The rooms are clean, possibly in need of better TV and some furniture updates, never the less very clean and comfortable. The food quality is very high as is the standard of service. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok but not great Hot rooms, no air-con. Some issues with taps during my 4 week's stay, resolved when I pointed it out. The gym is a multigym with one rowing machine and a static bike in a windowless and airless room - not good Fast wifi, but only allowed 1 device, I've got an iPad and iPhone. Food and restaurant staff are the best bit, specials at dinner every night so plenty of variety. Breakfast not so good. Still in the area, trying Telford. August 4, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not for the faint hearted I had seen this hotel many times in the past and eventually got to stay there, on business. The Reception area and bar have the atmosphere of a deserted railway waiting room. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was OK but it was incredibly hot - with just a noisy fan to try and make it bearable. There was a great deal of noise from an air conditioning duct under my bedroom window - and from comings and goings in the car park ALL through the night. Pig-ignorant guests held loud conversations in the corridor at 2.45 am and later. All in all it is an experience I would like to forget. July 16, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dont stay here if the weather is warm I stayed in June 2014, the weather was warm but the room was very hot late evening it was 26.6 degrees. In the morning at 6.30 am it was 28.8 degrees. I couldnt sleep, when mentioned to reception on check out I was told yes other guest have mentioned it but it was a warm night. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Breakfast was just about edable as well I stay in Holiday Inn 's regularly for business and this is by far the worse one. June 13, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by rooms very clean and comfortable, the rest not so good. over the last 3 weeks i have spent 9 nights at the above holiday inn, the rooms were always clean and comfortable but i,m afraid the rest of the stay i found disappointing. On my first arrival i asked for early morning calls also complimentary paper i received niether, i had to go to reception nearly every day to get my room card swiped this is the last thing i want when i get back to my room at the end of the working day. One morning i had to leave without breakfast 7.15 as cooked meal was not ready. Some evenings in the restaurant although there were 2 waiting on staff one particular waitress was more interested in talking to the racecourse staff than the guests, i will also add the other waitress worked hard. My last morning as i was leaving early (6.00) i was informed i could have a 'breakfast to go' which i booked with reception, again when i got down to reception they said they knew nothing about it, i was offered a muffin. So i,m sorry to say this particular time i was very disappointed with my stay at this holiday inn. June 6, 2014

We asked for a quiet room when booking and again at reception but despite the hotel not being full we had a room where we could experience the minute detail of next doors activities. In the morning I woke to have a shower but found both hot and cold taps scalding hot. I then noticed a letter under the room door stating that there was problems but we could use the shower in an empty room. We complained but just got told the engineers were trying to fix it. I think customer service skills here could have been better. May 7, 2014

The staff are all really friendly and very helpful. The rooms we have stayed in,have all been clean,nicely decorated and fresh. With great views. I would recommend this hotel for individuals,couples and families. it is ideal for my 5 year old child and myself. Get booking!! April 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dated and noisy room with lovely staff Check in efficient and friendly. The rooms are old and quite dated although clean. My evening meal was excellent. A compressor within the hotel started running well before 05.00 which woke me up. Breakfast before 07.00 is sparse and no tea or coffee offered. Checkout although friendly was very slow due to the card payment machine failing. Even with the negatives I'd stay here again. April 22, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never to be visited again.. Having checked in at midnight, I was greeted by one of the most unhelpful and rude members of staff I have ever come across. When I booked a room I was told this included free wifi, however I was informed by your receptionist "you're not important enough you'll have to pay"' then when trying to order a we'll deserved beer I waited 10-15 mins for anyone to stay. The overall customer service in the hotel was awful and made me think if I have a reward card with you and the staff are rude. What are they like with everyone else?? March 28, 2014

Room overlooking the parade ring was very nice, had a drink in the bar prior to the race meeting. Great entertainment after the race meeting with a small walk back to the room. all in all a great weekend away if u enjoy the races. Would go again. March 19, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place, shame about the bed The staff were friendly and efficient, and the facilities generally good - excellent location at the racecourse (we were ther for the racing) and nice to have a view of the parade ring, which meant a quiet night with no traffic noise. Unfortunately we were able to fully appreciate the quiet night as we were awake for much of it due the uncomfortable bed and hard pillows. March 19, 2014

Have stayed in many Holiday Inn's but first time in a HI Garden Court - I hope this isn't a consistent experience of this derivative of the HI brand! Feel of the hotel is outdated & in need of an update! Room was OK but had an 'old' feel to it. Bathroom was clean & shower was great. Bar area on arrival was full of drunk race-goers from the horse racing that night at the adjacent Wolverhampton track. Welcomed as a Gold IHG member & staff overall were very good. Breakfast, whilst conveniently timed thru' to 11.30am at weekends, was poorly presented & of poor quality! The hot plates/lamps don't keep food hot #beans for beans on toast were cold!!# & the sausages were just 'fat in plastic' & greasy having been swimming in grease under the 'cold lamps' - totally inedible!!! Whole breakfast 'experience' needs looking at by the hotel as not up to the IHG/Holiday Inn standards re: the family of brands. In all, there are better hotel alternatives with IHG in the area & I would not stay here again soon. March 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Okay hotel but Gym?? I was warmly welcomed at reception.. Nothing special as seen but some other holiday inn hotels but okay. The room was nicely decorated with good temperature controls. I like hotels with gyms as This gives me a good excuse for a hearty breakfast. However the gym left alot to be desired. I struggled to find the Gym via a freezing passageway that was virtually unlit. there was one read old and very loud excercise bike that was being used. So i had to return later. you would think for a hotel that size they could have had a better gym with a more modern bike not so loud. i would suggest at least 2 bikes. Withstanding my keeness for just 60 minutes of excercise the breakfast was tasty and with a good selection. not a problem to park. So i will recommend a stay for those who do not use the gym February 28, 2014

Anyone of the people I met would have stood out in any other hotel the food is also very good quality, variety and value. The only negative is that the rooms could do with an update January 8, 2014
