Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by PG73 Disappointed
From the first moment I entered the hotel to check in I knew that things were not going well as being told that the car park was not free as stated on the holiday inn web app, then when I asked if I could book breakfast for the morning and the price of £10 per person, then being told I had to pay in the morning!, on arriving for breakfast being told I had to pay £15 per person now as it wasn't booked in advanced!! Finally on check out taking approx 20 minutes as the staff didn't know how to print out a VAT invoice, as staff flapping around swapping dealing with me and moving on to other guests leaving me standing around, not to mention the guest who slipped over as the floor was being cleaned with safety signs being present, a very unprofessional hotel, the staff need retraining and training on customer services... And being woken up by works being carried out at 5 am, I have stayed in a lot of holiday inns throughout the country over serveral years and this is far below what was expected from such a brand very disappointed

I was woken up by someone running in the hallway in the middle of the night. Reported to reception. Bed was not made. Stripped bed to make ourselves and the sheets were not big enough for the bed. Then to add insult to injury we got woke up at 8 am on a Sunday morning due to someone in the hotel drilling and banging about. Reported to manager in morning, he said someone from customer services will ring me within 7 days this has not happened. I feel that the manager just paid me lip service in the morning when reported. I have tried and left message with next manager up in the chain of command and no one got back to me. Reception staff and do staff very friendly and well mannered. Bar was extremely expensive. Pool staff were also excellent

Very pleased with the room, included a bath with fast flowing hot water. room very cosy on a very cold February night with a Traditional controllable radiator rather than a noisy unit.
Best Holiday Inn room that I have been to for a long time. cannot fault the quality or service received. Highly recommended.

Having read the negative reviews before my trip I was not expecting a very good stay but I booked anyway due to the location. I need not have worried, despite being under renovation everthing was very good ,staff ,service, food, car parking, pool and even the room yet to be renovated.

Unable to use the shower due to no instructions.... isnt it about time the hotel invested in power showers? As we checked out the gentleman on reception advused us that a pulley under the tap would have changed from bath to shower!!! I appreciate the hotel is going through refurbuishment - but we used a rewards night for this stay...

Stayed recently when I took my mother to see Strictly Come Dancing at Wembley Arena. Warm welcome at reception - bright comfortable & clean double room. Lovely breakfast. A very enjoyable stay. My only negative comment would be that perhaps the hotel could have started dinner earlier that eve to enable the residents to eat in the restaurant before attending the show. Thoroughly recommended though.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WestMidlandsTravel Terrible hotel, terrible service.
Firstly the location of this hotel is superb if you are watching an event at Wembley Stadium. Unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say about it. This hotel is of very poor quality. The service is abysmal. It took an hour and a half to serve food, a steak baguette, chicken wings and chips. The rooms are disgusting, small, basic and smell horrible. The bathroom was very dated and a mess, only one towel and one toilet roll between two guests. This hotel is not to the standard I would expect from this hotel chain. There wasn't any recognition for priority members, not even a priority check-in. I find it offensive that this hotel increases its prices to the cost of sports fans, even more annoying for a Platinum member. The price has doubled for the England vs Scotland game. There is also no reward nights available for this match. I was charged a four star price for what I consider a two star hotel and service. Lets hope it improves when I return in August or it will be my last visit. And when will the rest of the UK catch up with Europe and offer free wi-fi (at least to its members).

We stayed one night to attend Wembely Arena which is about 5 minutes walk away. Hotel is in the process of being renovated but with minimum inconvenience to guests. Great and informative welcome at front desk and staff in restaurant could not have been more helpful or efficient. Good selection of food at breakfast.
Car park a bit tight but what can you expect in London - it is underground and secure.
This hotel is ideally situated for Wembley Arena and Stadium and only a few miles from the M4. We will certainly go back.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GaryH Tired mattress needs replacing
We had a very enjoyable stay with the exception of the mattress
in our room which was well past its sell by date - there was no support in the middle and both of us rolled together which prevented a good nights sleep . We told the reception the following morning and they were most aplogetic.. They assured us we should have called them in the early hours as they have a 24 hour service and the problem would have been resolved - perhaps this should have been explained to us at checking in time? Being told they would have assisted us in moving rooms in the early hours when you are tired and irritable was not high on our agenda at that time. Our concern was that the mattress would in fact be replaced to prevent anyone going through the same experience - particularly at that next evening England were playing Brazil at Wembley and the hotel may have been full.
There are renovations going on and there was drilling noise on what we presume was the floor above although it sounded like it was next door between 4pm and 5pm which was unpleasant. However, we were only there for one night and this point did not spoil our stay. One other critism is that the tea tray has to be caried from its location in the open shelving to the dresser table in the lounge area where a power supply is avaialble to use the kettle. These points aside, the room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable ( except the mattress ).
We had a meal in the bar which was very pleasant, although it did take some time between order and being served as the bar was very quiet.
We used the bar in the evening and the staff were efficient and polite at all times.
Breakfast was excellent in the quality and choice of food avaialble, everyything was kept in contant supply and above all the hot food from the buffet was still hot when you sat at youtr table. I would prefer to have had a pot/caftierre of coffe as refils from the one server were not frequent enough and we had to call him for top ups while the wife enjoyed a pot of tea.
I must add that all staf were polite and courteous at all times and as well as our room the public areas were very clean and tidy.
Although it was an unfortunate experience with the mattress, we would definitely stay here again and recommend to our family and friends

