Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Would not return I have a pet peeve about finding hair in a hotel room. There was a long dark hair on the side of the tub, clearly visible, when we arrived. When I moved the shower curtain, there were several more. There was also a very long dark hair on one of the pillows. I tried to call the front desk several times to get a clean pillow case. No one ever answered. We had to wait in the lobby a couple times for tours to pick us up. There were many guests complaining at the desk. It seemed like every time we passed the desk, someone had issues with their rooms or their bills. We did enjoy the breakfast buffet. August 13, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The bed was the good part. But the rest of the room needed to be updated. Tears in the lampshade and wall paper that was both poorly installed and needed replacing. Not a hotel I will be returning to any time soon. The hotel staff that checked us in was very nice but the restaurant service and staff left a lot to be desired. The house keeping person didn't replace shampoo and soap after cleaning. Good thing I had my own. I was in general disappointed in this hotel. August 11, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing We stayed in a king suite with a hot tub and a suite with sofa bed and king bed (6 of us). The staff were generally not well informed. The young girls had to keep referring to the supervisor for everything. It was far too expensive and definitely not value for money. The sofa bed were very uncomfortable. When you pay more than $300 a night (for one suite), you don't expect to find an uncomfortable sofa bed. We asked if we could swap for a room with two queen (which is cheaper than a suite), none was available. August 7, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Intercontinental hotel ever! I booked two STANDARD ROOMS for my family when I was planing our trip to Yellowstone. When we arrived in the hotel, we were assigned a one-bed bedroom and a "Murphy Room", which is basically the same with a one-bed bedroom. Since the rooms we were given did not meet the room type I booked, I asked the front desk for two two-bed bedrooms. You can never what The answer they gave me: "a standard room means that we can assign any type of room to you. It can be one-bed. It can be two- bed." Wait a second, why didn't you give me a suite?! I slept on a squeaky sofa bed for two nights. It was painful, horrible, unacceptable! And what was more, we were not the only ones who suffered bad management and fraudulence. I heard other guests complaining about wrong room types and terrible sofa beds at the front desk. And they got the same answer as mine: "we are fully booked. You may come back to us tomorrow and see if we have any other type of room available." Holy Jesus Christ! I chose to stay in West Yellowstone because it is closer to the touring spots, and I chose Holiday Inn because I had always trusted the brand. But this time, it failed itself. August 6, 2013

Hotel was very covenant to the park and easy in and out. This is the place to stay to visit the park. I have been here 3 times over the years and will continue to use this location when I visit the park. August 3, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Messed up my reservation I reserved a 2-room suite with 2 bathrooms for 6 adults. There was only one bath. They had given the one with 2 baths to someone else. They lowered the price after I pointed out the problem, but not that much and it was very difficult for 6 adults to get ready in the morning. The building itself appears to be upscale from the normal Holiday Inns. August 2, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the usual excellent experience I receive from Holiday Inn I reserved a first floor 2 queen bed non smoking. I was not booked in a first floor room. Front desk person had me go to my car to get my reservation for proof. Was eventually accommodated but ended up moving due to a screaming baby next door (can't be helped) but after only being in that room for 5 minutes was asked if I had dirtied the room already. Moved to a nice room on 3rd floor but the AC was not working, the room service dishes were never cleared and our housekeeping service was awful. I usually have a good experience with Holiday Inn but for what this location charged per night it was pretty awful and I wished I had chosen to stay somewhere else. The restaurant food was good but quite pricey. July 27, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff & Service Just returned from our trip to Yellowstone N.P. What an awesome place! The hotel was comfortable and the room was big enough and kept very clean by the staff. Maids did a tremendous job of cleaning the room, providing plenty of towels, and re-supplying all necessary toiletries. The front desk was always very helpful and friendly as well. The furnishings in the room were nothing spectacular but comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. Additionally, the rooms do appear to be routinely updated with regard to the furnishings. The only con I have is the restaurant is not very good. There are definitely better restaurants in West Yellowstone. Overall, I would recommend and certainly stay here again! July 26, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My Yellowstone Experience We spent 2 nights at this property. They put us way on an end on the 3rd floor to make things quieter. The first night was great. The room was very, very large. And the beds were very comfortable. We had a great night of rest. The second night was quite different. They put a drunken party in multiple rooms right