We asked if we could get into our room before check-in time, which was 4pm, one young lady said the best they could do was 2:30/3pm and we shouldn't have an issue. We came back at 3, asked if we could get in our room and a different lady said that the people in our room hadn't checked out yet, which check out was 12 noon. I told her that one of the other ladies said we should be able to get in our room, she said she never said that...dissapointing. Next morning I asked if any of the 2 pots of coffee in the lobby were decaf, the young lady came accross sharp and abrupt by just saying " nope", instead of apologizing that they didn't have decaf...very poor manors to be a host. As for location in the Georgeton area, within a mile of the river and the attractions. Restaurant was good food but a bit over priced, especially for breakfast! Hotel had a bar but when asked for certain wines, they didn't have it and bar tender seemed like he could care less if he was even there to work. Holiday Inn did offer a free shuttle to downtown and another to the Mall which was very helpful and the drivers were helpful and enjoyable to chat with. They gave us ideas of things to go see if we had time, they were very helpful and safe!

Me and friend were very pleased with the hotel. It' s location was ideal for our Washington activities and we had many surrounding food venues to choose from.

Rest service was terrible at night. Waitress was also doing room service. We had to wait a long time for service. Then after dinner we waited a very long time for our check. We didn't blame the waitress, the restaurant was understaffed. She was doing everything by herself.
The breakfast waitress TG was great very friendly and attentive. But she also was doing room service. The wait staff should attend to the dining room and someone else should deliver room service.