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Brom80 Not the best
For a hotel next to wembley stadium you would expect an up to date and well maintained hotel! For holiday in I am disappointed that the rooms were so poor, the tv was dated with limited channels and a very poor signal, the room light started buzzing after 5 minutes of been turned on and the double bed was just 2 singles pushed together. The staff was friendly but for the price I paid I expected more from the room.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by baillie2512 70's throw-back hotel !!
Without doubt the most dated hotel I have stayed in since Benidorm in the 70's. Black water running from the taps. A £20 heater from Maplins to "warm" the room. As a Gold Priority Member I was given a letter on check in to say "as a privelaged guest I had been upgraded to a high floor room" - My room was on the first floor, so I assume the normal guests stay in the basement.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by skyetraveller Great but can't wait for the refurb
My partner and I selected this hotel for a long weekend in London on Priority Club Rewards points as it has a swimming pool (which my partner rated very highly). It's only ten minutes out of central London on the Chiltern line from Marylebone, and two minutes walk from Wembley Stadium station so ideal if using public transport.
There's a major refurb going on at present so the top four floors were out of use at the time of our visit. The remaining rooms are looking a bit tired and although we had a room at the back away from traffic, we did have a noisy air con fan humming away all night just below the window. Apart from that, the room was fine but will clearly benefit from the refurb.
The restaurant and bar are great and meals are certainly not overpriced. A very good breakfast each morning with loads of hot and cold choices.
The thing that marks this hotel out, though, is the friendliness of the staff. Without a single exception, they were all cheerful, friendly, helpful and interested in us as people. Barry the chef came to our table after dinner on Friday to ask if the meal had been to our satisfaction (it certainly was!) and stopped to chat again one morning when he saw us. The chap who checked us in on Friday also checked us out on Monday and asked how our Sunday lunch cruise on the Thames had gone - full marks to him for remembering that little detail! I know the hotel was VERY quiet that weekend, but everyone made the time to make us feel special. Thank you and we'll certainly be back.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tilly111 excellent overall stay
I was a little worried when reading some reviews with regard to heating and refurbishment, so contacted hotel to make sure everything would be ok, especially as travelling with small children, they gave reasurance that everthing was ok, and they were right.
in fact rooms so warm we turned heating down, rooms very clean and tidy no noise from building work, a little from traffic but only to be expected being near a road and in london.
resturant excellent my grandson even spoke to chef and praised him on his chocolate cake.
reception and all staff we had contact with very friendly.
the only thing i did find was when going down stairs to swimming pool before breakfast they could have been cleaner, and families be aware there is stairs down to the pool after you have changed, dont let little ones run ahead of you.
this hotel is excellent for going to shows at wembly stadium or arena, would use again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Gemmab9139 Awful Hotel
we arrived on the 1st December and I had already paid the balance of the rooms before arrival. On arrrival I then got charged 100 pounds on top. This got quickly sorted and I got the money put back in my account although it took 2 days to happen. We went to see Michael Mcintyre at Wembley and when we got back to the room it was freezing! my husband went down to reception to ask if anything could be done where he was told that all the portable heaters were already out so nothing could be done. I slept with my clothes on and mine and my husbands coats on top of me with the blankets on top of that. When we went to check out in the morning I then got told I owed more money which I explained I had already been overcharged by 100 pounds and would not be paying. I highly recommend staying somewhere else the only plus to this hotel is location.

Fabulous we stayed after seeing Michael McIntyre at Wembley arena, it was a 5 minute walk no hassle to park as ample parking at hotel included in price.
The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was good and the level of customer service was outstanding. If we go to Wembley again I will be booking to stay again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Boxy Acceptable accommodation
We booked this when it was Hilton owned having used it previously as an ideal location for the Wembley Arena.
To be honest we thought our room was a looking a tad tired and in need of some major refurbishment bathroom wise in particular.
The room was near the lift shaft that audibly groaned in the room every time the lift was used.
Can't fault anything else though, comfortable bed, pleasant staff, good food at evening meal and breakfast.
To be absolutely fair, the hotel under Holiday Inn is currently undergoing a major refurbishment, so we will book again for our next show at the Wembley Arena and hopefully see some improvement in the accommodation.

Stayed there on 1st December 2012 after The X Factor semi-finals and the services was OK.
Our shower was stuck and was not able to turn the water on after turning off, breakfast was not included and the TV only had 8 or 9 channels with the rest of the buttons on the remote control not working.
Complained the next morning, a report was generated and that was it
I will not be back to Wembley again, we didnt know the hotel was under refurb until we got there.

Staff and food great unfortunately imformation does not state under refurbishment when booking which caused some uncomforts eg heater free standing in room which is of concern if you have kids. Also if you need newspapers ensure you emphasise which one , wrong one delivered both days we visited.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by KingPelican Ideal hotel for events at Wembley Stadium
We were in town for the American football game and chose the Holiday Inn due to its close proximity to the stadium. Above all else it was a safe and clean location and we felt comfortable walking the grounds to take photos for most of the day and into the evening. There are several quick food options within walking distance and a Tesco a block away for any needed supplies. The hotel food was good, but like most hotels a little pricey. Staff was very friendly and accomodating when we mentioned that the room was a little cold at night. They provided an electric heater which made our stay more comfortable.
Based off of my experience, I would have no concerns staying at the Holiday Inn again. Its an ideal location for Wembley events.
