Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A consistently good stay This is the 4th time we have stayed here and the good standard of service has always been the same. The only negative this time was the breakfast was not up to its usual standard on the first morning. After that everything was good. Comfortable and clean room and very helpful Staff. We look forward to our next stay. Keep up the good work. July 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Excellent stay in a very clean, quite room. Quick check in and very friendly staff through out the hotel, great breakfast choice too. Ample parking with lovely walk into York through Rowntree Park. Hotel next to racecourse via Cherry Lane. Great stay for the Tour de France weekend! Would recommend. Pet friendly too which is a bonus as we have 2 dogs. July 9, 2014

Perhaps would be good to change evening meal menu a little. ie have some specials on each night Excellent disabled parking Only complaint we had was size of bathroom We were in room 312 and bathroom you could hardly move in This was very difficult for my father who had a vision problem July 8, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Awful dinners The evening meals, particularly the main courses, were a disgrace. We had to queue for a selection of three poor main courses - e.g. a dry, over-cooked piece of chicken, or a stewed piece of salmon - and we weren't allowed to have more than one choice, The vegetables were stale and had obviously been cooked long ago. The sauces were a joke. It reminded me of a 1980's Harvester restaurant, not an expensive modern Holiday Inn. July 7, 2014
