Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bed was a little too hard but other than that excellent Stayed at this hotel from Oct 15th to Oct 16th. Really liked the layout of the hotel. Nicely Appointed. The staff very Friendly and helpful. The elevators were right in the lobby which scored bonus points with me. The room was smaller than the Holiday Inn I stayed at the previous night. I was only staying one night so that really wasn't an issue. The bed was kind of hard which made for a slightly uncomfortable nights sleep. There also the issue of the air con. It was right over the bed and I wasn't really able to adjust the temperature to my liking. There were plenty of complimentary toiletries and the shower was nice and hot with plenty of water pressure. The sports bar in the lobby had outstanding food. Great service and the best long island iced tea. The owner made it for me himself! Oh I forgot to mention the WI-FI. I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel that had a Wi-Fi signal that strong! I was on the top floor. I would definitely make this Holiday inn first choice if I had to go back to Columbia again. A little pricey, but not bad considering the hotel was full. I slept in a king suite, and they discounted the price of the room since it was all that was available. October 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room but terrible parking The proprty was great over all but the parking situation is not so convenient. ALL the up close parking spaces were marked for SPECIAL visitors. I can't remember just how many different categories there were for priviliged parkers. There was the usual handicapped but there was also, parking for car poolers, parking for alternate fuel vehicles or economical vehicles. I can't remember if there were others also but with all the special parking there were NO up close parking for the common man. I nothing against making special parking spaces for handicapped or needy parkers but I think it is going to far to make special spaces for the car poolers and alternate/economical vehicles. If they are so much better for the "environment" then why make the ones who aren't, drive farther for a parking space. Seems counter productive for the environment to me. October 7, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Uncaring Front Desk Manager Upon arriving at this hotel the parking lot, entrance and lobby were filled with drinking and drunk people. It felt very unsettling to bring my 3 young daughters through this group to check in. There was no explanation for this group. They were loud and obnoxious. After getting a good nights sleep in our room, which was very nice we complained to the Front Desk Manager about the situation. The response from the manager was oh well. We felt as though there was no concern for our unhappiness. After stating we didn't think it would be in the hotels best interest to have unhappy customers, the response was okay. Have a great day. The bed was comfortable and room, bathroom, hallways were very clean. Loved lounging by the pool side or taking a dip when it got too hot. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who'd like a hotel that offers great service and great value. August 14, 2014

Maybe because of the baseball team consuming most of the hotel. Very noisy with screaming kids in the hallway. We went in the hall and asked them to please stop running and screaming. They did stop. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by close to interstate I stayed here for 2 night for a wedding. I booked under a Gov't discount rate which was only $5.00 cheaper than the internet. I found out since I had a discount I could not have the free breakfast. I was upset. Around 30 of us had dinner at the hotel bar and it took over 3 hours for us to get our food. Only 1 waitress was working. My husband got sick from the chicken wings. They had a lot of people at this hotel but the pool was really really small so we didn't even use it. There were a lot of people at the pool drinking beer. The bed was comfortable, clean and a nice size room. I would stay here again but not book it with a Govt discount. Although, I don't know if the breakfast was any better than the dinner we had. July 30, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor value for area/Expensive breakfast I had to stay at this property for business as a last resort. The room was expensive and there was not free breakfast. For the amount of money the rooms cost per night, they should offer free breakfast at the very least! The staff were all very friendly and the property was clean and very modern. The restaurant was awful. I couldn't even eat the food I ordered as it was so bad. I had no idea you could ruin a club sandwich.... The server was very friendly and discounted my food even though I told her not to. It was obvious to me that the food was bad after I had ordered and tried to eat the food, as I saw some of the regulars at the bar go out and come back in with Little Caesars Pizza. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best stay Front desk person wasn't too helpful or friendly. Didn't recognize my platinum status. The bed sheets where uncomfortable. I think they where worn to thin and were rough. Also had a poor customer service experience at restaurant too. And food was not much better. I would definitely not stay here again. July 12, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor value Hotel is nice, clean and rooms are good. They sell soups and popcorn in the "store" but there is no microwave in the room to cook these? That was a bust. went to restaurant located in the hotel, (not sure if its actually affiliated) and waited ten minutes to be waited on even though no one was there. I got up and left, and drove to a restaurant. Only problem is that nothing but fast food restaurants are on that road. You have to get on highway and go to next exit. That was a bust. No complimentary breakfast as all others now do, including other Holiday Inn Express locations. Guess where you're sent for breakfast? To the restaurant that doesn't wait on you, and you pay. No coupons, or discounts for hotel guests. That's a bust. The "workout room" is two treadmills and an elliptical machine. That's it. That's a bust. Sorry, I stay out about 130 nights a year and use all types of hotels. Not a good value for the money. June 23, 2014
