Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by was not the best stay the battery to enter the roo0m was bad we had to go down stairs 4 times to get it right the desk seemed to think it was our fault we stay there all the time as our children live near by but every time we arrive it is never like welcome back but 'is this your first time" The staff for breakfast is excellent they can not help us enough we arrived late Wednesday night and the man who registered us was very good Sorry I did not get his name and a women on the desk from Boston was also good November 30, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn I have every stayed in. Experience from check-in to check-out was so surreal!. Staff in general with "attitude" problem. Check in clerk seemed annoyed that I showed up at the time I showed up and not helpful with the questions I asked him about the area. He had this "I checked you in already; what more do you want from me?" attitude. So different experience from other Holiday Inns where the staff would welcome you, attend to you, answer all your questions, give you a map of the area and orient you as to your location, give you different options on how to get to your desired destination from the hotel, etc. Check out clerk was even giving me someone else's bill on check-out when I asked for a print-out because there was $80.00 charge from the restaurant which I know I did not incur; I paid cash when I ate at the restaurant. They should take a lesson from the staff on Rhode Island where the staff are excellent, exude an air of warmth and welcome to their guests. Other than the location, there's nothing else this hotel could boast of. November 17, 2012

It does have a fridge and microwave which is great because it allow's you to warm up and eat what you boxed up at dinner. Needs a safe in the room. I was platinum and was treated as platinum member, which is nice and keeps me with this hotel chain. November 17, 2012

The staff at the front desk were so pleasant, helpful and quick to check us in and out. The two men always had a smile. The rooms were standard, but very clean and the beds were comfortable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay You have the best hotel and staff! My friend and I were guests at the HI from October 14 through October 18. Your staff is fabulous. Joseph, Aryelle, Jesse, and Amanuel were just great. They are the most pleasant individuals always greating us with a smile. They all came up with suggestions for restaurants. We dined at the hotel restaurant 3 times. Amanuel actually took us around the corner to the Circulator bus stop and explained how to get around DC; we only used ther car once (our trip to Mount Vernon and Arlington National Cemetery). All the time, we either rode the Circulator or walked. We were so pleased with our room as well. Your housekeeping staff is tops. While we were not messy by any means, I always knew that the the room had been thoroughly cleaned. On our way home via Route 95N, we suddenly realized that a cell phone and charger at been left in the room. We called from the road and Aryelle remembered us and quickly connected us to Housekeeping who indicated that the phone and charger were there. We were put in contact with Anthony who arranged to have the phone sent by UPS. I will say that we will return to the District and we will stay at the HI. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel This was my second stay at the hotel. After a trans-Atlantic flight it is nice to get into a comfortable hotel and unwind. A very easy check in. The room is a good size and very comfortable, A great location and very friendly staff. I really cant recommend this hotel highly enough. I look forward to visiting again in the near future. Our daughter goes to American University and your motel with the shuttle service is very convenient for us. For the record, for the past two years, the desk manager's have been very accomadating. As a matter of fact, one of your desk manager's, Bryant, who both my wife have come to know, has been excellent. Thank you very much. We'll be back again to get our daughter once more in the spring! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel, great food, great value! We've stayed here a few times while visiting our daughter at college. The staff is always friendly and exceptionally helpful. The rooms are clean and the bed is uber comfortable! There is even a special pillow service where you can request the firmness of your pillow. The restaurant has surprisingly good food. I love the 'John F' salad, and look forward to it every time we come. My husband loves the pecan chicken and my daughter can't get enough of the mushroom ravioli. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We were lucky to find it. It was recommended by our local AAA office. October 22, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient It is walking distance to both Georgetown and georgetown University, but the free shuttles were convenient and faster if you are in a rush or are carrying packages. The drivers were great and helpful. The chef made cupcakes and hot apple cider one day and put them out in the lobby for free- the cupcakes were better then the famous Georgetown cupcakes and you did not have to stand in line to buy them. The rooms are clean and adequate, the beds were comfortable. Nothing too fancy, but adequate. October 21, 2012

My only issue with my room was I like sleeping on the side of the bed that was closest to the air conditioning unit, so it blew right on me, but if I had moved to the other side of the bed, I'd've been fine. So, I just covered my arm with the covers while I read in bed. The staff were some of the friendliest people I've ever dealt with, and the food--just at the bar!--was really good! Great beers on tap, too! Lots of towels, free Wi-Fi and even HBO! Close to Dumbarton Oaks, and they will shuttle you to the Metro! Well worth it! October 11, 2012

The hotel is comfortable with a nice (small) swimming pool to relax. Rooms were clean Our experience with the breakfast was not good. Unfriendly staff with an expensive buffet makes you loose your morning appetite. October 8, 2012
