Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nightmare swimming pool Few points: safe deposit box does not work in the room you need to bring your belongings to front desk where you need to give all stuff to a clerk (no box, no privacy, you give things from hand to hand) restaurant supposed to be open till 23, but was open to 21 same room service very dirty swimming pool NEVER AGAIN. We have been staying at the Holiday Inn Zilina now for over five years, and we always look forward to our next stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and always make our stay a pleasant and relaxing experience. My 4 year old son is always so excited when we go here, and all the staff know him by name. The facilities are better than many 5 star hotels, a beautiful pool and fitness relax area on the top floor of the hotel with stunning views over the town and surrounding countryside. The hotel also boasts squash, tennis, bowling, gym, jacuzzi, pool, sauna and steam room facilities. The hotel also has two bars and a restaurant where you can enjoy some good local specialities from a wide and varied menu to suit most tastes. Zilina is surrounded by mountains and some beautiful countryside and there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. The town is vibrant and has many nice cafes and a fun night life. Local people are very friendly and many people are speaking english and other foreign languages. We highly recommend a stay at the Holiday Inn Zilina. January 1, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Away from the western standard. Checked into the room, and noticed the key is broken(I could not lock the door from the inside). This is their Executive room standard. Claimed to the reception and the two room suit was given with the apology. But in the 2nd room, I noted full of cigars on the ashtray, and scribbled papers. Wall installed shampoo bottle in the bath tub was empty. This is their Suit Room standard. Very poorly maintained. But there are no so many other hotels in the town. October 28, 2012
