I visited recently with a friend whilst on a motorcycling weekend.
Check in was fast, staff were helpful and friendly.
Breakfast could have been better if the bacon and sausage had not been so dried out even though we were practically first in the restaurant.
Dinner was very nice and served efficiently even though they were quite busy.
I'm not impressed with the design of the new shower rooms as the walk in shower dominates the room leaving room for a small basin with a large mixer tap that makes it very difficult to wash.
My only other gripe is that our room was not serviced for our second day, which was irritating but not worth making a fuss about at the time.
All in all I would have no hesitation in staying again and recommending to others.

We stayed for a long weekend here and were in a room which had been recently refurbished.
Room was pleasant and clean, bathroom a little tired - but clean.
The food for breakfast was good for a buffet.
The staff are exceptional and made us feel welcome and looked after through the whole visit

Missing points from my stay.
Make sure that you always check that points have been added
There are other Holiday Inns where I have stopped that give a better service . It's a shame that standards aren't consistent throughout the brand.

For me the Holiday Inn brand signifies a certain level of luxury -a step above other brands and I come to expect facilities such as a pool and gym as standard. This Hotel has none of these yet it calls itself a Holiday Inn would be better labeled as a Holiday Inn Express .
The lack of thick curtains and double glazing means that my sleep is disturbed and I awake too early for comfort.

This hotel offers great value for money, the staff were extremely helpful, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is very good in both quality and selection
