Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous Staff We were a little crabby after our flight was canceled due to bad weather. However, Liz made us immediately feel better as she served as our substitute shuttle driver. What a nice lady! Joyce in the hospitality room was another peach. Dennis the shuttle driver was also kind and entertaining. Holiday Inn should be proud of these good will ambassadors. They would be an asset to any five star hotel staff. July 4, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Buisness Trip Hotel Staff - Front desk in particular were extremely unfriendly, did not want to help when I needed change for a 20. I reserved for a King Size bed and got a room with two double beds that were less than desirable to sleep on. Gave me the impression they were original beds from when the hotel was built. I was extremely disappointed in this hotel, I have stayed several times at Holiday Inn's around the state of Texas and this was the worst one I have ever stayed at. Couldnt even go outside on the balcony outside my room, why have them if youre going to lock them up like a jail cell??? The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that Crystal the bartender in the lounge was very friendly and courteous, other than that, you can pretty much bet I will not stay at this place again. I know the renovations are not complete, but I feel as though the hotel made cheap upgrades. i.e. the light fixture in my bathroom was original. The only real issues were the wifi kept cutting out on me and made it hard for me to get an internet connection (which was no deal killer for me) and the bed was very hard with super fluffy pillows which is a personal dislike for me. Other than that I had a peaceful comfortable stay. June 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by uncomfortable It was over 80 degrees in the hotel the entire time 2 days we were there. Check in staff had no idea what they were doing. Got to our room and had to call a plumber for backed up pipes and a maid because the room was not clean. Caution tape at the pool area AND PART OF THE POOL CLOSED. Highly priced and no continental breakfast. If you want breakfast - you will pay a high price for it. Hotel restaurant - wow - told the waiter we were going to go ahead and go somewhere else - he told us lots of people say that. Terrible Terrible Terrible June 24, 2014

I have stayed at Holiday Inn Tyler South Broadway going off on trips where flight is early in morning and spend the first night back if flight is later in evening getting in. There is good Mexican food restaurant next door and friendly lounge atmosphere to unwind. June 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Have taught in this hotel Conference room many times I have taught OSHA Safety Classes in this hotel many years and lived here in Tyler, Texas for 15 years plus. Recently , I moved outside of Tyler, Texas area to Ft Worth, Texas and had to make several trips to Tyler and since being a priority club member, of Holiday Inn booked several nights to relax. I just loved the comfort, service of the very nice staff that would help you or anyone in every way. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, to sleep or read or even use the laptop. Laptop internet was easy to use. The restaurant was wonderful. Breakfast, the option is omelets with any vegetable you want. THEY ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Ymmmmm ,, taste, and smiling staff to go with it. Several TV's in the restaurant with and a private area if you want. This Hotel, has it all. Clean rooms, Conference rooms, a restaurant with very good food. And a separate bar and dance area. Thank you so much for your kindness during my stay. Linda M May 22, 2014

I will consider this location for my next visit to Tyler, TX.. Sales manager Liz assisted our group. My mother told the staff at check in that her son (me) got her the room as a birthday gift. The staff later gave her a birthday basket with a card and chocolates. My mother told me that she felt like a queen. The staff really went out of their way to treat her like royalty. April 26, 2014

I was surprised the room was so small and did not include a morning breakfast for the price. There was not a place to put our open suitcase except on the bed. Seemed strange. April 11, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not again We have stayed at this hotel a few times. We will not be staying again and it is not because of renovations. There was not disturbance due to construction. We asked for a room near the door due to a foot injury and were told there wasn't one available. This hotel has hundreds of rooms and the parking lot had about 100 cars. This was an obvious lie. When we reached our room which was on the backside and down several long hallways nowhere near a door, we found the volume on the television was not working properly, it would cut in and out like bad cell phone. I had purchased some milk and found the refrigerator to be slightly cool but not cold. The next morning we informed the front desk of these problems and without apology or concern they simply stated they would fix the problem. That evening the problems were not fixed and the milk was spoiled. I was tempted to leave it for them but would not because the cleaning staff was friendly and thorough. The front desk staff simply appeared to not care. This was our last stay at this hotel. February 22, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Service Undergoing renovations and we were given notice so that wasn't a big issue. However, when we arrived and checked in, instructions were NOT clear as to where our room was. We drug our bags down a long corridor only to find no room. Had to go all the way back to the desk. The clerk was not friendly when we inquired about directions to our room. Come to find out, the caution tape was prohibiting us from going down the correct hallway to our room. If you are going to remain open when going through a BIG project like this, the least you could do is discount the room. December 31, 2013
