Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good to be back I used to stay at this hotel years ago. The external appearance is very in keeping with when it was built. Happily the rooms have been refurbished. The old bars and resturant have been modernised. The breakfast buffet was an added bonus May 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Impossible to sleep because of noise Stayed for business for two nights. On both nights there were events in the hotel. The music was so loud as to prevent any sleep. I was unable to change room on the first night. I changed room on the second night - although was unable to do so until past midnight - but it was little better. This was completely unacceptable. The hotel should not accept bookings from the public when events are scheduled like this. May 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel We secured a great rate for an overnight stop at this hotel and got fantastic value for money. As platinum IHG members we were acknowledged when we checked in, and made to feel very welcome. Natalia, the receptionist on duty when we checked in, and checked out, was very friendly, helpful and genuine, ensuring we were happy with our room (comp upgrade) and the facilities within. We felt valued as guests. The bar area is a good size with plenty of comfy seating, but also felt cosy due to the split level areas. Our room was large, modern and I guess, freshly decorated. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and also well presented . I will definitely stop at the hotel again in the future and will have no hesitation in recommending to to my family and friends. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average 4 nights plus a training course One week a month for the last five months, and some improvements noted, particularly in the food quality. I got a club biscuit on arrival (no choice for extra points or upgrade or anything). Staff remain very friendly, but If anything, overly familiar. Bathroom was dirty (around sink) on arrival. Room was noisy, even though I asked for a quiet one. Very accommodating when I asked to change room, but sadly, I was downgraded to a very small room with a badly ripped curtain. I would stay again though, because problems generally rectified quickly and the location is excellent with generally friendly staff. Please clean your dining room chairs - the dust accumulation is quite staggering!! In conference rooms, it would be much safer and more useful to have the projectors ceiling mounted. This isn't expensive but would avoid the extensive trip hazards and blinding lights for our poor tutor! April 20, 2015

Arrived to discover some refurbishment to the restaurant area so needed to take dinner in the bar which was ok as the hotel was quiet. Duty manager Luke Denton was superb in ensuring all went smoothly. Room very comfortable and hotel is in a good location. April 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent choice ! I love this hotel It is truly what one expects from a good Holiday Inn. I have now stayed here a few times and I am always very happy. The rooms are large, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The shower is great and the TV tea facilities etc are superb. The staff are magnificent. If you want to stay here and you are indecisive then take my word for it... you will love this hotel... I promise ! April 8, 2015
