Stayed one night on business. The hotel was very clean and front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel was very good. The restaurant was average at best.

Loved staying at the Holiday Inn-Downtown, went to a fantastic restaurant across the street for meals, called Stella's.

Stayed four nights. Rooms very clean and beds quite comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Dining area lacks ambience but good value. Rates competitive. Overall a very pleasant experience.

I always choose this hotel when in Winnipeg for business. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. I especially enjoy the pub attached (Garbonzo's). The gym is lovely, but lacking a standing fan and the hotel is excellent overall.
My only complaint was being absolutely rushed through the check-in procedure. Clearly the staff were very busy, but I wasn't told about the internet, where the elevator was, where to get coffee, that there was a pool or gym. It was just "here's your keys." Lovely, lovely staff, but this was too rushed.

The bed was comfortable and the service was great. The exterior noise could be very loud making going to sleep difficult. I arrived on the Monday of a long weekend and That night there were people drag racing down the street as well as a few police/ambulance sirens. I heard that the racing was a common occurrence on weekends (I forget if they were usually on Saturday or Sunday). I didn't eat in the restaurant, but commonly went across the street to a handy restaurant nearby which had what I wanted. The hotel was situated very close to where I was conducted business and the prices were reasonable.
