Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Whistler The room was clean and large. However, they only had a window air conditioner unit which was very noisy and did not work very well. We wanted to have it on as it was warm on the fourth floor but it was too noisy to have on while watching TV. Also the entrance to our side of the hotel was dingy. It could have used a cleaning and a little fancier foyer to the elevator. However, this side of the hotel was nice and quiet (no street noise). August 14, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by an OK hotel for a short stay We stayed one night and that was enough for us. The hotel staff were very friendly and being in the village, the hotel is in a great location. The hotel needs some serious updating so that it can match the feeling and vibe of the village. The elevators were awfully dirty and the stand alone air conditioner in the room was very loud and inconsistent. I would also like to see express checkout so that I don't have to go to the front desk to check out as the hotel is a bit of a maze to get around. August 11, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by When is a bedroom NOT a bedroom....? The answer: when the hotel calls it a 'den'. We stayed at the Whistler Holiday Inn and it was the worst hotel experience we've ever had. Hot days and hot, airless nights!! The 'den studio' consisted of a living area/kitchenette with a window a/c unit that couldn't keep the room cool; plus a closet bedroom with no windows. The 'bedroom' measured 7' x 11' with barely room to move around the bed. It was claustrophobic, hot and no air flow. My wife ended up sleeping on the kitchen floor for 2 nights! The hotel has no amenities (except a hot tub and bike storage!). No breakfast, pool or common meeting area. For a Holiday Inn, we were extremely disappointed and would never stay at this hotel again. We were moved to a new room that smelled and the AC did not work, the chair had holes in it that had been patched up. We were told we couldn't move hotels because it was inside the 24 hour windown and were only given a 10% discount. Very disappointed. August 6, 2014

Great to be able to do laundry in our room prior to trip home. Hot tub and exercise room were across a public court area. There was no pool. August 6, 2014

The room description indicated Murphy Bed when reserved and we ended up with a corner room and Sofa Bed. I have slept on Sofa Beds before and this one was obviously WAY past its useful life. This is really a room for 2 adults and 2 young kids. August 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Village at the door I took my visiting family members to this hotel and found everything excellent I found the layout hard at first with the checking in desk at the back and the Village but the signage was good and all was great The rooms were clean and comfortable with everything you need from dishes toaster and all I would definitely recommend this hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great day in Whistler I stay at this property on a regular basis and will continue to do so both for summer and winter travel. The staff is always helpful and the property is always clean and comfortable. I rated the sleep quality as poor as we had a room that faced onto the Village walkway. This was a mistake as the noise from the idiots getting out of the pubs into the early morning was not impressive. This is not the fault of the property or the staff! The location is super as it is right in the village close to shopping and a liquor store. The downside is if your room faces the village, you suffer from the inconsiderate people who get loud when they are drunk. I will definitely stay at this property again, but will request a room that faces away from the village. July 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay Overall our stay was very good; although, there were a few details that could have improved our stay. Our room was not equipped with air conditioning, but instead, just had fans. Also, we had five people in our party, so we booked a two-bedroom suite; however, only one bathroom was available in our suite. Given the sofa bed and murphy bed in the suite (in addition to the two double/queen beds), the room could theoretically accommodate 8 people, so it's surprising that there was only one bathroom. Additionally, as the hotel occupied a few buildings, getting around was not always so clear cut. That said, our room had ample amount of space to spread out. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by lots of noise lots of noise from outside finally ended about three in the morning had a couple of small windows in the room had to leave them open as the air conditioner was some little Danbey unit that was as loud as the outside noise so needless to say got very little sleep this is the worst Holiday Inn we have ever stayed in,really showed its age. However we did not encounter any problems in our short stay, and found no reason not to go back again if the opportunity presented itself that we had to be in Whistler for any other event. Both friendly and genuinely concerned our needs were met. The room was very satisfactory. The only draw back to the room was the bed. I fear it was nearing the end of its life expectancy. It was a deficiency that we were able to overlook given all the other positives surrounding the hotel. Great staff . July 4, 2014
