Stayed for two nights on business. We have stayed before and like the hotel and its location. My wife accompanied me and enjoyed the facilities offered by the spa. Breakfast had a good selection but no scrambled eggs at the buffet - I must admit I did not ask for any as i didn't want to wait.
I had one late meal in the lounge area - the lasagne was a bit dry and disappointing.
Room was very good and we had two good nights' sleep although the pillows weren't the most comfortable. There was a choice but for me they were too low, and using two was too high.

Always a good welcome at this hotel and a mention of the IHG rewards when I arrived.
Food was good this time round as it normally is.
Always able to relax in the lounge.

Disspointing stay in a room that was too hot, a TV that did not have a clear picture and bar food that takes almost 2 hours to come out and drinks that take 45 minutes to be brought from the bar to the table. Staff that could not cope taking orders or getting the food out in a reasonable time frame on a night when there were no more than 4-8 tables at any time in the bar and the restaurant was empty so no reason why staff shoud have been taking strain trying to service the customers.
Breakfast - well, Just saying that the Fried Egg could have been used as an ice hocky puck will give you an idea.

We held our wedding at your hotel on Jan 17th 2015.
We would like to thank Lianne, Laura, Nick, Mike and their teams for making the day go smoothly all be it rather quickly. Nothing was a problem to any of the staff and they are a credit to the hotel and hope they are credited for all their hard work. Can you also pass on our thanks to the DJ for great tunes and for letting one of our guests give us some vocals.
Everyone commented on the wonderful pastry on the apple pies and we thank the chef and his team for that and the extra filling.
Make sure your tasting menu is the same as what is on offer with your package.
Our guest were surprised that a Holiday Inn could produce the day we had as HI was known to be cheap & small. This hotel is nothing like that.
