Hotel is new and clean. nothing around at night. after 10 pm you cant get any food outside. Few things to see in the day time. Mostly business district where people are gone home after work. Hotel itself is very nice inside and out.

As you can see my ratings for Holiday Inn® Incheon Songdo are not very high. Or my responses might be quite erratic. Reasons are:
1. Smoking rooms are not available. This hotel is 100% non-smoking, so I was told. During my stay the temperature in Incheon was averaging minus 1 degree Celsius, so I had to go outside of the hotel to light up a few times under such bitter cold . Which made my stay in this hotel rather unpleasant overall. If you don't want to have smoking rooms available per your corporate policy, then at least set aside an indoor smoking area for those 20~30% of your clients who actually choose to smoke as part of their lifestyle choices.
2. The service in the "egg station" during the morning buffet wasn't customer-friendly. Usually in other hotels, I just had to place an order with the chef, go get other stuffs, and I return with my eggs done. However, in this Holiday Inn Incheon Hotel, the chef would make me wait for my egg --- he would start cooking only when I wait next to him. I have stayed in 70 different 4/5-star in the past 6 years (on business trips mostly) across the Asia Pacific region. This is first time I see this. This might be a very minor point and that's why I didn't raise objection on site. But I just find it strange.
3. But to be sure, the managers at the reception counter, concierge desk, and janitorial services are first-rate professionals that are very enthusiastic about their work. Please send my applause to them.
