Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BillyX Austin east your heart out!
Never expected to see such an upscale yet reasonably priced, contemporary yet warm, new boutique hotel like this in Waco. Sounds condescending, I know, but good for Waco!
And there is not a Hotel Indigo yet in Austin! Ha!
+ handsome modern rooms that are neither cold nor bland
+ high ceilings
+ spacious walk-in showers
+ large rooms
+ superb beds
+ pleasant professional staff
+ nice dining
+ beautiful dark wood floors
+ nice little pool and fitness room
+ close to Baylor and to I-35 but a few blocks away to minimize truck noise
- almost barren outside entrance area grounds and parking lot could use a few big trees in the acres of asphalt.
- avoid rooms near elevator due to its somewhat loud bell

The hotel is in a great location! Super swanky & posh accomodations. Reasonably priced for the upscale options compared to most Waco hotels.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dallasgirl53 Everything Great EXCEPT the food service and parking
Loved that this hotel was new and the modern design. Very Euro rooms with bare floors and just a scatter rug-felt clean. Spacious room and bath.Quiet with only some stomping noise from room above us-not in the hallways. Staff greeted us promptly and was knowledgeable. Bar at night was great for visiting with lots of great seating and television-open concept.
Parking on a busy night was a problem. Hotel was at capacity and some of us had to park in odd spots on two nights as there was no room in normal parking spaces.
Thought we would have breakfast one morning, but Sunday brunch was lacking in attendants and tables were dirty and food station unattended by staff. Opted for coffee but had a hard time finding a seat at a clean table-and this was 10:20am. Saw the desk manager bussing tables and trying to help the restaurant bar staff. Not appetizing food assortment-felt unclean.
Thought price was high-though acknowledge it was a parents weekend and all surrounding hotels were gouging.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. They made a point to learn your name and they made me fill as if it was my home away from home.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wft1 I love this new little boutique hotel
The staff has been awesome and the rooms are so nice, new, clean and comfortable. Very close to Baylor campus too! The only downside is the loud lobby area on weekends when they have a band playing, but we could not hear the band from our room on the 3rd floor. And, the room service is pretty much non-existent since the staff is so small at the cafe. It is hard to service the rooms and the bar and cafe all at one time. We went downstairs to pick up our food and take it back to the room, but we still waited a long time for our order.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by momabear Nice hotel downtown Waco.
We were pleased that the rooms are very large, clean and comfortable. However, there is a nightclub on the first floor and our room was on the second floor so the music was pretty loud. I will request a room on the other end of the hotel next time. This hotel is very close to Baylor and several restaurants.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mo35 Clean sheets and clean bathroom
My husband and I went down to Waco for a friend's wedding, so we spent a night at the Indigo- Baylor and we LOVED IT!!! We're both germophobes so we usually have to disinfect hotel rooms before we feel comfortable enough to sleep in them, but the Indigo was immaculate! No itchy scratchy, make your skin crawl feeling here. The sheets were fresh, bathroom sparkling clean. The wood floors also helped the place feel alot more sanitary than carpeted hotel rooms. I loved the modern design, the lobby had a pot pourri smell to it and the design was stunning. We will definately look out for more Indigo Hotels wherever we go.

From the minute I walked in, I felt as if I were at home. The guest service representative Mike & Sye gave me a warm welcome, and made sure I would have a great night stay. I have never met anyone that checked me in better then them. I will definitely return back to this hotel. Keep it up guys!

I stayed at Hotel Indigo for about 2 weeks in June 2012. The hotel is very new and the interior is straight out of a magazine. The lot is small but the rooms are very nice. The hotel is located across the street from the Salvation Army, but I was in my room most of the time and this did not affect my stay. The Restaurant/Bar is modern but pricey with a lack of variety. There are more affordable eateries located near the property. The bathroom was beautifully designed and made for a refreshing stay. The only real negative I had about my room was that the bed comforter smelled like a dog. I hated the smell. Probably not a problem in most cases. Friendly staff, but very young and not many options you are used to in larger hotel chains. Overall a great stay. I would recommend this hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MsAngee Great Place to Stay in Waco (or anywhere)!!!
Initially I considered not staying here because of the reviews I read said that while it's a nice hotel, the rooms seemed cold and uninviting and I usually like warm, cozy spots.
But since I liked the decor and the newness of the hotel based on the photos I viewed on the website, I decided to give it a try.
I absolutely LOVED Hotel Indigo, Waco!!! It was totally inviting, and I was completely comfortable. It was also kinda cool that there was no carpet on the floor (I actually like the idea of no carpet).
The waffle maker wasn't working when I went to have breakfast, and I will say that the breakfast choices were on the light side, which is ok if you are a light eater in the morning, but I like to eat full, hearty meals in the morning and just went to Dennys which was located down the highway not even 2 minutes away.

