Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Racing in York The stay was more or less as I expected in this sort of hotel; and good parking is a bonus over the charges in York centre. Getting into the city was no problem and on a summer evening a pleasant walk. However, watch out for the prices; they rise steeply when there are races at the nearby course. This is not immediately clear when booking on line. Staff were attentive in the bar lounge, possibly because they had to apologise as our choice of meal had run out. June 15, 2016

Also a Big thanks to George and smiling Leanne in the Restaurant Excellent Customer Skills. Peter June and Charlie our King Charles Cavalier. Hoping to be back soon. Couple of things to mention, a club biscuit as a welcome gift to members, can,t it be changed for something a bit more substantial. And we mentioned this to the Manager (Chris) all guests staying at this Hotel with a pet, should sign a piece of paper that any damage to the rooms because of the pet must be paid for, this way responsible pet owners do not get penalised.
