Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Loud, Small Bathroom The bathroom was extremely tiny, could hardly move around in it. No room for toiletries, etc. Located near the elevator being repaired made for noisy days. Was given the wrong room number at check in, took some time to sort it out. July 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location I enjoyed staying at this location. The staff was very friendly. There are two things that you should be aware of. The first is that the elevators are being worked on, so there is only one running at the time and it can be a while before it shows up. According to the sign, the work is due to be finished on June 30. The second is that the bathroom is small, and the toilet is wedged into a small area at the front on the bathroom. This makes things interesting if you're a larger person or have mobility issues. Otherwise, I was very happy during our stay and would definitely book there again. June 26, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Parking Overall the hotel was acceptable considering we were there to sleep. One problem experienced was parking. I arrived to the hotel at 02:30 am after flying into Toronto airport and driving cross country to Windsor. The roads leading up to the hotel were blocked due to weekend revelers. After driving around a few times I decided to contravene the blocked sign. I was confronted by a police patrol vehicle to whom I explained that I had just arrived from the UK and I was heading towards the Holiday Inn Express. Eventually I was allowed to continue heading towards the hotel. The hotel does not have any sign indicating that there is additional parking in the basement for Holiday Inn residents. June 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Place We came across the border from a Tigers game, and it was hard to find the hotel because the entire street was closed except for the part that the hotel was on. The staff was friendly, the room was nice and the bathroom was clean. The mattress and pillows were comfortable but we were placed next to the elevators and could hear them throughout the night. AWESOME (not). Then we tried to use the pop machine to get a water but it was out so we went to the floor below and it only takes quarters. Finally getting quarters it took $1.75 but would not take the last quarter. After ten minutes I just gave up and got my quarters back. (Although they were Canadian, not USA). The check out time was not until noon so that was nice but the room was kind of small. Just enough room for a bed, TV, mini fridge, and bathroom, just enough. Overall, it was nice but I would try somewhere else next time. June 10, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Upgrade as a platinum member, I always ask if an upgrade is available, I was told that I had been upgraded to the 6th floor. I went to my room & it was the same room type that I had booked, I looked around the 6th floor & it looked like any other floor. On my way out to dinner I stopped at the front desk to inquire what was so special about the upgrade they had given me. I was told that the rooms on the 6th floor had "upgraded" things in them. I asked what was upgraded & was told the clock radio was. I thought she was kidding, but she was serious. It's great to be a platinum member April 29, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the rate. The lift didn't work, or one of the two available worked, but it was too slow to wait for. The rooms where not sound proof at all. The 3rd floor is very noisy with its traffic to the swimming pool. The restaurant lacked décor and offered zero atmosphere. This hotel's only advantage is it's location. April 16, 2014

But I thought "why fix it if it's not broke" Of the times I visited each and every time, I was welcomed with a genuine smile and such a friendly attitude. My room was clean and oh so comfortable, the pillows, seems like such a miniscule item but to me with a sore neck it means the world to me. The Lobby starts my day, early in the morning it's so peaceful, a coffee and a paper, perfect. The area I love, restaurants the river, sometimes I wish I could call it home. April 14, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great hotel - mediocre location This was a great hotel to stay in - the rooms were comfortable, the staff offered great service, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The only downside to the hotel is that most of the surrounding area is dead - compared to when I was last year a few years ago the number of restaurants and bars in the area have drastically declined. There are a number of restaurants and bars in the area with "opening soon" signs in the windows - maybe that means that the area will come back and take away this one bad factor. March 30, 2014

The room had a comfortable bed but the bathroom was very dated. The windows didn't offer much in the way of silence as you could hear people down on the street and I was on the 7th floor. I forgot my razor at home and they had some disposable ones at the front desk. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Changes I regularly stay in this hotel when I am in the area. They have been going through some renovations which can be disruptive. Last year it was the parking lot, which by the way used to be free for me but is no longer. On my past stay it was the elevator. Only one is working till the end of April. The maintenance man told me you have to press the down button to get the remaining elevator (no matter which direction you want to go). That useful info came after standing there for over five minutes. I tried to have a shower that night and couldn't get the water above about 50 degrees. Sadly at 5;30 the following morning it wasn't much better - maybe 60. March 2, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 5 Star Staff in a 2 Star Building The building and rooms are well past their prime. The room was clean and everything worked fine, but overall the building is drab. The staff I met was very helpful and polite. They couldn't have been better. This hotel is literally around the corner from Canadian customs after entering Canada via the tunnel. I would stay there again if need arose, but it probably won't be my first choice next time. February 27, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Windsor Hilton downtown I and my wife did not like the fact that the room cleaning came and knocked on door to see if they could clean the room instead of us getting a chance to get up and get ready at are conveince and if we were not out at a certain time they did not come back to clean the room and the management at the hilton knew I had a guide dog - service dog and I needed a bit more time to get ready in the mornings to go out and also we went 3 out of 5 nights where we did not get are room cleaned because had to tell room cleaner we were still in there and we went without any personal supplies except the things we brought are selves and we had to use sams towels over to the next day.We also did not have hot water in are sink taps but shower water was okay. The adjoining restaurant was very convenient and served excellent meals. The hotel is close to all the attractions of downtown, yet quiet and cozy. It also has a beautiful pool and a washer and dryer should you need these. Definitely recommend staying there and will do so again! Can't say enough about the staff--they make you feel right at home. Checkin is very quick and painless, Being an IHG member I am always greeted with a snack and two bottles of water when I get to my room.
