Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room right on the beach Excellent location right on the beach. At first glance you can tell that the property is a little dated, however it was very clean and well maintained. The rooms are more of the basic style hotel room with bed/beds, dresser and lounge chair in the main room and bathroom just to the side of the entry door. (Room was clean and comfortable). The ocean view rooms are just steps away from the beach and all have a small balcony from which we were able to enjoy the sunrise each morning. The pool area is in the center common are of the hotel and was also clean with nice lounge furniture. The onsite restaurant (Mulligan's) was very good. Highly recommend the breakfast. The property is right in the heart of Orchid Island with many small shops and cafes within easy walking distance. Overall good experience and good value. March 5, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inns Should be Embarassed Stayed at the Vero Beach Oceanside Feb. 3-6, 2013. The location is great, directly on the beach at Vero. We waited almost 30 minutes to check in on Sunday afternoon while the one front desk clerk waited on 6 other guests, took phone calls and fielded complaints; SHE NEEDS HELP! The room was in the north side building with a glimpse of the ocean and a panoramic view of the parking lot. The room was barely acceptable, but the sheets were clean - not much else. We were wakened by a loud moving truck, moving furniture in/out of the building late at night -WHY?? The building is in disrepair with rust and holes in the concrete everywhere. The restaurant, Mulligan's is very good; we had 2 meals there and were pleased. Holiday Inns should be embarrassed to have their name on this property; the building is ready for a wrecking ball. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent staff, rooms my wife, son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren stayed at your hotel from 1.18.13 to 1.21.13 we had a great time!!! (except for the lack of sunshine!!) staff is fantastic!! it was nice finally meeting Laura who helped me greatly before we checked-in Elisa at the front desk is unbelievable!!! she made us feel very comfortable and was always smiling and more than helpful regarding our needs!!! Stephanie in housekeeping was great!!!!!!!!! always smiling as well!!! we all had a wonderful experience hope to return someday January 24, 2013

We love Vero Beach and the Holiday Inn has the best value - The room was terrific overlooking the ocean - The beds and the great pillows gave us a wonderful night's sleep - We would like to see the overall outside of the building refurbished so folks would not have to imagine how great the rooms and the staff are. The restaurant was good, especially the outside area and the service excellent! January 20, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 LOVE THE OCEAN/BEACH I stayed there because it was ocean front and I LOVE and need to be near the ocean. The room was ok. The staff did not know how to do anything after about mid afternoon....when whoever does things goes away. So the first room lock would not work, so sent to second room because the lock could not be fixed until the following day.....and I checked in around 1 or 2. I had a wonderful meal on the property. BUT THE BEACH AND OCEAN were awesome. January 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent View The room we had had a balcony with an excellent view of the ocean. Just what we wanted. The room was probably an average room but the bathroom had a nice glass walled shower instead of a bathtub with shower curtain. I really liked that,. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant associated with the hotel, Mulligans, was excellent. They were open on Christmas day and were very busy. The food was always good and the staff was great. January 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Headquarrters for visiting family Each time our son, his wife and our two grandchildren visit Vero from Maine, we immediately book them at Holiday, Vero. And we have been doing this since 2002, Perfect location on the beach, a swimming pool that is total focus for granddaughters, the convenience of Mulligan's next door is a no-brainer for a perfect headquarters for the family...and they are just two miles from our location. Two major grocery stores, and all other needed services are on MIracle Mile is a bonus for any needs for the family. It is across the street from our house. So the best of everything is near at hand. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Slow check-in, no internet Two of us were checking in (separate rooms) with nobody else in the lobby, and I am not exaggerating when I say it took 30 minutes to check in! I'm a business traveler (100 hotel nights / year) and I must say that this was the LONGEST check-in process I've ever seen! And, there were 2 people working behind the desk! Also, the wireless internet was not working in the room. When I called the front desk, I was told that several guests had reported the internet not working. She then told me that she could not reset the wireless router - and I'd have to wait until the next day when the maintenance person got to work. That would be great - but I was checking out the next morning, and unable to complete my work because of this! Front desk personnel should be willing and able to reset the router - which is a simple function! December 7, 2012

Free breakfast was not included with the room like at all other HI Express properties. Of all the Holiday Inn's and Holiday Inn Expresses we have stayed at, this was by far the worst value for the dollar. Buyer be ware! November 24, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LOVED THE VIEW AND OCEAN I was on the ocean front. AWESOME view. It was the reason I stayed there and payed more. The staff were ify in desiring to help me. After I left, I tried to call to see if I left my phone charger cord there. I was told to hold on a minute. Ten minutes later I hung up (cell phone keeps records of times). So I called back, and she said she would have to put me on hold again. I told her it was a quick thing. She put me on hold. So I never got to talk to someone and could not find out how to find a manager or anything. The internet connection was lousy and the guy at the front desk (young) just kept saying, I don't know when I took my lap top to him and showed him what it was doing. The log in screen was flickering like an old movie flicker and would not stop so I could log in as THEIR GUEST. So training needs to be done to their staff. The first room they gave me the key did not work. The lovely lady at the front desk brought me keys when I called. She could not get in. This was before 3 PM. And then housekeeping could get in but said it was the lock and that could not be fixed until the next day. Seems someone should be on call for issues needing fixing. October 21, 2012
