Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Under Construction Pulled in Sunday evening after flying and driving all day. What a shock. I dont think the rooms have been remodeled since 1972. There was mud and dirt allover the interior hallways as well as the walkways into the hotel. The resturaunt was closed as well as the longe. The receptionist at the front desk was great. I would never go back and it wont be a Holiday Inn much longer. From one of the facilities guys they are converting it to another hotel chain. Windows laying up against the side of the building and debri all over the premises. Not usually a problem but they could have mentioned the renovation on their website. January 23, 2014

Charles was one of the best staff members of the IGH family that I have met. I have stay at a lot of the IHG hotel and he is very must management material. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Going Downhill fast! I visit this town often and I always make reservations here without hesitation. However, this past visit is my last until something changes. I don't know what has happened to my beloved home away from home, but it has happened quickly. There were four water leaks in the hallways, one of the treadmills in the fitness room has been broken for months (all it needs is a new safety key), the outdoor lighting is nonexistent to the point that I elected to eat dinner from a vending machine rather than take a risk walking to my car alone, in the dark, to drive to get something to eat, the heating unit was loud and ran all night long, and I had to track down a cleaning staff just to get what is supposed to be daily service. DO NOT STAY HERE! It used to be the best place to stay for the money. That has all changed, January 3, 2014

I also must comment the housekeeping department for making sure my room was clean and comfortable each evening. I will definitely stay again on future trips to the area. December 15, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by First impressions Upon entering the hotel, the lobby was very clean; however, upon entering the room, we were greeted with flies buzzing around the room and spiders crawling up the wall. We made mention of the insects to the front desk. The breakfast in the hotel was subpar (bacon, eggs (cold), grits (too much cheese); however, the fruit tray was beautiful and the best part of the breakfast. The wait staff on the first day in the restaurant was not very accommodating, and it wasn't until the second day, when Kim (extremely pleasant and helpful) informed us that we had more than just water for our choice with the breakfast buffet. The waitress on the first day didn't even bother to show us to a table. We had to ask for anything and everything that was needed. Construction on the roof was going on during our stay, so the hammering drowned out our morning speakers. The only reason I was staying at this hotel was for a conference I was attending. It is suppose to change to a new hotel chain. Hopefully, the new chain will be much better than the current hotel. November 13, 2013
