Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Like the new decor Recently updated internally, making a less formal area. Same menu, which is a shame, and limited options at the bar. February 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One Night Stay Good, well equipped room although wifi signal could be stronger. Restaurant organisation needs a total overhaul. February 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable stay Great hotel, great staff and comfortable stay, the location was convenient for Salisbury. February 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Fab stay for Valentines. Special offer so was very reasonable and had a great experience here. Food great, rooms great. February 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RELAXING ROOM We had a lovely weekend away, able to relax and the noise level was very low. February 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Corporate Vandalism The hotel is clean, the staff very attentive, courteous and helpful. Internet was reliable and relatively fast. Rooms were quiet and the heating / air conditioning worked well. Mattress wasn't great and our room pretty small. Not value for money given what we paid for it but as I'm not allowed to tell you we paid £65.00 for a double (room only) I'm not sure this comment helps. Breakfast is far too expensive but as I'm not allowed to tell you you can get the same type of breakfast less than a minutes walk away for half the price I'm not sure how much this comment helps. Manager responsible for one of the worst cases of corporate vandalism I've seen. He's put vinyl wraps around an award winning sculpture outside the hotel to advertise Starbucks Coffee. Like painting glasses on the Mona Lisa and telling everyone to go to Specsavers. "The sixth and final sculpture in a series of public art has been installed in Amesbury. The award-winning series of sculptures was inspired by aspects of the natural landscape and heritage of Wiltshire and created by sculptor Charlotte Moreton, with teams of apprentices from the QinetiQ Apprentice Training School at Boscombe Down. And this morning, the final work, Bladehenge, was officially unveiled with the help of MP John Glen, TV’s Phill Harding and QinetiQ managing director Gaz Borland at the Holiday Inn, Solstice Park." Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location for Stonehenge The dining room decorated and furnished in 1950s retro has little or no ambience and rather lets down the rest of the hotel. Food is ok but limited choice. Probably better quality than the decor suggests but we were nervous of trying anything ambitious that we might otherwise have done - like slow cooked pork for example. Mixing goose rillette with scallops seemed totally bizarre to us although we often have either ingredient separately. All the staff we encountered on this brief visit were helpful and friendly. Our pillows were too hard but we didn't find that out until we went to bed and were not then disposed to get them changed as mentioned in a label on the pillows as we were then in our night attire. No other pillows in the wardrobe as in some hotels. February 15, 2015
