Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice new hotel This is a nice new hotel. Everything was great. Staff was nice and was able to upgrade me based on my status. The only drawback is it can be a little challenging to get in and out of hotel and on to the freeway. February 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great place to stay I was very impress by the hotel, all my previous experience cannot compare to this place. I enjoyed the location, which ended up being only five minutes away from my conference. Their was a Waffle House right in front of the hotel and other food choices. I enjoyed my stay and hope to return to Columbia. Unfortunately, I may have made some friends who might provide over night accommodations. If this is not the case, I will come back to Holiday Inn. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel Overall A comfortable hotel with excellent attention from the staff. I have two issues and both relate to the restaurant. Firstly, there is no child's high chair, which seems quite remarkable in this day and age. Secondly, there was no fresh fruit option for breakfast. Again, something quite unusual these days. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bartenders I spent each week for the last 3 months at this property and was very pleased with the service, staff,comfort and location. I was upgraded to suites on a regular basis and after a couple of weeks the staff could greet me by name. The only issue was that I eat at the bar quite a bit and the bar service was going through a transition and the on-the-job training process was a little irksome. Food was above average for a Holiday Inn-type restaurant. January 12, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service I communicated VERY clearly when I arrived that I had 6 people - 4 little kids. They put us in a one-King bed room. Then, when I took all kids and stuff back down to get larger room for 6 (told them I would need a cot), we were put in double bed room. OK. I requested a cot via room phone, and was informed I could only get a cot in a handicap room. Obviously, customer service was not listening. Same type of customer service during the whole stay - asked about local restaurants and was given distant restaurants, not the closest ones (which happened to be better ones amazingly.)
