Staff was great! The bed was comfortable, but I didn't find the extreme height very convenient. Would love to see a microwave and fridge in every room. Restaurant food was great! Need to have staff at the host(ess) counter at all times. With no visible staff, potential customers leave. Maybe a discount breakfast could be included with the room.

Golden retriever nationals in town during my stay. While I am a lover of dogs, i don't think they belong in a hotel. I was "upgraded: to the presidential suite, I appreciate the thought, but the room was out of date and not clean.
I saw a few animals urinated on the floor and the owners were irresponsible and did not report it to the front desk. If they let that happen in the front lobby, what do you think went on in individual rooms?

Out all things that could have went wrong that day it seemed everything did , so to finally get to the Hotel first of all the front deck personal Djuana was with smile and welcome and very perfectional and helpful she is a plus to this company thanks for comfortable room and a good rest after a trying day Thanks Djuana.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 A " tired" hotel.
This hotel is in need of renovation. Second floor around elevator had strange odor.....A complimentary breakfast would have been a nice amenity , considering cost of room...Coffee was supposedly available in lobby, but it was not available early mornings, which would have been nice for those who have early morning flights...Close to airport is about the only thing that is positive about a stay here...Although it was clean,it is not up to what I would call up to "Holiday Inn standards" . If I am ever back in Wichita Falls, I won't be staying here.

I cannot even begin to state the amount of problems I have bought this hotel. Upon arriving for my first night I had to wait about 10 minutes for hotel staff to come to the front lobby to check me. The reason being was their hotel staff was inside some side room watching YouTube videos. Then when I was checked in and entered my room I noticed stains covering the ceiling that was a popcorn style ceiling with parts of the popcorn falling off. I then went to use the workout facilities and half the machines in the room were broke. On top of that the air conditioner in the room was broke and it was over 85° in the fitness center. That next morning I checked out thinking I was going to leave town and noticed later that I had left an item in the room. It took 17 attempts for the hotel staff to answer the phone and when they did answer I was immediately placed on hold. I was on hold for so long it was quicker for me to drive 20 minutes from my place of work to this hotel to figure out why I was on hold for so long and where my item was. When I arrived I had to wait in line another 15 minutes before being able to speak with somebody. When it was finally my turn I asked why I was on hold for so long and her response was I forgot about you. They ended up disposing of my item which was a personal item and I'm very upset. I needed to stay another night in town and tried calling other local hotels to see if they had occupancy which they didn't so I was stuck staying here for a second night. At this point my second room had the same problem with the interior ceilings and then I noticed all the hallways have the same problems. There were kids running up and down the halls yelling and screaming and nobody seem to really care. This hotel is old rundown broken and I would highly suggest never staying here. I stay over 230 nights in hotels per year and this is by far the worst I've ever stayed in.

We stayed for 9 days while attending our son's wedding. We booked the Rehearsal Dinner and the brides father booked the Reception Dinner there as well. Both were events to be remembered. The food was great, but most importantly the staff was outstanding, from the Catering Manager, to the Food and Beverage Manager, the Chef, the front desk attendant, the dining room staff and housekeeping, everyone bent over backwards to ensure the events were a success. Every turn we were asked if we need anything! Thanks Misty, Chauncey, Andrew, Krista. Michael, Beth, and Dujann - Front Desk Attendant (I hope I spelled her name right), I usually stay at the Hampton or Fairfield Inn, my next visits I will reside at the Holiday Inn at the Falls.

After working 11 hrs. arrived at 6pm. Sent to room that was undone, sheets on floor, door ajar. Returned to front desk with luggage in tow and front dest staff stated they thought room was clean. Was offered a drink ticket instead of another room! Told to wait 20 minutes to have room cleaned. 30 minutes later I went to front desk to inquire on room status. Had been in lobby in full view of staff during my wait. Offered free dinner but I did not want to wait 35 minutes. WAIT, that was another time..
Got to room 6:45 pm, ready to relax with my Mac, no internet service. Connected with front desk after 3rd try, they connected me with internet tech by phone. 7:15 pm, no luck so tech made a service ticket promising someone would call back. Wanna guess if I got a call back? Overall lousy night. Am priority elite but did not feel special that night.

Very clean and comfortable and secure.
Dining room waitress very accommodating.
Note to cook..a chef's apron does not a chef make. Empty dining room and there was a reason why.

Having read the reviews on the site I wondered if we had made a mistake booking a room. We didn't. The personnel took excellent care of us. The restaurant people were attentive and cordial. We will stay again next year.

Overall our stay was exceptional. Our only complaint would be that the hallway carpets are stained and look pretty nasty. The room on the other hand was beautiful and the staff friendly and the food at the restaurant was very good for the price although we weren't totally impressed with the morning breakfast buffet.. The eggs were cold .But we went there for supper and had a delicious meal, so maybe order off the menu next time. We loved how convienent the motel was to getting on and off the major roads and the proximity to the falls. I would stay here again

While the room was very well maintained and clean, overall the stay was below par with what we have come to expect from the Holiday Inn chain. The pool area was full of children who were allowed to run amok, and with the way they were acting it was as if they were related to the hotel staff. The hot tub had grout and rock chips in it and part of the tile is falling off the wall. The pump wasn't working and the pool floor was gritty. There were adults in the pool area with glass beer bottles. We will not stay at this Holiday Inn again.

