A great stay. Room perfect for our needs almost. Only thing missing was an in room safe. Use of business centre was valuable. Food pretty average bit service was great. Laundry room useful but need to keep detergent dispenser full. Also need to ensure towels are tipped up at pool.

We had stayed previously in Williamsburg at a competitor's hotel and found that your hotel was far superior especially in that we could not hear people in the hallways or next door. After driving 12 hours to get there and having to drive back in a few days, we had a horrible experience at the other hotel where we were woken up by loud noise and laughter from other rooms. Then when we called to the desk no one answered (someone was asleep).
At your hotel , however, it was very quiet ...you could not even hear flushing from other units and I was impressed that although we had to leave prior to 5 am. someone was bright and cheery at the front desk, which made me feel very good about security.
Needless to say, we will be staying here again since our son is attending a nearby college, it will be our hotel of choice. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was fabulous, and it was very clean.

I felt the bed was to soft other than that the service was great their are two staff that that work in this Hotel their name's are Bert and Kirt one works in the dinning and bar area [ Bert ] and Kirt works the front desk they truly make you fell at home great IPC skill's I will be going back thanks to the staff and the clean room

We booked a suite and had a wonderfully spacious room, with a walk through lounge area with sofa bed and own TV, then a bathroom and into a bedroom with a king-sized bed and another TV. My son was thrilled! All absolutely spotless. Fabrics were modern. Everything smelled clean. Breakfast was very busy as it was a holiday time. Buffet for $10.95. Kids 12 and under eat free. Very good value. Friendly staff and lots of restaurants within a short drive. Thank you.

Room and property overall (lobby and other areas) were clean and free of worn signs. We had a double queen suite, which is very ideal for family with young kids. When the kids slept on a seperate room early, the adults can still watch TV or chat. Swimming pool is decent but the water was not as clean as we expected. Location was quiet and convenient. Breakfast was decent for the price.

Overall our experience was very good however upon check-in
the clerk assigned us to a room that had no relationship to the
one we booked and had confirmed. Upon presenting paperwork
on the room we were supposed to be assigned to a second
clerk we then were assigned the right room - The Hydrangea
Suite. The one staff individual that deserves loads of credit is
The Front Desk Manager who in essence "made our trip".
We thank that person and feel you have the 'RIGHT PERSON"
in the "RIGHT JOB". The suite was GREAT!

My experience at Holiday Inn was wonderful! It was centrally located and easily accessible to all areas that we were visitng. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and large enough for a family of four. The only complaint I would have is that the shampoo and toiletries were very small and there was no body lotion or shower caps - other than that I would easily stay at this hotel again.

Thank God for you all! I took my family to Williamsburg for a Celebration Weekend. The originally planned Hotel we stayed in was beyond......beyond terrible. Dirty room....unmade beds and "Things floating in the toilet"!. I transferred to the Holiday Inn and was pleasantly surprised about the stay. The receptionist.... and I must name her...."JAN" made my horrible beginnings turn into the best Weekend I've had in years! She was above and beyond the representative of true customer service. She made it a point to take care of us after explaining what happened earlier at another Hotel. Please....please promote this lady....give her a raise or just even a bouquet of roses......she deserves them all! The Hotel was great and I recommend the stay to any and everybody going to Williamsburg for any reason. Love you Jan!

I highly recommend Holiday Inn Williamsburg-Historic Getaway, especially if you have kids. This was an "upscale" hotel that was family friendly. Check in was prompt and courteous. I believe it was Jan who checked us in and she was very helpful with plenty of information pertinent to my family's needs. Rooms were clean and comfortable. My two sons, ages 9 and 12 had a great time in the pool and really enjoyed their stay as well. I wish we could have stayed two nights but we were not able to afford it as well as a day at Busch Gardens. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Williamsburg.

Front desk staff was not naturally helpful or friendly. Upon checking in, I inquired about the complimentary breakfast I had been led to believe I was entitled to by the reservationist clerk at the 800 number, I had to refer to my confirmation form where it indicated a complimentary breakfast. Even then the male clerk was very reluctant to honor. They didn't make me feel very welcome or appreciated as an IHG member.

I enjoyed my time at Holiday Inn. The suites was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We are a family of five and we didn't have a problem sleeping in the suite. The mini fridge was a plus along with the microwave. My kids enjoyed the stay and the pool. The staff were always pleasent and willing to help. Whenever I am in Williamsburg, Virginia I will make this my first choice. I will be returning with kids to this Holiday Inn and suites in October for Hallow O Scream in Bucsh Gardens.

This is the second time we booked this specific location for a 5 night stay and once again had a great experience. I have a family of 6 and the suites are a great value for us. The property is clean, the food is great at the Bistro 510 restaurant, the pools is relaxing and is idealy located less than 15 min to everything in Williamsburg with easy access to surrounding areas. My kids were excited to hear we were coming back to this hotel after 2 years. Would recommend this specific property to all, especially for a large family looking for a great value.

Thanks to Jan who helped me, my husband, and our two young sons check into a beautiful, comfortable room. We arrived on your doorstep tired, after a very long drive into Williamsburg, terribly dismayed at the condition of the other hotel (not a Holiday Inn brand) that we had previously arranged to stay in. Jan took us under her wing and saved our vacation in Williamsburg! This is a newer, really nice property. Quiet, with comfy beds, and clean. It is very conveniently located to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA -- everything is easy to get to. I really liked the road (Bypass) this hotel is situated on, because it is not as crowded as some of the other more "touristy"-feeling roads we drove down. Just a really nice property and nice people who work here. My husband enjoyed having a beer and talking to the bartender, Valentino. Thank you!

