Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall experience Generally very good, very conformtable and easy to find July 14, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn in Stonehenge The air conditioning in our room quit working on night one; there was no one available to fix it so we were given a fan which did not really solve the problem. We were told it was fixed the next day but it quit working the second night and the only solution was a fan. On the third day we were switched to a new room, but that was after two miserable nights!! Not a happy camper. Either the night staff needs to be able to fix things or we should have been switched to a new room the second day. July 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel We stayed at the Holiday Inn, near Stonehenge for one night in a family room. We were pleased with the room July 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay, exceptional dining We were exceedingly happy with our experience! I would absolutely stay here again and recommend eating in the dining room. Not only was the menu extensive, everything we tried was delightful! We will absolutely stay here during our next visit to the area. July 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and lovely big towels Overall stay was very good, staff friendly, rooms clean and comfortable, lovely deep bath and great towels. Heated towel rail didn't work and was loose on the wall, pillows flat and not very comfortable, but neither spoiled the overall stay. Downside was bar closed at 12 without warning, regardless of the fact that there were many guests still socialising in the lounge - on querying this, a fellow guest was informed that bar closed at the managers discretion and did not have to stay open even when residents wished to continue drinking... bit of a shock, especially to american group of visitors. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel stuck out in middle of nowhere. And no fridge in room. This hotel exists solely due to the 4 mile proximity of Stonehenge, but there are so many other more interesting places you could stay in nearby towns. The hotel is a 30 minute walk from the unlovely village of Amesbury, stuck out on dual carriageway services, opposite a huge new warehouse distribution centre being built, with only Harvester, Pizza Hut and KFC as your out-of-hotel dining options. The rooms are actually quite small for a modern hotel and most annoyingly most rooms do not even have a fridge. The restaurant and bar are very good, with excellent food and service, but ultimately you are paying a high price for a location that is not needed; Stonehenge is still a 10 minute drive away and you could stay in far more appealing locations or towns not much further away. Good for an overnight stay but that's about it. July 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Late Check In We arrived at the hotel at 2.00am on our return from the Glastonbury Festival and decided to book a room for the night. The staff couldn't have been more helpful under the circumstances and checked our party in quickly and efficiently. The room was excellent and just what we needed July 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by reunion stay stayed here as it was close to Larkhill and they had done a deal with the Regiment. Very accommodating, even went as far as putting up our Regimental Standard when asked. July 2, 2014
