Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great service had a lovely stay at holiday inn, staff were very helpful and breakfast if booked in advance is very reasonable. only problem was that the room was quite cold when my husband asked at reception why the heating wasnt on he was told it wasnt switched on till october but when we checked out the recepionist asked if everything had been ok so told her about how cold i was and she said they could of supplied me with a portable heater, just wish they had told us that when we first said on the sunday night how i was then i wouldnt have had to sit in bed in a jumper and socks. would certainly go back though. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable easily accessible This hotel is readily reached from the city bypass, there is a good bus service into and from city centre. Once the rush hour traffic had abated I was able to reach the bypass via the A59 easily by following the road signs. September 25, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good room - shame about the restaurant this would have been a good stay except for the restaurant and bar experience. The breakfast quality was poor with the English breakfast being very greasy. Poached eggs turned up on 1 occasion as hard as gold balls. The dinner we had on 1 evening during the stay was over priced and not as described. We rewceived a full refund for both main courses. The bar has continuos football showing on 2 television screens - not good unless you are a football fan! September 23, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ukaramcons Reunion 2014 I organised a reunion for over 100 guests and all agree this was the best reunion they had attended. This was due to the friendly staff from the Holiday Inn and people of York. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was in place when needed and the support given was beyond praise. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by weekend stay york As us usual our stay was comfortable with attentive reception staff who knew our names and preferences on arrival. The room on the 4th floor was quiet and maintained the standard expected if holiday inns. Regretfully the quality of the breakfast food was not to the usual standard expected of HI.
