Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Firsty Ausgezeichnetes Hotel in guter Lage mit hervorragendem Team

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LordSebastian1969 Brilliant, Wonderful, Hotel with a lovely Location
This Hotel is simply Superb! The staff, were just so considerate and friendly, and incredibly helpful, recommending restaurants, the best sights and booking various tours, they are Hospitality Ambassadors for the IHG chain and they have a genuine passion for the needs and comfort of their guests. when we would come in, or asked any question it was all answered with warm smiles. They speak English very well. I felt very welcome, comfortable and there was a great positive vibe.
Our room was Wonderful, large, there not all large but ours was, and very functional and clean. I often say it takes a combination of many things to make a great hotel, well here nearly every box is ticked. There's tea and coffee making facilities, lovely bathroom with Great amenities, bar fridge, plenty of hangers and enclosed wardrobes, and spare pillows, with the wonderful Holiday Inn pillow selection you will find the type you like, and if not ring housekeeping and its delivered with a smile. A quite air conditioning keeps every ambient and good sized flat screened tv's. All the staff were extremely helpful, the breakfast staff very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good. The food from the restaurant and room service were all delicious, and very reasonably priced.
Free WiFi is also available in 1 hour sessions. The really great advantage of this hotel is its location only one underground stop from Karlsplatz which is a real transfer point for the whole of Vienna's transport system. But we walked a few times from the Schöbrunn Palace and from the Opera House, they are easy and pleasant walks. Another pleasant walk gets you right into the city centre, we found no need to use the public transport, and it is only a five minutes walk to the Naschmarkt a marvelous outdoor market area with an array of different foods from all over the world, and some nice diverse restaurants that have some very tasty and inexpensive food.
I am a Platinum Ambassador with this Hotels chain loyalty program, and needless to say am very well travelled and have stayed in many of their properties, I rank this amongst the Very Best. I will recommend this to family and friends to get the best experience and highly recommend it for the leisure or business travelers alike, as its rather peaceful to.
This year in June 2013 the Priority Rewards club gets a revamp, a new name and new benefits, with some better reward opportunities and will be called the IHG Rewards Club, so look out for those exciting changes. As an IHG Platinum Elite Ambassador, for ten years, I can recommend this Hotel and the free rewards program.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CleverJames Spacious room and friendly service
We stayed at the Holiday Inn while visiting Vienna for the marathon weekend. We asked ahead for a late checkout and directions to the hotel on public transport and we were happily accommodated. The room was spacious (bigger than I had expected), the beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent! The nearest metro station is about 10-minutes walk away, but I wasn't bothered by that. I would recommend others to stay here.

Also I can highly recommend the trattoria Margeretta, just 600 meters in the same road.

It is comfortable and very central. The rooms, at least the ones I had in my last two visits are nice, but with disable facilities in the bathroom. Not everyone needs this!

We found this hotel through searching for a Holiday Inn in Vienna near the train station. It's about a 10 minute walk from the station which can be a bit of pain but without luggage it's enjoyable enough.
Very helpful and friendly check in and Reception. Always willing to answer questions.
Getting to the rooms was a bit of a maze but once inside it was clean, reasonable spacious and comfortable. Wifi was possible for free, you just have to refresh your session every hour. It wasn't as some people have potrayed as costing money.
Good location in an interesting area. Good value by Vienna hotel standards as they're generally pretty expensive. We didn't eat there but the food in the restaurant looked nice at dinner time. Value was the only thing that detracts from the ratings but that's a comment on Vienna in general. In respect to this hotel as value within Vienna, it certainly is.