We were really impressed with Holiday Inn! We were upgraded to a suite since we had an extended stay. The staff was more than accommodating. They were very helpful with our trip's itinerary. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. If there was something we couldn't find, they made sure they got it for us! We would highly recommend it!!

Our two night stay at the Williamsburg Holiday Inn was flawless. We had a very late nite arrival which was expedited at check in by a most courteous and helpful lady at the front desk. Our adjoining rooms were immaculate, comfortable and nicely appointed. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings and were quite pleased with both the quality and value of food and service. All aspects of our stay exceeded expectations. I am a Priority Club member and have stayed at numerous Holiday Inns and associated hotels over the past 40+ years. This one might very well be among the top five or so that I have experienced. If ever in or around the Richmond/Williamsburg area, this stop is worth even driving a few miles out of your way for a nights stay.

We had an emergency and needed to head quickly to our son who is at Langley AFB. We did not have a hotel reserved. I called the Holdiay Inn and spoke to Jan. She was simply AMAZING! She really helped us out when we were in a pinch. After our experience there, we are coming back in August for a week. You don't get service like Jan offered us very often.

My family (wife and 2 kids aged 2 and 6) stayed at this Holiday Inn over the 4th of July weekend. We do not typically stay in Holiday Inn hotels and prefer Hiltons. That said, this was a very nice hotel and very family friendly. It seemed to be one of the newer properties in Williamsburg as it was very modern and clean. There is a buffet breakfast that is decent and reasonably price. It is also close to the theme parks and the Colonial section of town. I would recommend this hotel to another family.

This was our 4th time staying at this location...
Breakfast was not worth the price, the new female chef was awful, her attitude definitely needs a tune up.
When the fire alarm went off at 6am on Tuesday morning, I exiting the building with my daughter and stood outside waiting for someone to tell me that everything was ok, instead I had to go back into the hotel to find out it was a false alarm..
The bee situation outside the hotel is terrible, we fought them off everytime we left the hotel. 3 bees entered our vehicle when we were packing up to leave, I can't even imagine what would have happened if I got stung driving home. Everytime we spoke about the bees at the hotel, the hotel staff responded with "you should see how bad it is across the street " this is not something new, because it's been this way since our first visit..
I was also shocked when the maid allowed a stranger to view our suite while we were in there... I did speak with Jeff and he said he would speak with her. We truly appreciated the upgraded room, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean, kids loved the pool, staff was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was great, we ate it each day. Children eat free all meals. We will stay there on our next trip to Williamsburg.

The hotel was very safe, very comfortable and have up to date ammenties. I was very pleased to see what they offered here.
The rooms were VERY VERY clean. I actually stayed at another IHG property down on Virginia Beach & even though VB hotel had alot more to offer for children and it was directly on the beach nothing compared to the size of the rooms on Bypass Road and their cleanliness. I was very happy.

I took my family here for three nights while on a short leisure trip to Williamsburg. We normally try to stay at places slightly less expensive, but our typical places were full, so I went with the Holiday Inn, and I booked with a corporate rate code available through my employer. Even with this, it was about 35% more than we typically spend. For this, we did expect a little more.
The place was nice, but nothing more than we get with our other usual places. In fact, I had to deal with a few things immediately upon arriving. With my rate/reservation, complimentary breakfast was to be included. When I mentioned that at check-in, the clerk was confused. I told him it was part of my reservation, and when he doubted it, I showed him the email confirmation, where it was stated plainly. He then gave me some vouchers, but seemed a little bothered by it. Once in the room, I also had to call for a replacement lamp (broken, wouldn't turn on#, and the mini-fridge was not cold #they remove the adjustment knobs and it was turned all the way down). They took care of these things promptly. Restaurant area each morning was very busy and the staff seemed very flustered -- surprised me that they seemed unprepared. Because of this, I felt the treatment to the guests was also affected, since the staff was less than pleasant. This place was fine, but I would call it only average, and that was disappointing, considering the higher cost than other places.

I could go into detail about every aspect of our stay but as there is nothing about which to complain, I just want to applaud the staff here. I found this at many IHG hotels but it was certainly the case here as well - when one member of the team can't help you, another immediately will. Unlike some other hotels, the lines defining job positions are allowed to merge a little - so that no guest is ever left waiting for the "right" person to answer their questions.
We needed to know whether we could walk to the historic section for a "ghost tour" - and were advised that it would be very dark and unsafe to do so (quite correct as we discovered coming back afterward). Also, because of a terrible experience at another chain the night before (which we'd been compelled to use because all IHG hotels in the area were booked long in advance), we had to cancel upcoming reservations with that chain in Fairlawn and Buffalo... I'd not brought any ID with me to the desk but the desk clerk was happy to book rooms for us as replacements using the information on file for my room - and confirmed that she had done so when we checked out an hour later. This saved us so much time!
Thanks - and we'll definitely choose this Holiday Inn next time we come to the area - hopefully in the next year or so.

We stayed in one of their very clean and nice suites. The beds were nice, the room very clean and the staff super friendly on check-in. I requested additional towels and they showed up at the door in minutes. The pool and jacuzzi were nice with the exception on the small kids treating the jacuzzi like a baby pool (parents please keep your kids out of the hot tubs). I did not eat at the resturant because just down the road was an abundance of food locations. I recommend this hotel and will stay in the future for sure.
