Average hotel, exposed to the usual price hikes of Heathrow. Fortunately I only had 6 hrs here, or would have changed rooms in the hope of finding a nicer one

Just not of any quality anyone should have to endure, no matter what level of loyalty you are.
I had a late arrival but I called and confirmed with them that I would be arriving late and asked about the shuttle, they said no problem but never mentioned that the shuttle stops at a certain time running from the airport to the hotel. I waited around and finally learned that I would have to take a taxi as the bus stopped running! When I called to try to ask the front desk at 12:30 - NO ANSWER!
Then once I arrived I was only asked my name not a warm greeting. I told them and again NO recognition that I am a Exec Platinum member! Then I asked to confirm once she handed me my room card.."this is a king bed" correct - she said no its a Single -WHAT...no I said, I booked a King-its on my reservation code and in the notes! She said OH I see but we don't have Kings available now hows a double, I said no that is not what I booked....
It just got worse from there. My room heat/air was broken, I had to call down for another room then finally I get into another room and the same, as they checked ai/heat unit broken (a wrench flashed on the panel). I gave up and stayed in the broken room as I had to get up so early.
My final straw with this property was that I requested a wake up call as I had only 3.5 hours left to sleep before my flight and NO WAKE UP call ever occurred. I would have missed my flight if not for my cell phone alarm.
I would not even begin to express my disappointment and overall disgust at the service, lack of value felt as an Exec Platinum Member as well as the overall condition of the establishment, utterly disgusting!

This was the first time I had stayed at a Holiday Inn in sometime and I was so pleased I went back. The whole experience was way above what I had expected. If you are looking for a hotel at Heathrow Airport look no further, you will not be disappointed.
