I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago for business. The location is perfect, within walking distance of almost everything you could need to get to. The staff were always extremely helpful with me and provided directions and recommendations as needed. The rooms are very comfortable . The breakfast at "On the avenue" was delicious and plentiful. We didn’t use the pool so I can’t comment on that. All in all, it was a great hotel experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends.

Comfortable bed and great service, I felt very comfortable during my stay.
I was very surprised that the front desk person greated me with my name.

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Windsor. The location was ideal with the Casino just a walk away and with Detriot just a few minutes. The hotel was very comfortable and the the staff was great. Will definately being staying there again.

The House keeping staff does a fablous job .

My first time to Canada, hey! Very cool town, and one cool hotel.
The person at the Front Desk treated me like royalty; I guess since I was from the United States. Or maybe, she treats everyone like that. Well, I might have to go back, to find out.

As downtown hotels go, this one is great. It's right in the heart of everything. The location is great, but the staff is even better. They took wonderful care of me and my family. i will stay here again and again.

I have stayed at a lot of HI in the US and Canada, I can see some worked harder than the other. This location is in downtown Windsor, Canada, parking at the side to check in is a bit tight in space. Staff was very friendly and very efficient, and when I went in my room, the fresh smell was awesome, not too strong and really refreshed my mind. A Thank You letter with my name already printed on it was laying on the bed along with 2 pieces of chocolate. Things were well organized and neat, the temp was set very comfortably. They cannot keep the hotel from getting old, but they can keep it from looking old. I will definitely stay there again. Good job!
PS, the budgies in the cage needs more loving care!!!

Their were multiple guest on our floor who yelled in the halls and rooms until 7am, knocked on my door & threatened guests. Security was not effective until my 4th call when I advised that I was frightened & contacting the police.
My bathroom had not been cleaned when we checked in, our air/heat did not work properly, the shower would not turn on, lamps were missing bulbs & the Internet connection was poor. None of the hotels ice machines were functioning. The connected restaurant had a limited bar menu with poor quality food.
I utilize hotel lodging at least 3 nights a week. This was the worst experience I've ever had. This intel seems to cater to guests 21 & under who have come across the border simply for the lower drinking age.
The General Manager attempted to resolve my concerns at check out, but her efforts could not make up for the lack of sleep & poor security. I believe had she been present the evening before, there may have been less tolerance for the unruly guests.

During a recent trip to Windsor I was unexpectedly able to conclude my business several hours ahead of schedule and this presented an opportunity for me to return home early.
After explaining my predicament/opportunity to the front desk staff I was very pleasantly surprised when they agreed to let me check-out at 6 pm so I could head home.
As a frequent business traveler any extra time spent I get to spend at home is highly valued. Thank you.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant (not run by hotel) had good breakfasts and reasonable prices. But since hotel is on main street it was extremely noisy on Friday and Saturday night with revellers from both Windsor and Detroit partying up and down the street. If you must stay on the weekend ask for a room facing the tunnel instead of the street.

The location of this hotel is great if you want to be close the the casino or the Windsor downtown bar scence. The parking was a nightmare if you have a SUV or pick up truck. Our bathroom was very dated. I am a size 6 and could barely fit on the toilet between the wall and the vanity. Anyone larger would have been looking for a different room.

I have been staying at this location for many years even before it was a Holiday Inn. The service has always very good. This last trip there I was unable to get internet access. I called the front desk and they said they knew about the problem and were trying to get it fixed. Unfortunately it never did work that night. I had some reports that I was planning on completing that could not be done. Overall this is an excellent location and I will continue to use it when I am in the Windsor area.

Traveling of business it's important to workout and the hotel exercise room had two treadmill and they didn't work. There was no out order sign so I said maybe they didn't the equipment was broken , fair enough. But that tell me nobody checks the operation of the equipment for safety check also.
