Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LifeInTheTetons Excellent Choice!
I phoned the hotel directly to make reservations for 2 rooms for a family visit. I requested an early check-in and upon arrival they were more than happy to accommodate us. The 2 cribs we asked for were in our rooms immediately.
The hotel common areas and the rooms were spotless! The towels were fluffy, the beds were so comfortable and the rooms are very quiet.
I had lunch in the dining room and we had dinner there as well. We were very happy with the menu choices, the food was delicious and the service was excellent!
The restored train is amazing and certainly a must see!
In the morning I asked for a late check-out, an hour beyond, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us.
Overall this is a 5 star property for West Yellowstone. We will definately stay there again. Many thanks to the staff!!

Beware of the $50 pet fee. I did not see it on the website when I registered, but the clerk told me that it is there.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family7 Everything we needed in one location!!
At this location for snowmobiling vacation with 12 other family members. Great breakfasts and overall satisfaction with the food. Only glitch was when we had dinner in the restaurant to redeem our coupon for the prime rib dinner on Monday, 2-4, we were told they were out of prime rib dinners. All were disappointed. We had planned to use them in the bar on Super Bowl Sunday but had been told the prime rib dinner could not be served in the bar that day.
It was great having the snowmobiles on site and all the gear readily available. Nice people to work with at the snow desk.

winterfun Outstanding winter vacation
I travel all over the country on business and this is a great facility to stay at for a vacation.
Steve at the front desk was a great help with checking in and answering questions about the area.
We rented a king suite with the oversize bath to warm us up after a 125 mile snowmobile ride each day and the room was great. Tons of comfy towels, very clean, very quiet.
The food was very good (bison pot roast and bison filet mignon - awesome) and not overly priced. The huckleberry pancakes (3) were HUGE and could have easily fed 2 people alone.
If you wanted to rent and ride a snowmobile you don't have to leave the building as they have a very nice rental service and have guided tours.
If you bring your own sled or parking a rental on the grounds, they have great lighting and you can access all the trails from the building or ride down the streets like everyone else.

We stayed two nights at Thanksgiving. There were lots of cross country skiers, but the staff handled everything in a competent, friendly manner.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Katie5 Overall a pleasant stay
The family room worked really well for us. We loved having the separte room for the little ones. The pool was small and crowded. The proximity to attractions and places to eat was not too bad. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
My children said that the beds were TOO fluffy. I guess they needed more back support. The beds were very soft.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by nancy01 is this a new standard for Holiday inns?
I sure hope not! I have been going to the Holiday Inn hotels for many years and the hotel in West Yellowstone is the worst I have ever seen. THe wall paper was peeling off the walls, the towels not only had holes but were fraying .The blankets were very thin. The breakfast tasted like plastic. The locks that secure the bldg were not working on both the side and back doors. I did not feel safe at all! When asked for an extra rack to put a suitcase and a blanket, I felt I was putting out the gentleman. The only thing good about this hotel is the location to Yellowstone National park but there are other hotel to choose from.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DB123 West Yellowstone
This hotel is in a great location, near the entrance to Yellowstone National Park, but it is also walking distance to the Discovery Bear Park and all other West Yellowstone attractions. So, close that I didn't ever eat in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and knew their business as well. It looked to have a great sports bar/cafe but being with the kids I didn't have the opportunity to sit, have a meal, and watch the weekend's games.
The rooms were clean and well kept. I prefer rooms that have a temperature thermostat and these rooms didn't have that option, instead utilizing temperature units that give you the option to dial in hot or cold--not as easy to figure out what the end temperature will be. After the first day we figured out the temperature and it was fine.
My kids loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi, although I am not a fan of indoor pools (a bit loud and the smell of chlorine...), I enjoyed it as well.
I would definitely choose this hotel again when in West Yellowstone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DenAliLove Great HI in West Yellowstone!
This HI is centrally located for easy walking to any place in town. Clean, comfortable, and worthy of the Holiday Inn name. We were upgraded to a king executive suite....perfect for our 3 day stay! The staff is extremely attentive and makes each guest feel welcome and special. The gift shop has a terrific selection, and on Pendleton items, their prices were even less than the same products in Jackson Hole, WY stores.
We highly recommend this location.
