We have spent 6-8 times in 12 months at this hotel. Unfortunately this stay was a reversal of previous times.
We received the breakfast vouchers but the staff and service were poor. The service was not timely, the food cold, the area around the buffet was dirty, the floor sticky. When asked of the staff why our food was not ready, we had ordered from the menu for our grandson, she said it was because the hotel was full and they were very busy. Not a good excuse, is it.
The front desk staff were rude when we asked why our room key stopped working for the 6th time. The staff member gave my wife a new one then tossed it to her across the counter.
Our house keeping staff provided excellent service. The night we had dinner in the restaurant was excellent thanks to Jose and his excellent customer service.
We don't believe we'll be staying here again soon. There are to many other hotels in the area.

This one is excellent among holiday inns.
Price is good too and if you are familiar with complimentary breakfasts, don't think that is what you are in for- you are waited upon and the buffet has real bacon/sausage/eggs etc!
Rooms have older style a/c units that have more straightforward analog controls that I prefer anyway, but if you are into digital A/C then just know it is not digital. It is roof mounted though which is a plus, because the wall mounted units don't cool the whole room as efficiently as these ones do.

Ubicado a solo 45 minutos del parque sequoia, este hotel ofrece una alta comodidiad para aquellos que quieran disfrutar del parque.
La pisina techada y su restaurante hicieron espectacular mi estadia junto a mi familia.

Was excited to stay here based on the photos shown, but they are truly over rated.
Outdoor pool closes at 10, indoor at 9???
Restaurant provided great service in the morning, but horrible in the evening.
Had issues with my room and after calling three times, NEVER got a resolution or follow up from front desk.
Lost room key, wasn't asked for ID to get a new one. So I suppose anyone can get into your room

I wanted to take a moment to bring to your attention Aaron at the front desk. I broke my foot and I'm on a mobility scooter. Aaron was understanding and upgraded me to a room with more space so I could park and charge the scooter. The staff here is great. The restaurant staff is also very attentive. Please applaud your employees for me.

the entry and lobby areas are in very nice condition, however we arrived on a Friday evening to see security ejecting som every drunk patrons from the bar. The room was dated but comfortable. The Air conditioning was great and housekeeping very good. The morning breakfast buffet was good, but floors were dirty and sticky every time we visited. Overall we slept well and felt a good value for the money.

Nice accommodations. Nice beds. Breakfast is awesome. Stay in main bldg if you can. Other buildings are older looking and need updating. Overall, very good. I will definitely stay here again whenever I am in the area.

Room was comfortable enough, but furnishings, fixtures and carpet are showing age and heavy use. The hotel needs a face lift. Staff were unremarkable and several didn't even make eye contact when passing. Overall, kinda blah as hotels go.

Pool closes at 9:00 pm. Doesn't open till 10a. Not very good. I got in late, and left for work by 8. Couldn't swim in my workout.

Wow! What a great group of people. The staff at the front desk - Terry, Carrie, and Sara are the best. Always ready with a friendly smile or a kind word. They provided great restaurant and scenic drive advice. The only thing better at the hotel was the staff in the restaurant - Raul, Monty, and Jose were fantastic. The service is excellent, the restaurant is very clean, and the breakfast food looks and tastes great.
The location next to the park is ideal for relaxing strolls after work and for quick get-aways to the mountains. I stay in hotels over 150 nights per year - and this is one of the best values I have encountered.

We arrived on Friday May second and checked in. The room was “OK” nothing to write home about but very clean with everything in it's place.
We left the hotel and returned at 8:30 pm went to the hotel eatery and was told they were closed for the night. When we point out the sign said open until 9:00 pm the person said yes but we take our last order at 8:30 and if we wanted something to eat we should go to the bar. We went to the bar, the bartender was very nice but overwhelmed, and when we asked for menus she seemed surprised we did not go to the dinning room.
After sharing what we were told she said “That is ridicules” I told her I agree.
She returned with our orders the Prime Rib French dip sandwich was good, but the shredded beef sallied was disgusting.
After attending an event on Saturday we returned to the hotel about 9:00 pm, extremely loud music was coming from the bar area. Went to the room, our room was on the second floor opposite side of the hotel from the bar. We just wanted to relax and get some sleep. The music from the bar was so loud sleeping was imposable. I called the front desk about 10:00 pm when I explained my issue the front desk staff laughed and said “Yea it is kind of loud” and hung up. I called back about 10:30 it went to the message center, Called again at 10:45 same result, at 11:00
I went down to the desk to complain the man behind the desk (looking sloppy with no tie or name tag# said “What do you want me to do? It’s a wedding party and they paid for the time” .
I was so angry I just went back to the room in complete disbelief. When checking out the next day I talked with the Gentleman working the front desk, he was very understanding and apologized for the inconvenience, he then took $50.00 dollars off a two night stay. I thanked him for the gesture, and explained I was so angry that when we are back next year I would most likely be staying at another hotel.
After talking with other members of our group #nine people in five rooms) all reported they had similar issues..

Great location but the room (5th floor) smelled of an electrical fire near the elevator. Time for a renovation, remove the popcorn ceiling and all drywall then paint and cover with wall cover the owner can R&R when a guest smokes in the owners room (charge the errant guest for the price of the R&R) . This is rated as a non-smoking facility but the stench is bad, bring a bottle of unscented Fabrise (R) if you plan to stay here. NO CINABUNS!

From the moment we checked in to the day we checked out, we experienced the best service. The rooms and property were clean, comfortable & cozy, AS USUAL.
Our #1 reason for staying at this Holiday Inn is the fabulous service and attention to detail, that we always receive from the restaurant. We have many local visitors come to the property to dine with us. Always a Sunday brunch for about 20. Jose and Tisha are so 'customer service' oriented. For our Sunday brunch, Tisha made sure that we received nothing less than the best, both in food quality and service. She deserves a great big "Great job!" from her boss.
We would go out of our way to stay at this Holiday Inn.

We were there with a large group for a soccer tournament. The rooms were great and my kids loved the pools.The only thing missing was a little store inside to buy those last minute things you forget when travelling. Also another set of washer and dryers, only one of each which was bummer when several teams were trying to wash their children's dirty soccer uniforms for the next day.

Check in and assumed my room had a fridge and microwave. Which it did not. Went back to front desk to get another room, she had stated all other rooms with fridge and microwave were already reserved, but offered to have fridge and microwave delivered to my room. That solved that problem. Room seemed small & tight and had an OLD smell to it, like a past smokers room. Hotel room showing age on walls and ceiling cracks.
Kind of disappointed with hotel for not upgrading my room, as I looked online and seen larger executive rooms available for the rest of the week. I'M a PLATINUM REWARDS member! If available, I should've been offered the upgrade, and I seen the larger rooms available.
Dining breakfast buffet was sufficient and restaurant was quite nice.
Other better quality Holiday Inn or express within 10-15 minute drive away in Selma or Dinuba are a better quality hotel for sure. But if you must stay in Visalia, it's ok, but check out other options.
Room had a weird old smell.

Sarah at the front desk always remembers me even when I'm not around for months. Check in is always friendly and efficient....a great way to start a stay! The restaurant delivers high quality dishes and the service is always attentive. The breakfast buffet is second to none! Love the fresh pineapple and the coffee is delicious. I stay here whenever I can. Even if I have to change a travel trip.
