Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Heating This locating and the staff were great in comparison to most in the D.C area. It was perfect for my business at the Department of Education. But the heating was horrible. The room had some type of motion sensor that only allowed the heat to run in 10 minute intervals. Even after the two members of maintenance work on the unit for an hour nothing changed. Even at night in 15 degree weather the heat only came on when I would wake up to use the restroom. This is not conserving energy! Fix the problem. February 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location, modern and clean We chose this hotel as it was central in Washington DC and competitively priced. The hotel was clean and modern and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little expensive for a family of four but there was lots of choice. You can explore DC on foot from this hotel due to its excellent location. The only negative; there is a train line at the back of the hotel and therefore noise during the night. February 26, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Value The Holiday Inn - Capital is an excellent value. I had a room for one person with a king size bed. The room was clean and a good size for the price, including a large shower (no tub), coffee machine and flat screen TV. Wi-Fi was available in my room. The hotel is conveniently located, just a block and a half from the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station and walking distance from the mall museums. The staff was pleasantly efficient, checking me in and out quickly and calling a cab that arrived within a few minutes of my departure. Since I did not eat at the hotel, I can't speak about the restaurant or room service. February 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great comfortable stay for great price Was able to check in very early and the parking was included with the package stay. Room service food was amazing and so was the staff. However I did not feel the same way at the restaurant in the hotel as the food took too long for being empty and the staff was not friendly. I would assume the staff is not part of the hotel. However, the staff from the hotel and location was fabulous. February 25, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location Great location to visit the Smithsonian with kids. All museums are in walking distance. Clean, bright, stylish rooms. Great staff. Decent price. Shame the breakfast is not included in price of room. Ate at hotel twice - food was very good. Bar food was best, but the noise level was incredible. Overall, good experience. February 24, 2015
