They know how to deliver TRUE customer service and make a guest feel welcome. I have stayed here many times within the past month , and really cannot believe the value for the location, and service of this hotel. I will, indeed return time and time again. February 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Everyone is always nice here. I was there in Aug/Sept when my mother passed away and the girls at the front desk were so nice to me, gave me flowers. Karin is one and I think Ariel or Aeisha is the other girl, I am sorry I don't remember her name. Karin remembered me and it was so nice to see her. They were both very helpful in setting up multiple rooms for my family to stay. I missed having the warm breakfast bar and not too happy about the parking going up from $10 to $30 a day. Staff was excellent and helpful, especially night manager Joseph, who facilitated check-in and provided assistance in the middle of the night check-in during a snow-storm. A little bit out of the way in upper Georgetown, and not so close to a Metro. Easy cab ride away from DC and VA business districts. Close to airport. February 16, 2014

The staff was helpful in recommending places to eat, and obtaining directions, which saved so much time. the only negative was the charge for the parking. with such a large lot, was surprised. The location on Wisconsin is near shopping and other services (three Starbucks locations within easy walking distance). The front desk personal are welcoming and the extra snacks offered at the end of the day always pleasant. February 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprised in DC I don't normally expect extreme friendliness and a good value when I come to DC, but that's what I got here. Everyone was beaming at me when I walked through the front door and they put a drink in my hand while I was checking in! The attached restaurant was very good and not too expensive for the area. The only thing that was a bit mysterious to me was the $30 parking fee on top of the very good price for the night. Even with the $30 fee added, the total price was very competitive for the area but seemed weird when I looked around the perimeter of the hotel and saw lots of parking space. Maybe I should have found out before, but my reservation was made in October. And they change rate in Jan. So I think they should have done something except saying company policy. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great weekend package, very helpful staff, easy parking! I had stayed at this Holiday Inn a few years ago and been happy, and thought I would give it another try. It is a great location in Georgetown, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We got a parking package so we could leave our car for 2 days in the HI lot. We just stayed one night and enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was not included, but it was reasonably priced, cooked to order, and delicious. Overall it represented a very good value for Washington, DC. Wish there had been a dvd player in the room as we had brought a movie, but ended up renting one from the hotel. Would definitely recommend, and stay there again myself. February 5, 2014

I requested a quiet room, in the back, and was put on a corner where 2 streets intersect. It was very noisey! I may not be staying there again. January 16, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room size too small for family of four Price (AAA rate) was reasonable for location at outskirts of Georgetown, Van service to Metro and other areas within Washington DC and Circulator bus stop across street very conveinent. Big negative is room with two double beds marketed for family of four is too small and bathroom has no space to hang used or wet towels. Narrow closet space and one three drawer dresser. Staff upgraded with impression of larger room, but, only added coffee maker and refrigerator. Breakfast pricey. January 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Welcoming staff with clean room and comfy bed The Georgetown Holiday Inn is perfectly located on Wisconsin, right at the edge of historic Georgetown, short walk to all and a quick car ride across M to Pennsylvania Ave. The Bar and Evening Restaurant are nothing to write home about...but honestly, you do not go to Georgetown to hang at your hotel bar. The neighborhood is historically rich with many sites to see. I would definitely stay there again, a true value and they had a handicap room for my 82 year old mom which made her stay more comfortable too:) January 4, 2014

But Georgetown HI is great place, clean, convenient, easy access, friendly, efficient, great breakfasts! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 POOR FOOD SERVICE CONTRARY TO SEVERAL PRIOR ACCEPTABLE STAYS, THIS YEAR'S CHRISTMAS VISIT WAS MEMORABLE DUE TO THE POOR QUALITY OF THE BREAKFAST FOOD SERVICE. aSIDE FROM THE CHRISTMAS MORNING BUFFET, THE TWO OTHER BREAKFASTS WE HAD WITH WAITTRESS SERVICE WAS QUITE AGGRAVATING; TOO LONG A WAIT, AND SPOTTY RESPONSE. WHY THE USUAL DAILY BUFFET WAS NOT AVAILABLE WE DON'T KNOW, BUT IF THIS IS A PERMANENT CHANGE IT IS UNLIKELY WE SHALL RETURN NEXT YEAR. SINCE OUR ROOM RATE INCLUDING BREAKFAST VOUCHERS, AND ALTHOUGH WE WERE REFUSED ANY CHANGE SO AS TO SEEK BREAKFAST ELSEWHERE, AND OUR CALLS TO THE HOTEL MANAGER WERE UNANSWERED, IT IS CLEAR TO US THAT WE RE-THINK OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS VISIT WITH OUR DAUGHTER IN D.C. He helped us save money with different locations as well as showed us around and checked in on us while we were out to ensure that we were not lost. Also, when we were out on the town, we had food that we needed refrigerated and he made sure that it was placed in the dining facility and take it out after 9;00p because we would not make it back to the hotel on time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful holiday trip! We planned to spend the night when picking our son up from GU for the Christmas break and do some shopping and sight seeing. I picked this hotel because it is so close to our son's townhouse. We were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. On check in we were advised that there was a water problem and we would have no water from 10 pm until 5 am. The staff gave us a room upgrade and plenty of bottled water and we never even noticed the issue, quite honestly. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel is very attractive with a nice clean modern decor. We took advantage of the book early rate, and received a very nice price. Even so, we will stay here again at the higher price. She was unwilling to change my room from a double to a single after I told her another company canceled at the last minute and I would not need two beds. She insisted I stay in the same room when I requested to have a 1 bed room and said "it's a good thing now you don't need to share the goodie bag." Ironically, the contractors for the maintenance provide better service. December 14, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly staff I stay here every 6 months and always get a warm welcome the minute I walk thru the lobby door usually from Zak. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful although the check in process does seem to take rather long. The room is very clean and the bed is so comfartable. The main asset to the hotel in my eyes are the staff in John F'sCafe who made my stay a memorable one this time round. I was looked after superbly by Angel,Diamond,Abi and especially Fabbienne,I was treated like one of the family. The room service was good and although I dont know them by name the staff always remember me,which is the same on reception. looking forward to my next stay in 6 months and I'm hopin it is still the same team so my stay will be just as enjoyable as this one. Well done one and all (for anyone reading this I cant really rate the value properly as my employer pays) December 11, 2013