next to us. I had to call 3 times to get the hotel to handle the situation. On the second call they told me they didn't know what to do. I would think an organization this size would have standards set to handle such situations rather then telling customers they don't know what to do. I really expected more considering what we were paying each night. July 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by staff and house keeping From the first night we arrived, we were treated like a guest in a hotel. Steve was on duty and he took good care of us. We spent one night in one room and when we returned from our next day's tours our suitcases were in our new room and it was ready for us. The house keeping staff was very helpful to us when I took ill and she came in cleaned up our kids beds etc and was very quite while I was in the other room. With four girls extra towels were needed and they always took good care of us. There was a slight mix up when I prepared to check out the evening of 4 July. The lady on duty told me I owed you $1700+ dollars for my stay. I tried to explain that HI had taken this amount from my checking account already and I should owe nothing. I told her I would go back to the room to get proof and when I returned she was busy so I spoke to Steve and he reviewed the computer and discovered the error, I had paid out of my checking via debt card when I booked the room back in January. The money was debted to my account on April 17. Steved striaghten it out and all is well. I would stay with your Inn the next time I come to West Yellowston. The family was not thrilled with your food service. The food was undesireable and tastless and cold. Breakfast buffet was cold eggs, cold biscuits, cold watery gravy. After two attempts to eat there we found other resturants to dine at. Sorry, but you want the truth. Also service as slow in waiting on us each time. July 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk, No mention of Priority Club, restaurant, room keys Dillon was unable to provide early check in as requested when reservation made. Did not identify group as Priority Club members. Told to buy water or go to bar to get water instead of offering bottled water prior to check in. Keys did not work after one use and had to get new keys daily. Eggs had shells in them. Waited three hours for check in and no priority placed on checking on room. At change of shift the next shift finally tried to check on room. Spoke to manager the next day to make her aware of this check in issue. Did not feel Dillon was customer friendly or aware of Priority Club check in process. July 10, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good Hotel, poor restaurant Arrived here as refugees from an awful hotel in the park which we left after being there less than 2 hours. Great reception service from Beth who fixed us up with a room for 4 nights at very short notice.. Really comfortable large room, well maintained and with good housekeeping. Laundry service from the contractors second to none with shirts put out at 11am and back before our return at 7pm. Very good base for visiting the park. The Branch restaurant was poor. Staff not even trained in opening a wine bottle, the host at the restaurant reception acted like she couldn't care less about customers and the poor waitress was run off her feet whilst the food was just about acceptable, nothing more. Eat elsewhere every night after the first with lots of good choices in town. Would definitely stay here again but would avoid the restaurant. July 7, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Service was very slow. Although we booked our room last September we arrived to find it had been given to another client who had "decided to stay another night". We had to go into another room (not the same as we'd booked) for 1st night. Given a voucher for steak dinner as compensation only to find restaurant full, had to wait 1/2 hour & then they had run out of steak! We were not the only people who had trouble getting into their room either. We are Priority Club members & have found on checking our account that we received no points for our stay. The girl was friendly at check in, but the hotel was not up to Holiday Inn standards. It was run down, and has not been updated in some time. We ate at the restaurant, and the food was not good. They said they had run out of tea, and did not offer to make more. The next morning I tried to buy coffee in the gift store, and they said the machine was broken. This is not what I see Holiday Inn being. I do not recommed this place to anyone. We only stayed one night due to the poor conditions, and service. June 18, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff... The hotel staff was excellent. The room and hotel interior were fine. Internet service wasn't great, but I was told (by hotel staff) this is a problem throughout the town. I did not use the restaurant. This hotel (as well as most, if not all, hotels in West Yellowstone) is very near the park entrance. (Note that the main attractions of the park, geothermal features, such as Old Faithful, are about 45 minutes from this entrance by car assuming no traffic. Major wildlife areas are about 3 hours, though you will see some wildlife such as bison within minutes, and some elk near sunset) One might expect that a hotel near a national park would have beautiful views, etc. That is not the case with this hotel. It overlooks parking lot, etc. There are no great views. If planning an early spring visit, be sure the park will be open before confirming travel plans. Priority club platinum recognition was minimal (as I recall breakfast bar and water). Ron June 5, 2013
