the parking though. $9.00? Really? Can't you just build the parking fee into the bill so it doesn't stand out? We're not in town.

The room was great, clean and nicely appointed. The breakfast spread was awesome but the bar had a limited selection beverages of the adult nature. I was amazed that there was a nine dollar parking fee at this property. I was also amazed that as a Platinum member I had to pay to park! You literally drive through a car deal ships parking lot to get to the hotel and they charge you to park. Please, just raise your rate the nine dollars. If I am going to pay to park I will stay downtown.
The staff was excellent, I must say.

I had three children with me, the meal vouchers and the kids eat free allowed me to be able to relax and enjoy. I relaxed with a glass of wine while kids played Nerf Tennis and my daughter played in the kids room.
Pool was nice, not too cold and clean.
I didn't have coffee in my room, but as soon as I made the call, it arrived in minutes.

I was really pleased with our recent stay. Customer service was excellent, all questions answered, adjoining rooms for us to relax after working all day. Great location, easy to find. Only disappointment was that the whirlpool tub was out of service for our stay with no idea of when it would re open.

I booked on the Executive Level hoping for a decent room, but I was gravely disappointed in the quality and decor of the room, really no different from the regular room.
There is construction going on right at the ramp off Dufferin which is practically inside the room, which made it impossible to sleep, all night, until 6am.
I forgot a sweater in the room, and, of course, the "lost and found" did not have it.
Not a good experience ...

The room was nice, although the bathroom was really small even though we were in a King Room. Also, the front desk was disorganized and not overly helpful with check-in's, out's, or packages. We were the first people in line at 2:50pm (I realize that check in is not until 3), but we were told that they had no rooms available yet, and that they couldn't start checking us in or give us our package tickets and that we should take a seat. By then there was a few people behind us also wanting to check in. They were told similar things, eventually they started checking people in... us last and then offered to send our package tickets to the room. Finally after over a half hour, we were on our way to our room to wait for our tickets.

Conveniently located just off the 401, and definitely worth the cost with an indoor pool, play area for kids, and workout area. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and complimentary with our package, as well as kids eating free. Staff went above and beyond when mailing our child's forgotten pillow pet back to us!

We booked for two nights and reserved TWO rooms and on the second day, while we were out for lunch the hotel had us as a late check out. The front desk manager accommodated us by placing us in the West tower with an upgraded room. It was an inconvenience to repack and move to another tower, but at least we didn't have to find another hotel to stay at. The upgraded rooms were not much different then the ones we already were staying in. One had a fridge and the other didn't, but they were the same type rooms? Anyway, all went okay.

This establishment has dedicated floor for Flight Safety clients, or so I thought. I was there for recurrent training, and as such need to get decent sleep. When several hundred college-frat type students showed up for some music festival, they turned the entire hotel into their party. Empty beer cans all over the halls, in the elevators, spilled drinks and who knows what else on the stairs. The hotel was so kind as to put them on the same floor as me (and every other floor as well) where they played their music, ran up and down the hall yelling drunkenly, and pounded on my door every 10 minutes all night. Not a great experience. I would have expected the hotel managers to have them keep quiet, or kick them out, or do anything really.

We were in an older room. Liked the toiletries. Young people next door were very loud and obnoxious at midnight, so I called the front desk and they promptly sent security. Front desk and dining staff were not exactly friendly and helpful. Parking lot key thing upon leaving was not clearly explained. My children and I had breakfast there. They were free - very considerate. Adult buffet was $20, but no one bothered to explain an adult could choose the cold buffet options for a cheaper cost. I was only asked by the waitress what kind of buffet I was having AFTER I took a couple strips of bacon with my fruit and pastries, so I had no choice. Pool was nice temperature. Little weird having it in the atrium with restaurants - I can imagine it would get very loud if there were some noisy swimmers playing around. Price was a little high I thought. Easy access to Yorkdale and the subway.

Although your staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel experienced a power outage and instead of being offered a discount upon check out we were met with a less than sympathetic attitude from the front desk staff that morning. A small discount was granted eventually upon our request. I expected more quite frankly due to the fact that hotels downtown WITH power were granting discounted rates that night to stranded commuters.

My experience starting at check in when I asked the lady at the desk why I had to pay $9 a day to park there. Her reply was that the lot was patrolled and it kept shoppers from the mall out of their lot. I asked why I was expected to pay for keeping other people out of their lot. She basically shrugged and kept working on my check in. There is a sign clearly posted that the lot is patrolled, but they are not responsible in any way for any damage or theft of your vehicle. Which means even if they are patrolling the lot, they dont have to stop or report anyone if they break into your vehicle. I estimated 125 cars were in the lot , which means they make $1125 A DAY on parking. Also, my balcony door would not close or lock, and my coffee maker was broke. Both were repaired after about an hour. Very poor entrance to the hotel as well, you have to drive thru a Honda dealerships driveway to access the parking gate. Overall, there are much nicer, friendlier places to stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Yorkdale holiday inn. We had a renovated room in the West wing, which was very nice. Everything was clean and housekeeping did a great job.
We ate one night in the restaurant for dinner. Food was very good, portion sizes were good, and price (considering it's a hotel# was reasonable.
I would recommend the hotel again, especially, if you have plans to visit the Yorkdale Shopping centre #which by the way, is great for it's mix of shops that you don't find in many malls.
I was a bit surprised that there is a charge for parking, considering that it's not downtown, but, I can handle $9 a day just fine.

This is our favourite hotel in Toronto. We have been coming here for many years and with one isolated exception have experienced excellent service, rooms and amenities. That exception was several years ago in the form of a rude counterperson who was a trainee - thankful we have not encountered that person since.
Other than that, the staff are exceptionally well-trained, competent, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is maintained in excellent condition and personal touches are the rule.
Excellent hotel and value for money!

Our stay was great... upgrades to the room a definite plus! It felt fresh and modern. The addition of the Keurig was a nice surprise as well as the wine glasses and bottle opener. Staff was friendly as usual and the front check-in clerk was helpful and ready to answer any questions. Conveniently located right beside the Yorkdale mall and subway.

This stay began by calling for our reservation. The person I spoke to could not have been more helpful and checkin was a breeze on our arrival.. Our room was great, comfortable and quiet. The rate was quite good and the location of the hotel is excellent. The front desk was helpful with directions to the subway and it was easy to use with no delays. Very courteous staff. This will be our go to place any time we go to Toronto.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Enjoyed my stay very much, except for one thing- the breakfast buffet. I decided to stay at this exact hotel for their breakfast buffet because it had been so good in the past. But on this particular stay I was not impressed at all. The cereal was stale and the french toast was rock hard. It was very disappointing. I ended up just eating the porridge and when I left I was not pleased that I had to pay so much money for just a bowl of porridge and a few glasses of juice, when I expected the best.
