My family and I had a most comfortable and pleasant experience at this property. The entire staff was friendly and professional. We will certainly stay there again and highly recommend it to everyone.

I stay at this location for business once a month. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is due for an overhaul, but it is clean.

Upon entering the hotel, the lobby was very clean; however, upon entering the room, we were greeted with flies buzzing around the room and spiders crawling up the wall. We made mention of the insects to the front desk.
The breakfast in the hotel was subpar (bacon, eggs (cold), grits (too much cheese); however, the fruit tray was beautiful and the best part of the breakfast. The wait staff on the first day in the restaurant was not very accommodating, and it wasn't until the second day, when Kim (extremely pleasant and helpful) informed us that we had more than just water for our choice with the breakfast buffet. The waitress on the first day didn't even bother to show us to a table. We had to ask for anything and everything that was needed.
Construction on the roof was going on during our stay, so the hammering drowned out our morning speakers.
The only reason I was staying at this hotel was for a conference I was attending. It is suppose to change to a new hotel chain. Hopefully, the new chain will be much better than the current hotel.

Staff was helpful and welcoming. Phoenix Grill was very nice and food was quite good. Appreciated having a room at the outside door for easy access.

Had never been to Winston Salem so I was unsure of location. Turned out this was an easy access to many of our activities. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions. Comfortable accomodations and the price makes it a good value. Would highly recommend and plan to return. Would suggest to choose from menu instead of breakfast buffet.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by zwelch85 Needs a Remodel Bad!!!
This is my first time staying at a hotel in this area, and I always stay with IHG Hotel Brands. I was doing work about 30 mins from this site, and was working the night shift, so therefore I needed somewhere that I could relax and sleep during the day.
My stay started off with me checking in. The lady at the front desk was friendly, and the check in process went ok. I was not recognized for being a platinum member, and was offered no upgrades, etc. I went up to the room that I reserved and found that it did not have a microwave or fridge; and I found this to be an issue as I planned to be in the area for well over 3 weeks. I went back down to the desk and was told that none was available. After explaining that I was going to be at the hotel for 3+ weeks and needed a room with a fridge and microwave, and that if this could not be handled that I would just check out and go to another hotel. With that being said I guess some miracle happened and a Suite become available (only type of room with a fridge and microwave) The downfall to this is although I am a platinum member, and upgrades are supposed to be a privilege, I was otherwise told it would cost me an additional $20 a night for the hotel room.....I agreed due to the need and went on my way. When I got to the room, I was very astonished at the need for a remodel. The couch was worn out, their is a tube TV in the room still and the lighting in the room is horrible (very dark).
I went on with my stay and was ok with everything until I came in from work one night. I arrived at the hotel to find that hotel was packed, every parking spot taken, and the patrons were parking on the street, grass, fire lanes, etc. I drove around for 20 minutes before putting my brand new car into the muddy grass. When I made my way into the hotel I found the lobby beyond packed. What made me even more mad at this point was the fact that I was stopped at the front door to the hotel and was told I needed a ticket to enter (obviously some kind of paid program going on) I advised the man I was a guest and went on through. The place was extremely loud and the guest were all over the place. I was hoping that by the time I made it up to my room their would be some peace a quite, but was I wrong...due to the party on site being out of control, the patrons of the party were wondering the halls of the hotel and were very loud, needless to say, the one night I got off from work and was going to be able to sleep in I was kept up until around 4am due to the loud partying.
I understand hotels are in it for the money, but a simple notification on check in of the party that was planned would have been nice, it would not have scared me away, but it would have showed that the hotel cared about its guest.
I cut my 3-4 week stay with the hotel short due to their shortcomings a moved to another IHG hotel about 1 hour away from my work site. Although the travel is longer to work each day, at least the hotel I am now staying at is clean, quite, and much more modern.
I do not recommend anyone stay in this hotel if you are looking for modern day essentials and relaxation.

Only con is we checked in around 8pm and out by 7am....little costly for the length of time we were actually in the room.
