Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No apologies Tuesday 19th May - a very disturbed nights sleep, due to the fire alarm going off from 2.00am onwards. It went off at least 6-8 times. (we lost count) After about the 4th time, I managed to get through to reception, who sounded resigned, with just a 'nothing to worry about' answer. There was no apology, either then, or the next day, or when I checked out. On checking out, reception did not ask, 'how was my stay'. I feel everyone should have been given an apology and given some 'compensation' I am sure they were trying to solve the problem but it spoilt my and my guests visit to London, as on the Wednesday, we were at the Queens garden party and then went to see the Royal Ballet, somewhat tired.... It is a shame, as I use the hotel many times and was greeted well on the Tuesday evening by 'Samantha' - a very good and efficient receptionist. I choose this hotel due to location and also the leisure facilities. Rooms are now getting somewhat shabby, especially the bathroom and quality of towels not great. Breakfasts are OK nothing amazing. They have improved over time. Not as good as Glasgow city holiday inn and not as good as hotels in Europe. Regards. May 22, 2015

Mi sono sempre trovato molto bene, oltre alle ottime camere, alla pulizia perfetta , al silenzio assoluto durante la notte, alla cortesia del personale tutto,, questa volta sono stato ottimamente soddisfatto e sorpreso dal fatto che pur avendo prenotato la camera con prima colazione continentale mi è stata offerta senza alcun sovraprezzo una ottima e abbondante colazione inglese per tutto il soggiorno. The reservation of the room was non-smoking but when we arrived there was no availability and had to stay in the smoking room that smelled awful. We managed to change rooms only on the second day. The service was within the standard, it was not bad and not great, just good. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety. May 18, 2015

When the fire-alarm went off every morning of my stay, sometimes twice a morning, I am forced to call this hotel unable to provide comfortable service to its guests. May 18, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Working away I spend a couple of day per month in London with work, and always book an IHG if possible. King Cross has been the venue of choice for some time. Reception staff always treat you as a rewards member, room allocation although a bit random, is always an upgrade if they can. And this is a very welcome surprise that makes the stay even better. Food is OK, if you don't want to venture out, and the bar area is pleasant enough, with TV/ Sorts on if you are staying alone and don't want to look like a billy no mates. May 18, 2015
