Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dirty, smoke odor throughout and heat and toilet not functioning This hotel is by far the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. We arrived around 2 am exhausted with a reservation and If I hadn't been so exhausted and feared I could not find other accomodations I certainly would not sleep there. The entire hotel is dated and smells like smoke. The beds are uncomfortable and very much beyond replacement. The heat would not come on, the toilet wouldn't flush unless you flushed it three times, mold in shower, hair on bathroom floor, the carpets were stained, wallpaper peeling, etc. I used my points but received an invoice anyway. Front desk didn't seem at all surprised by my problems in my room and offered free breakfast. ( I declined) I would not at all recommend this hotel and would recommend it be removed from the Holiday Inn chain. April 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed The hotel and our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There was hair in our bathtub. There were also noisy people outside our room late into the evening. We felt that the price we paid for this room was very high considering the quality of our stay. We weren't even asked if we were IGH members. Not sure if we got our points, even after showing the clerk my card! So disappointed, as we usually have good experiences at Holiday Inns. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything satisfactory--exceeded expectations. This hotel was a good fit for our film festival. Most of the attendees were seniors--many of us with canes and walkers and a few in wheelchairs. We appreciated ease of navigation through hallways and common areas. Two suggestions: As there were many ten-top tables at the buffet-style banquet, an attempt was made to call tables up one at a time, resulting in some confusion and overcrowding at the buffet line. In future, it would be helpful if tables were marked with large, easily visible numbers on elevated card holders. Desserts were brought out piece-meal, which resulted in people standing around waiting for replenishments. Dessert table should have been larger and separate from entree table(s), with a larger selection immediately available. Food was delicious, HOT and nicely presented! March 23, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Outdated - Easy to find a better value Every aspect of this hotel screams for renovation. The heating/cooling did not work properly. The shower would not maintain a set temperature because the faucet handle would adjust on its own. I had to unplug the clock and microwave for access to usable electrical outlets. Definitely would not return to this hotel in the future. March 16, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxed, comfortable stay We visit this hotel annually in spring as part of a conference group. The staff are generally very hard working and provide the best service they can, but the facility needs some improvement. The catering offerings need to improve. The rooms and service are its best features. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in each room, so guests can prepare some of the own meals and/or eat at a plethora of restaurants, all situated nearby. The hotel is situated about 8-10 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg. Thus, it offers value for families with very reasonable pricing. Staff go above and beyond to please guests. The bar and restaurant need updating, as do the meeting rooms; however, all the guest rooms have been renovated and are comfortable and pleasing, bright and contemporary, and offer all amenities for guests' comfort. I would like to see uniforms on front office staff, for a little more professionalism.. March 16, 2016
