Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Roy83H Excellent beds,Clean room.
When making the reservation approximately ten days in advance I asked 'Not to be put next to the elevator'...Guess what ....next to the elevator!
It seem's that reception do not listen to what the hotel guests ask for even though I personally phoned the hotel directly to make the booking and avoided the toll free number.
Booked for two days but only stayed for one!
Perhaps the next time they will listen...hopefully!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hggh Great service
Jessica checked me in and was able to direct me to some great restaurants. She is excellent! The poor rating is based on the restaurant on site being closed and I do not recall that being mentioned on any of the conformation emails.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by John654321 Not the best stay of my travels
After a very long day of travel and work, I checked in, went up to my very plain room. (no microwave in the room but I understand the suites have them.) But anyhow got cleaned up went downstairs to get something to eat. As I walked down the hall to the restaurant I noticed the lights were off and it was about 5:30 PM on a Wednesday. I went to the front desk and asked the attendant what time the restaurant opened and her comment was "May 1st... If your'e driving there's lots of restaurants down the road." That was it... No warning on the site when I booked, no warning from the staff when I checked in, nothing in the room that I could see.
I didn't get a newspaper in the morning but as I walked down the hall at 8:30 AM almost every other room had a paper at it's door. As I left the hotel I stopped by and asked the front desk if there was a reason why I didn't get a paper this morning and he asked "Are you a PC member?"
I said "Yes, and the girl last night even made mention of it."
He said "I'm sorry, I'll make sure you get one tomorrow morning." But with little surprise I didn't. Again the staff offered as little information as possible.
I do not recommend this hotel for the business traveler, mall shopper, sure go nuts but business, never again. The staff didn't seem like they really cared if they were there or not, they don't give any extra effort.

WE were snowbound after the snowstorm and since our children were sick and we did not intend to stay in Edmonton we thought staying at the Holiday Inn would be best.
Once we reached the hotel, a cranky woman signed us in and was miserable. We were having problems with the credit card because we forgot to tell them we were out of town. she was unsympathetic. We forgot our CAA card and she bumped our rate. normally a great hotel became a nightmare.
this hotel got two thumbs down.

We had a great stay in a King Suite. Quiet, comfortable and cozy. We'll definitely be back.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MrsStacey Highly recommend this hotel!
I often stay at this particular Holiday Inn when in the City on business. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable, the facility is VERY clean and well cared for and I've found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Overall, the facility is quiet and conducive to resting, relaxing, or working.

I thought I try a Suites type Holiday Inn thinking I should get better service, etc. I always gotten "goodies bag" ( chololate bar, bottle of water, candies, etc.) for being a priority member but this hotel, nada. Fine, not a must but always nice to have a little treat.
Hi-speed internet... back in the 90s may be. But nowadays, it's like dial-up speed. Can't get any work done. Can't really surf the net.
Lots of room for improvements.... and they are mostly little things that can make customers happy.
