Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by You Can Find Something Better (if you can find this place at all) First of all, this place is hard to find. The 2000 Loucks Road address did not appear in my GPS and if you go to the intersection of the two main roads, the motel is not visible nor are there any discernible signs or markings. In fact, it is off the main road, on an unnamed lane hidden in the bushes behind a Wal-mart. The property is tired and my room was not very clean. The bedding was fine, but the drapes, carpet and bathroom tile could have used a good vacuuming and scrubbing. I had a no-smoking room, but the sweet smell of aromatic disinfectant is pervasive. My room was not available for me at 3:30 in the afternoon, so I had to go out for the evening, return and check-in at 11 PM. After some discussion, the clerk agreed to take my credit card so that I would at least have a room to come back to, but would not supply a key until my return. (I guess she was afraid that I might go and assist the staff in preparing the room). The bar was out of Grey Goose vodka, but someone had left an empty Grey Goose bottle on the bar display. The bartender was surprised that it was empty, but remarked that it had probably been left on display because it looks good. (Huh?) All in all, pretty ordinary, and I'm pretty sure I could find a better property elsewhere, particularly for the price they charged. Be back next year for the same event and will find an alternative. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Last minute planning We stopped at this hotel during our voyage back to Maine from our family vacation in Florida. It was a last minute decision but it was well worth it as the boys enjoyed the indoor pool and got rid of a lot of energy from the long drive. It was refreshing and relaxing. The hotel had a restaurant but we had already eaten at a local Chilli's before arriving. Plenty of other places nearby too. February 28, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Hotel stay in years This is a date Holiday inn. Doesn't smell fresh. Resturaunt closed could only order food in the dark and dingy bar. I also found the bed in my room was broke in half. when i went to go to bed. When I checked out early the next morning the night auditor didn't ask why I was leaving 3 days early didn't even ask how my stay was or if there were any problems. I will recomend to my coworkers to never use this hotel. i also told my customer whom I was visiting how bad my experience was... February 12, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Yukky in York ! This hotel is just poor. The bar was open 5-to 8 pm. When I asked why, I got a smart comment from the young woman at the desk. The room was dirty, the hallways smelled! I told the woman the reason I stay in a full service hotel is to get a sandwich at 9pm and maybe a beer. The breakfast coupon was for 1 meal. If you eat healthy, perhaps cerial or fruit they charge you! I travel over 100 nights a year, and was a platinum member. I doubt they will post this, but it is 100% spot on !!!! January 21, 2013

The thermostat on the heater didn't work, so I had either too much heat or had to turn the unit off. I can't believe Holiday Inn allows this place to use their name. It should be torn down. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is where to stay while you're in York PA One of my favorite hotels, because everybody on the staff makes sure to be as helpful and pleasant as possible, and just about everything is done right. I'm here for several days each year for an event at the York county Fairgrounds, for which this is the closest hotel. When driving to and from the Fairgrounds, be sure to use the Hotel's convenient rear driveway. November 24, 2012

I am never disappointed and each year the quality of the customer service seems to improve. If something is wrong, the staff is quick to make it right. The dining room has a decent dinner menu and breakfast is good, too ---- including a weekend buffet with several choices. Looking forward to my return trip next year....... November 24, 2012

The bar was particulary bad with extremely poor service and watered down drinks that were not made correctly. Front staff and Harrigans staff extremely frendly and helpful. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Over priced older property I paid much less for the same room type earlier this year at the Holiday Inn Express in Walt Disney World. That property is 2 blocks from Downtown Disney and has around the clock transportation to all Disney theme parks and attractions. So the HIExpress in YORK PA costs more than the one at WDW? But wait, it gets better. We were informed at check-in that there is no elevator. I could not believe it. Naturally that little detail was not mentioned in the on-line description. This is an older property and elevators may not have been code when this 2 story structure was first built but how about customer coveniences. Adding insult to injury, this over priced room had neither a microwave nor a mini refridgerator. Everyone offers those conveniences to customers in this day and time. We were unable to change hotels due to some large convention(s) in town otherwise we would have never booked it in the beginning. So we were stuck and very disappointed. Won't be returning to his locaton for the next family visit. October 25, 2012

I might add that after the hotel cancelled my reservation, reinstated it then cancelled it again they finally got it right and confirmed me at the original price. Balinda M who I believe is the head of housekeeping was exceedingly helpful and got me a fridge and micro wave in 5 minutes. Now that is service October 23, 2012

Traveling with pets so large grassy areas behind hotel nice for walking dogs without a lot of busy traffic and not near roads. Just remember to pick up after your pets please! Had planned to eat in, with room service, for breakfast, but hotel staff never picked up completed menu that was hung on the door knob. If ordering in for breakfast, might I suggest you walk your completed menu request down to the front desk to ensure you receive your breakfast in the morning. October 20, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Staff and Facilities Except for Jessica your supervisor at the reception desk everyone at the hotel was not very friendly. Because of Jessica our stay was better than when it started off. We booked the hotel in December 2011 and requested downstairs by the pool, at that time we were told that requests would be given closer to the date of the event. We were there with Quick Quotes and when we arrived were given an upstaris room, which smelled and was not in great shape. The woman at the desk at one point told us she would refund our money at full price and gave us a number of another hotel for us to go to. We were with an event at the hotel and found this very disturbing. The next moring we were moved down stairs but the aggravation we had to endure Thursday night was not pleasant. And people coming in for the same event on Friday were given downstairs rooms with no problems.....Also the one woman who was helping with the luggage was wonderful as well as the comptroller so I guess you could say three people were friendly.
