To be served my colleague and I both had on two occasions to go to the waiter station to get them to take our order. Although the restaurant wasn't busy the wait for courses was long. My colleague had caught the waitresses eye but was ignored. One waitress, Chloe, was curt and unfriendly. It took so long to get my dessert I gave up and asked her to remove it from the bill. I immediately voiced my complaint to reception who promised to pass to a manager who would contact me. Almost a week and I'm still waiting. I'm afraid I can't recommend this hotel although the location at the race course is pleasant. September 28, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mediocre Mediocre is the word for this hotel. It has a good setting and has the potential to be a brilliant hotel but it looks like IHG / Holiday Inn has forgotten about it. That is reflected in the decor, the dated furnishings and some of the staff who don't seem well trained or, in one case, was rude to me as a defence for her totally inadequate service. I'm a regular traveller and I stay at IHG and other hotels many times each month. This one isn't of the standard that I expect from IHG or Holiday Inn or any decent branded hotel. It's OK and it's clean but don't expect anything more. September 27, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Questionable Value Food was lukewarm. It took my husband ages to get served, felt like he was being ignored in the Parade Bar. Very hot water, there was no sign anywhere in the bathroom indicating this which there should be. Shower controls not very easy at all, you either had very hot or lukewarm was the best you could get but it was not very powerful. September 27, 2015

Not the best restaurant experience but the Manger on the night did apologise . The rooms are slightly dated now and the bed was not the most comfortable . Value for money good. September 18, 2015

We didn't know we had a breakfast paid for by our company,the hotel didn't mention that we had to order it the night before,so we couldn't have it. It would have been nice to have been told that we had to order a breakfast when we checked in,and not find out as we were leaving the morning after. September 13, 2015
