A less-pricey alternative to other accommodations in this very central part of London; nice enough lobby and reasonably attentive staff, which unfortunately didn't make up for dated rooms and corridors; small, uncomfortable beds (barely a "double"); and some of the most unreliable, slowest wi-fi I've ever experienced.

I chose this hotel because it had a meeting room available for a business meeting. The hotel is close to Oxford Street but closer to Bond Street than Oxford Circus tube station. On check-in, we were asked to pay the full amount of our stay - unusual in better class hotels. The check-in took at least 10 minutes per person. When I wanted to make a conference call with colleagues who were staying in the hotel, we asked that the music in the lobby be turned down as it was quite intrusive. This was refused as we were told it is Holiday Inn corporate policy to have the music playing.
The room was small and on the ground floor where it was possible to hear trains running under the hotel.
I shall not be staying here on my next visit to London.

I must say that in comparison to other hotels in the same price range in the same area I was disappointed about the holiday inn.
The room that was assigned to me was in a straight line under 10 meters from a construction side. it took a lot of time to get me an alternative room.
If the internal communication doesn't function properly, than make sure this is not visible to the customer.
the maintenance of the room was bad, moisture damage in the bathroom, shower door partially broken, paint damage, grease stains on the wall, door of the minibar could not close anymore.
It was also clear that certain area's of the room had not been cleaned properly recently.
In total the holiday inn hotels I stayed in give the impression of to low maintenance investments and to little time for the cleaning staff to do a proper job.
