So WHT is Zelina?
Trust me, Its one of Slovakias best kept secrets.. and to have a Holiday Inn less than 7 minutes walk from the train station... I initially thought it was a mirage..
Modern Hotel with well groomed, polite and informative staff.
Great room.. I mean GREAT!.. a Suite.. biggest I've ever gotten in a H.I.!
The gym might have been small but the relax area.. WOW!.. great sauna, pool and loungers.. didn't want to leave..
staff were great and the breakfast was extensive..
Zelina has lots of great places to go hiking, walking, skiing and just get out there and smell the snow!
For those who like to sometimes lose themselves so they can find themselves again.. the Zelina (plus the comforts of the Holiday Inn) are the place to do it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Levica always a pleasure to stay with HI Zilina
I was using IHG RC points, but anyway, the team made my stay a great experience.
Already for several times I was here, but each time they made it more comfortable as it already was the time before.
Will be a pleasure for me to come back again.
Thank you !

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 very nice hotel:)
It was my 3rd stay at HI Zilina and I liked it !
Hotel is realy clean, has very big and comfortable rooms, nice relax area on the last floor. Breakfast buffet looks fresh and give you whatever you need at the morning. Only coffee from selfservice machine is not to good...but we asked for some extra one from bar and it was delivered without any charge :)

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Marek48 Poor Maintenance
1.Air Conditioner out of control
Room Guests can not control the Air Conditioner. Changing the temperature, Switch On/Off is not at your disposal. My room was overheated. I removed the card key to terminate all electricity, but the air conditioner alone kept heating. I opened the window to terminate the magnetic contact, but the air conditioner still kept heating.
3 lumps out of 5 were dead in the room. "We will send you the engineer soon!", the reception told me. But nobody turned up till I checked out.
All of my fellow hotel guests complained the same or similar about the poor maintenance of the hotel in the following morning. I was glad that I was not the only unlucky one. I was surprised to learn all rooms were badly maintained.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TonyF Best hotel experience, superior service, run like a family hotel.
We have been staying at the Holiday Inn Zilina now for over five years, and we always look forward to our next stay.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, and always make our stay a pleasant and relaxing experience. My 4 year old son is always so excited when we go here, and all the staff know him by name.
The facilities are better than many 5 star hotels, a beautiful pool and fitness relax area on the top floor of the hotel with stunning views over the town and surrounding countryside. The hotel also boasts squash, tennis, bowling, gym, jacuzzi, pool, sauna and steam room facilities.
The hotel also has two bars and a restaurant where you can enjoy some good local specialities from a wide and varied menu to suit most tastes.
Zilina is surrounded by mountains and some beautiful countryside and there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. The town is vibrant and has many nice cafes and a fun night life. Local people are very friendly and many people are speaking english and other foreign languages.
We highly recommend a stay at the Holiday Inn Zilina.
