Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfactory stay. Avoid the restaurant After plugging the hole in the connecting door so my neighbor did not have to view me I was able to enjoy my room better. I then proceeded to the restaurant for a poor and overpriced steak and unwashed baked potato. I cannot stress enough not to go for dinner. Mcdonalds next door is my recommendation. However, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. February 1, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location, Price, Comfort - A Winner This is not a luxury hotel but the value in location, price, and comfort make this a great choice for business or tourist travelers. We have stayed here many times and find this property consistently good. Housekeeping service is sometimes a little less than perfect. Some aspects of carpeting and furnishings could use repair. Having a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker are a big plus. Overall the staff are professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Grocery, pharmacy, coffee shops, and a variety of restaurants are all easy walking distance. We can comfortably walk with our suitcases from the McPherson Square metro station. All of DuPont Circle is also a moderate, safe walk. January 1, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waste of points The stay was very poor. I called for fresh towels 3x with no success. The water was only warm. Would never heat up. I called the front desk about my tv remote regarding dead batteries and nobody responded. I had to go to cvs to by fresh batteries for remote. I asked for a taxi and I actually had to hail my own. Was just a terrible experience. Wish I never wasted my points. I would never recommend a holiday inn in or around the dc area. . December 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location We were in walking distance of all the sites we wanted to see, even though a cab driver told us it was too far to walk. The accommodations were comfortable. The buffet was overly pricey and a box of cereal was $4. That would not deter my staying again, just not recommending the buffet. Our rowdy neighbors hooted and hollered until about 3:30 AM and we were unable to sleep for the noise. Then they tried to open the adjoining room doors. November 29, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by In the centre of Washington The hotel is situated in a close proximity to all the benefits of official and underground locations. Directly in between of 14-th and 15-th streets it gave me access to my business and leisure points. The room upgrade for me as IHG-Platinum member was excellent: nice spacious living room and bedroom, and a balcony along too living spaces. The view and stay were great. I would thank all the people at reception for a nice welcome and assistance in making documents for my accountant with some specific demands. That was great! November 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by loved it. what a wonderful hotel in a great location with a friendly and helpful staff. what I REALLY liked besides the quality breakfast buffet, was the fact that I felt so secure. you had to use your room key to get on the elevator and use the downstairs ladies room. that was nice. the staff was very friendly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by loved being here the staff was friendly, efficient, and accessible. the rooms were very nice and the location was wonderful. there was always someone out front to help with arrival, getting a cab or anything else. I really appreciate the fellow who was working in the lobby when i managed to get myself sort of stuck in the revolving door; he got me right out! I was very very pleased at the value of these rooms, the price was amazing for being so close to everything. I could walk to the mall or the zoo. The service during the day was excellent with the front desk personnel couteous and helpful. Did experience some loud partygoers in the hallways late at night but would not blame that on the hotel. Room upgrade was marvelous. The room really was really well laid out. Great work space, two TV's, mini fridge, two bathrooms. There were plenty of towels and a robe. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected. I had experienced the Sunday brunch which was excellent but had never stayed in a hotel room. While the location was excellent, I was underwhelmed by the room, especially compared to the newer Holiday Inns I stayed in the following nights in Knoxville, TN and Maumelle, AK. The internet was not working in the room and two of the three elevators were out of service. The room was much more expensive than the other two Holiday Inns (which is understandable since it was in downtown DC) but not near as nice. November 8, 2013

Our room was comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The location of the hotel for a visitor to Washington was ideal for walking to the White House, museums etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any Washington visitors. October 26, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Fair Room was across from elevator (I'm a Reward's Club Member). Carpet was wet by the air conditioner. Took two days for maintenance to attend to it. When maintenance did come, they turned off the a/c, on a hot day, and put a fan on the wet carpet. Later that day, I returned to the room and nothing had changed. The front desk said that it would be fixed by that afternoon. When I returned to the room in the afternoon, nothing had changed. Eventually moved to another hot, more expensive room. Overall lack of attention and concern by the staff. October 9, 2013

Six block walk to the Metro, easy in the morning and several places to grab coffee+ along the way , a bit slower after a full day of sightseeing. While it wasn't a problem for me, the in room safe was locked and not able to be used. I also thought that there was a dvd player in the room , which it didn't. Nice, young area and plenty of restaurants in any direction I would walk. If you're looking for a good laugh, go to the Capital Steps show on Friday or Saturday . It's well worth the price. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprisingly pleased! The staff was courteous, and the breakfast buffet was really good (it also helped having someone there to prepare omelets!). Regarding the room; the pillows were nice and firm! The air controls were a bit tough to manage but worked as it should. I'll always have a beef with Holiday Inn towels. There are barely enough and the quality of them is not the greatest. But, all things considered, this was a pleasant experience and was worth the price paid. October 1, 2013
