The Hotel is a 10-minute walk from the one of the U station. It's within acceptable walking distane to the major attractions. The staff were not very friendly. It is not convenient to go to the lift from the receptionist with your luggages because there are two sets of steps. We stayed in 211. The room was quite small, compared to those in Frankfurt, Munich and Salzburg. We had free wifi, that's a plus. However, the two pillows labled with "firm" were soft and out of shape, needless to say the other two labled with "soft". I requested for two firm pillows twice, in the early afternoon and in the evening. When we came back at night, two pillows were placed on the floor. I guessed the staff wouldn't know where to put the pillows as the room was so small. We did not use the two big pillows because they were smelly and were not clean. I always have confidence in Holiday Inn's pillow standard. I was disappointed this time.

A COSY HOTE, SLIGHTLY AWAY FROM THE HUSTLE & BUSTLE OF THE CITY CENTRE. REASONABLY CLOSE TO THE U4 METRO TO GO TO THE AIRPORT VIA CAT & SCHOBRUNNE PALACE.
ROOMS ARE CLEAN, THE BREAKFAST IS SUMPTUOUS. STAFF ATTENTIVE & HELPFUL. FRONT DESK KNOWLEDGEABLE.
THE COURTYARD ADDS A FLAVOUR TO THE HOTEL ABMIENCE.
WORTH A STAY & MORE.

Location was okay but offered very little by way of nearby services. Staff were okay but not overly friendly and there was no recognition at all of priority club membership.
Access to the lift was difficult due to 2 sets of steps needed to be negotiated before you even get to the lift. This made getting your luggage to the lift awkward.
Beds were comfortable and room layouts good.
Lack of priority club membership disappointing.

For the price that hotel is located not so far from the subway station. They usually recognize your "priority club" status but last time they did not mention anything. Unfortunatetly, they do not have any gym or swimming pool. Where the gym they refer to is close!
Hotel have a bar where you can relax, which is cool!

This hotel is a little out of the normal tourist zone. It is a good walk into the area of the museum and cathedral, but if you use public transportation bus and subway connects are available within a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is in the middle of a neighborhood which was nice to walk around in the mornings and evenings. The food in the hotel was very good, but I thought the price for the breakfast buffet was very expensive for the limited offerrings. There are other food options close by.
I found the staff to be excellent. I only know greetings in German and evereyone I came in contact with realized that and was able to speak relatively fluent English. The Breakfast staff was wonderful, asked you what you had done the previous day, gave suggestions and help on want to see if you asked. The front desk staff was excellent during checkin and checkout.
Pillows could be a little bigger and the mattress didn't provide the best comfort, at least for my sleeping type.
The Internet access was odd in that you had to re-login once per hour to use free Internet, but that should all change soon since IHG is requiring all properties to offer free guest Internet.

My girfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful time in Vienna and at the Holiday Inn. The staff was so accommodating and the property is in great shape. I had so much fun interacting with the staff as we worked on improving my Deutsch! I look forward to my next trip to Vienna and stay at the Holiday Inn. It was also very nice at the end of the day to relax with a drink and chat with our friend tending the bar.
