Greeted kindly, problem with air conditioner caused us to be quickly moved to a room that was adequate. No breakfast provided in the price of the room. Quiet comfortable stay for quick nights rest while traveling.

Great place to stay. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. Rooms were clean and neat. Enjoyed staying there and highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Trinidad, CO.

Room clean and nice, not much interaction with staff, not real helpful. One person at the desk who was very busy answering the phone and a line of people checking in. Prefer the Holiday Inn in Ratan because of the efficiency and friendliness of their staff. They also have breakfast and snacks available during the evening for us weary travelers. We have a vacation home in Colorado and come through at least 3 times a year over the past couple of years. We wanted to try Trinidad Holiday INN and we did.
Also, there was no recognition of being Priority Club Member, Gold Status.

Our recent stay was not planned. We were traveling from Az to Denver on a motorcycle. After a long day filled with high winds and plenty of flying dirt, we decided to stop. Luckily they had an opening. After a quick check in, we found our room clean and pleasant. There is a resturant downstairs. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and breakfast while looking out at the mountains. Staff we pleasant and attentive. The only con to this and most hotels are the choice of pillows. While they are marked soft and hard, they are also fat. If you prefer a low profile to keep your neck and spine in alignment, bring your own. This is a reference to all hotels, not just this one.

This Holiday Inn is a good stopping place for our trips from Texas to Wyoming. The hotel is pet friendly and leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome. One downside is that there is NO area outside designed for dogs to "do their business". Even a small grassy area would be helpful, but the dogs finally do get the idea that they must use the rocks. I doubt if I would stay here when not travelling with the dog, however, because I prefer a property with feather pillows, real coffee cups & glasses, and the little things that Hilton or Marriott properties provide. The restaurant/bar is a plus, though, that you won't get at a Hampton or Fairfield, which is what this property compares to.

Fabulous that the restaurant is right in the hotel. 60% of the reason we chose you. Very surprised breakfast wasn't included..add $5 to bill and include breakfast. Another HUGE deal is to start Breakfast at 5:30..people like to be on the road by 6:00.