Spacious rooms, bright and modern decor. Close to downtown, Baylor, restaurants and activities. Friendly staff and an enjoyable stay. Check in can be a bit slow if there two or more parties arriving at once, but they are trying to insure each guest is well served.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wipedout Great Hotel in Waco!
I've stayed at a few hotels in Waco and this is the best.
Rooms are clean, modern and nicely designed. Rooms are large as well. Beds are comfortable.
The entire hotel is smoke free which is great. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
THe abr and Bistro were very good. Bar is right in lobby which may be off setting to some on a Friday night when you check in but don't let the happening crowd deter you.
Highly recommend this hotel if you are in town to visit Baylor or in town for business or a conference.

I really am so glad that this hotel is here. It is new, refreshing, bright
and I love the smell as you walk in. The ONLY downside I have is they are way understaffed. The kitchen serves delicious food and drinks but they need an experienced restaurant manager that is not also the front desk manager and the bar tender. The employees literally seem to work all over the place and the restaurant bar area suffers with attention to detail. It takes a long time to get someone to wait on you unless you walk up to them and ask for service. Once you can get their attention, then they graciously and gladly help you but is due to lack of experience and they need to hire someone to specifically manage the dining area. Other than that it is a lovely place. Also, they should keep up on the maintenance on the rooms such as touching up paint before it looks old before its time. I think that if they are going to keep this a boutique hotel, then they need to really focus on attention to detail.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Parent1 First time at hotel
We liked the room although the it was a little too contemporary for us. Seemed like there was a lot of space in the foyer of the room where the coffee pot was. Seems like there should be a chair there to relax or a table. The bed was heavenly and very comfortable. The commode needs to be separated with a door from shower and sink so two people can use the bathroom.
The restaurant was not staffed and our breakfast was average. Service was not good for a 5 star hotel. The chairs at the table was like a lounging bar chair and could hardly eat well at the table for a meal. The hotel inside did not match the outside facade. I know the hotel is new to Waco but it seemed so out of place for the city. It would be nice to incorporate some of Waco or Baylor in the hotel lobby. The service at the desk while checking in was above average but the restaurant brought the whole stay down.
We do have two more weekends reserved at the hotel, so I hope it is full service and 5 star quality.

Everything was exceptional. The only thing I would like to see is you offer a few rooms with firm beds. The pillow top beds are a little too soft for our comfort.

Close to downtown and where I work so I chose H. I. because our water was not working at home and I needed a shower and a good nights sleep. I was pleased to find no wall-to-wall carpeting in the room; however, the floors were not clean...and there was even a bottlecap on the floor. The dresser was unlevel and rocked when I opened the door to find the hidden mini fridge. It was unstable enough that it casued flat screen television to wobble. The shower was more than adequate, but the water was so hard that only one shower made my hair feel brittle and I couldn't get enough lotion on my skin. When I ordered room service...(sandiwich) I got a call 20 minutes later that they were out of the panini bread...and when my order was delivered...the homemade chips were black and unedible. The bedding was very comfortable and the sheets were so soft...for which I was thankful. I was also pleased to not have been disturbed by outside noise or other guests...nice sized room, but seemed oddly arranged...there was ample empty space near the door, but little room between the bed and dresser...and only one side chair for sitting...glad I was alone...anyone else would have had to sit on bed or on the desk chair. All in all it was ok...but not exceptional as I expected for a brand new hotel.

My husband found this gem online prior to our Memorial Weekend visit to Texas-- and when it arrived and throughout our stay, we were very impressed-- ambiance, customer service, attnetion to detail and comfort! Located just a few block's walk from the Baylor Campus, offering fine dining, exceptional comfort, and a pool/patio/jacuzzi area that was designed for relaxation. What a true gem--and the true sparkle! of this gem was an employee named Medina from the kitchen.... incredible customer service skills, professionalism and an ability to make one feel like a special family member. I would eat anything this
woman prepared and know I would be begging for seconds!!

Stayed for 3 nights, and loved it, just happened to check my priority club points and saw this new hotel in Waco where I happen to be going. Beautiful hotel, really made me feel like I was on vacation instead of business. Staff was extremely friendly and bistro/bar was great, even ordered room service at 9:50pm (they close at 10:00) and had it delivered with a smile. My new favorite hotel! I will look for again when booking rooms.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Autumn03 Spacious room and the place to be.
Not your typical hotel but truly embellishes what upscale boutique is. And right in Waco. Once you enter the hotel you are reminded of what you can experience in the local neighborhood. Take it all in as you take the elevator to your guest room. Not your average size room as they are spacious and can easily accommodate families. I was able to spread out, relax and enjoy a great night's sleep. The room was really made with the guest in mind. After a hard day at the office, the restaurant/bar was exactly what was needed. The local community seems to think so too because it was very busy and just by the buzz, it was full of Waco locals. Definitely nice atmosphere and good food.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mcdmomo fresh and comfortable room but hotel lobby extremely understaffed
Room was spacious, clean and very nicely furnished. Liked every thing about it.
The lobby restaurant/bar was very understaffed. The staff was qualified and nice, but doing the job of 3 people. It took 10 minutes to get a glass of water, as the waitress was taking orders, delivering food and cleaning tables. Front desk was also staffed with only one person and several people were checking out our inquiring of service.
