Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 1st time and loved it The bed was very comfortable and rooms was very clean. The next day the room attendant had missed replacing coffee, and one phone call to the Front Desk had some up to my room very quickly. What impressed me the most was the follow up call from the desk to see if i had received my coffee. That was awesome service. Very friendly staff in the Lounge, where i had dinner both nights, and the food was very good along and again great service. June 26, 2013

The room was clean and well stocked with towels, etc. We are never disappointed when we stay! It might be helpful to both the guest and the trainee, if the trainee was supervised directly when dealing with a guest. That way the trainee is less likely to give incorrect information -- inadvertently, of course. June 23, 2013

The first night however I found it difficult to sleep as a 'machinery' noise kept me awake. I spoke to the desk man the next morning and asked for a change either in the room or the noise. That night I returned at 10 pm and found that nothing had changed. A technical person came to my room and told me it was my neighbour's air conditioner and there was nothing to be done. It was he said, not unusual. Ultimately I was able to get another room, a quiet room. But I found myself having to move at 11pm from one room to another to accomplish it. I had expected more. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noise problem We have stayed in this hotel quite a few times due to its good loction close to the Yorkdale Mall. Plus, the pool, the tennis and pingpong table are good for the kids. However, this hotel definitely has problems with dealing noisy guests - and they have a lot of those young people away from home, desparately trying to have a good time with lots of booze. It is always the same pattern - last time the noise came from a floor above us. You tell the reception, they send security - and the noise will return about 30 min later. Last time I told the reception that I would call the cops if they would not finally put an end to that. Solution: either put all of those young people in one tract or better let them sign what we had to sign at One King West: one warning for noise, the 2nd time you are out on the street - even if that is at 3 am. Believe me, once you have signed that, people are much more cautious because it means business! June 14, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappy Regular Customer Firstly, I checked in at 2130hrs and i was not given the room i requested, which is where i always stayed when i come to Toronto, i got to the front desk and the employee had a problem finding my room where i requested it, which was 12th floor East tower facing the Yorkdale mall. Secondly, i was placed on the 6th floor, and there were kids screaming and running around on the floor, which made it impossible to get some rest after my long drive.the kids were all associated with hockey and soccer teams. I was also charged for supper for my young son under the age of 12, when i thought "kids ate for free" Thirdly, and on more thin i have to complain about is the breakfast, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STEAK BREAKFAST???? Myself and my kids do not enjoy eating at the buffet (breakfast) anymore because your cutbacks has taken away the very thing that made us appreciate eating your breakfast buffet, the replacement beef or whatever it's called, does not make for a classy joint anymore. i hope that your management could forget about the cutbacks and keep the customers happy at least for the price you're charging for the buffet anyway you asked so there it is June 14, 2013

The room was lovely and very well maintained, loved the food and drinks. The breakfast buffet and breakfast in bed were fantastic as well. Yorkdale shopping center is right next door. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fridge Ordered a king size bed room. Very surprised that I had to ask for a fridge and was charged $10/day for it. Seriously, have to ask for it and charged, hahahahahhaha, obviously its not the money. Expected that by ordering a king size bed and pay significantly higher then queen this kind of distresses should not come up. Staff and service was ok. Well, its first time when I experienced this, however I'm going to pay attention from now on and choose hotels that give me less headache and wasting time on things that are there by any "common sense". For sure, Holliday Inn, wont be on my first 3 hotels list anymore. Have a good day April 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good location but that is all I can recommend I recently stayed at this hotel for one night. it is a very large hotel with lots of parking. Check in was fairly easy and moved along quickly although there was a bit a line. Hotel lobby was clean. Our room was owever very small and crowded even with their just being the two of us. It had very poor natural light so even with all the lamps on it was dark in the room. The hallway carpets, room carpet, and wallpaper all seem dated and dark. The bathroom was very small and you had to step all the way in and then close the door before you could move. The door almost touched the toilet. Tub was also old and could do with a re-fit. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so after a shower it could not vent itself effectively. The beds were comfortable so that was a plus. We did have supper in the restaurant but we waited over an hour for a pizza that was not good at all I'm sorry to say. The restaurant is also in an open atrium so you are right next to the pool and children's play area. It was very noisy. I originally chose this hotel for its location and that is a plus if that is all you need. It is close to highway arteries and across the street from a large mall and subway station. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this site. April 27, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like coming home I stay at the Holiday Inn Yorkdale every spring for a workshop held at the hotel. It really is like coming home. The staff recognize me and my colleagues, and they welcome us back like old friends. The meeting facilities are excellent, which is why we keep coming back every year. I have stayed in both the East and West towers. The bathrooms in the East tower are very claustrophobic. The rooms in the West tower are better but ask for one that doesn't look out onto the pool/restaurant area if you want peace and quiet. Wireless internet access was spotty this year; maybe just due to the room I was staying in. The breakfast and lunch buffets are great. Dinner service can be very slow. During my latest visit, it took 40 minutes to get my appetizer. The snack options offered in the meeting room are great. I highly recommend this hotel for any business or vacation traveler. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Over-all I try and stay at Holiday Inn Yorkdale everytime I stay in Toronto for a meeting downtown on the subway route. It is easy to access off 401 and easy to get downtown on the subway. Then easy and quick to get out of the city to go north. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Over-all staff are welcoming and tentative. Last two or three visits felt there was a "falling down" with the restaurant staff for dinners in the evening. April 12, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful stay, will come again Great room, comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub. Staff were wonderful. Cleaning staff very thorough. Fast internet. nice balcony. Fast elevators. Nice location close to subway and mall (despite the shooting across the road, lol). Staff asked me how my stay was going, very friendly, especially lady that checked me in on Friday (dark skin and hair, cant remember name, nice smile). Some small criticisms: ice machine down and it was tricky to find another one (not a huge deal but inconvenient). Pricy when Parking is included. Restaurant didn't have a full menu (no sushi) as it was a long weekend, kind of disappointed about this. Getting in and out of parking lot a real pain, the card took forever to register. No fridge in room, had to throw out leftovers Price of hotel, although I'm sure it is comparable to similar locations and amenities. April 5, 2013

I tried to buy water from the vending machine, but it was sold out, so the front desk staff gave me complimentary water for my trouble. I also forgot my toothpaste, and they had some travel tubes ready to go. The breakfast buffet was awesome and once again, the staff was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay here again! Many of the rooms are accesible to a nice indoor pool area, so it's a good place to take children as well. Accessing downtown Toronto was not always easy due to its suburban location, but train service is within walking distance. March 22, 2013