I enjoy staying at Holiday Inns and Expresses. I stay at both facilities in Wichita Falls routinely, 6 plus times a year. This is the first time that I have stayed at the Holiday Inn at the Falls and ever had a complaint. And the complaint is not about the hotel specific.
The complaint is about the other guest at this hotel on this stay, and their animals. I don't think I ever realized before that this facility was pet friendly, mainly because I had never seen nor heard an animal. This time there were pets with owners in the parking lot when I arrived, pets in the lobby with their owners, even pets on the elevator of which I have no problem. But when I got to my room I could hear distinctly a dog barking. This went on for over one hour when I decided to explore and see where the noise was coming from and if I could possibly ask the owner to work with their pet. When I got to the room, (8 doors from mine) I realized the owner was not in the room with the pet, probably why they were barking. A note from another guest was stuck to the door asking the owner to work with the animal too. The note indicated the animal had been barking for over one hour as well. Don't know what time the note was left.
I called the front desk, told them of the situation and they apologized and said they would see if they could find the owner. Within 10 minutes the animal never barked again.
I do not know what happened nor where the owner was, but the staff took care of the situation. All this to say, maybe a policy about not leaving pets in the room alone is needed. May already have one, I don't travel with pets so I do not know.
Thanks for letting me rant basically. I would recommend this facility and I will stay again.

At breakfast on Saturday moring the restaurant was not staffed and was not being managed. The buffet was not replenished during the 45 minutes we were there. We ordered from the menu but the waitress/seater/busser did not take our order until fifteen minutes after we sat down. It took another fifteen minutes for the food to be brought out. The restaurant was not full. We had to serve ourselves juice and no refills were offered. The only lady was waiting tables, seating people, busting tables, greeting guests, running the cash register. She had one helper that was also busting tables but that is all he did. Despite the obvious strain, Susan, managed to keep a happy face and was courteous to us. But the hotel management should have recognized that Saturday morning breakfast would be busy and have planned for appropriate staffing.
The carpet & furnishings are dated. The air conditioner ran 90% of the time and the outside temperature was not that hot. The room did stay cool though. The office chair in the room is worn and probably should be replaced.

We were lucky to get a room for the weekend as there was a major bicycle race in the town and all rooms were booked. However, the rate we paid was outrageous for a poorly kept hotel. What seemed like the Front Desk Manager had a "come to me" attitude not a "How can I help you?" attitude. The person that actually checked me in was very nice and helpful but when I needed something else the female manager was not very helpful.
Carpet is old and room a/c didn't work properly and was noisy. I couldn't complain because all the rooms were booked and the front desk manager had told the person waiting on me (no changes to any rooms). I was disappointed we did not have a refrigerator too. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again - I would stay at the other Holiday Inn in Wichita Falls which was newer and much more friendly and had free breakfast.
A disappointed Platinum Elite member! But still a loyal Holiday Inn Customer!

First, water problems. No hot water = no showers. We were told that the welder was working on fixing the problem and that they anticipated the water problem would be fixed. It was not fixed. Cold water was the only water available. Free breakfast was offered but we were afraid to eat in the restaurant without hot water for sanitary purposes. The hotel needs work and needs to be cleaned up. Felt dirty. The exhaust fans in the pool area did not work making it really miserable to sit by the pool. The ceiling on the floor where we stayed was falling down. The walls in the room had cracking sheet rock and were deteriorating. The spa in the pool area had no water. We were given a discount for the room because of the water problem. We should not have been charged. They still charged approx. $60.00 per room and we had two rooms. Had we known the extent of the issues, we would have stayed somewhere else. This was by far one of the worst Holiday Inns we have ever stayed in and we are Platinum Priority Club members. We have stayed at our fair share of Holiday Inns. Completely disappointed.

WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL SEVERAL TIMES AND EACH TIME WE ARE HAPPY WE DID. IT'S LOCATION IS VERY CONVENIENT (RIGHT OFF 287), THE FRONT DESK STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY, AND THE ROOM IS ALWAYS CLEAN. YES, IT IS OLDER, BUT YOU WILL GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP!
IT ALSO HELPS THAT IT IS PET FRIENDLY.

We never wanted to leave the room it was so cozy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the service was wonderful. Would stay here again. We were able to get great nights sleep away from home which is sometimes hard to do.

I attended a weekend conference at this facility. The rooms were nice, the facility has the amenities you would hope for. However, it was under staffed the weekend I was there. Check-in was slow because there was only one person on the front desk. The breakfast buffet was good, but they were out of eggs when I arrived and never provided a new batch during the 20+ minutes I was there. There was only one, very over-worked waitress for a full room full of guests. The food service for the evening banquet was unsatisfactory. There was reportedly an oven break down which resulted in one set of dinners being served while the second choice was an hour late. Neither was very good. Even the first dinners were served late. But, there were other indications of lack of management. The tables were not properly set...no salt and paper sets or sweeteners until we asked for them.
Overall, this hotel would be fine if there were better management which provided for adequate, trained staff and better food service.

We left behind a very important item - my husband's diabetic testing supplies...when we noticed they were missing, we were already in the Dallas area the next night...but one telephone call to the front desk affirmed that the supplies had been turned in and the staff was willing to hold until later in the week when our daughter would be a guest at your hotel...supplies were there for her on her arrival and they have now been returned to him. Thanks to the front desk staff. And - the tall blonde lady at the desk in the evening (did not get her name) guided our selection of a steak house which turned our to be superb. Thanks.
