Pleasant hotel, next to a large shopping center. Little bit overpriced breakfast.

Just to qualify my review - I paid for the stay with my HI Points.
Our stay was OK. I spoke to a frequent guest who said that a few months ago the hotel was in the middle of and looked like it was part of a building site. The worst of that is now over though there was still some internal refurbishment in progress when we were there. This was compensated for by an upgrade to a Business Room - which was nice. Bizarrely in my view, though it may be welcomed by some guests, the hotel is now surrounded by a Shopping Centre. It had only just opened on our second visit trams both to and from the hotel were packed. If that continues then getting from the hotel to the centre of Dijon will not be as comfortable and easy as it once was.
However, two things annoyed me about our stay. The first is that we were handed a slip of paper on check in, written in both French and English. We were then told that the cost of breakfast (17 Euros each) would be added to our bill unless we returned the slip at the time of checkout. Never before have I been charged for an optional service in advance and then had to prove that I had not taken it in order to obtain a refund. I'm not even sure that's legal.
The second was a lack of English speaking channels on the TV. I believe I am right in saying that there were only 2 - BBC World News and CNN, not much of a choice and not very relaxing after a long days drive. There were in excess of 20 French Channels - why not it a French hotel, but I'm sure that the hotel gets a significant number of English speaking guests and they should be better catered for.

Worse than August. Still a building site, car park is builders yard, limited parking for guests, mainly used by contractors.
Work now 6 months late and counting. Internet access still not improved. No recognition for Rewards club status, no offer of of upgrade.
To compensate for disruption a miniature jar of Dijon Mustard left in room, ours had been opened and half eaten, we threw it in the bin - this is taking the Mickey in spades.
Dishonest description on website, it still describes a future state which is clearly a long way off.
